I went on a photo shoot a couple of weeks after having my hair coloured here and the photographers adored my hair. The colourists are excellent, I've been having my hair professionally coloured for 12years and it has never been as long-lasting, vibrant and healthy looking as now. The cut is superb, creative but not bonkers. These guys actually cut my past shoulder length hair into a short bob, and even hubby (a lover of long hair and bob nay-sayer) loves it and doesn't want me to grow it back 'nuff said? The decor is rather lovely, it's a period building with period features here and there to keep your eye occupied whilst having your hair washed, and the coffees tasty. The Works offers both Men's and Women's styling; it is a full service salon. There are places that may do a cut for a lot less, however, I was looking for a stylist and salon that could offer a more refined experience with attention to detail. When I arrived, my stylist greeted me on time and confirmed the services I was after before taking you to the sinks. Another salmon staff provided a relaxing shampoo and conditioner. The lady who cut my hair, Angelica, has worked independently for the shop for over 10 years. She was very friendly and my hair was just how I expected when she was through. If you are in the area and find yourself in need of a trim. Give them a try!

I thought he would be the best hairdresser in there seeing as it's him shop. This was definitely NOT the case. First the appointment lasted just over 5 minutes. He very roughly and unevenly cut off about 10 inches of hair after telling me I wouldn't suit it. The bottoms are uneven and the whole thing was done very badly. My main problem with him was how violent he was. I have fine hair and he actually hurt me several times. He brushed down my hair in front of my face so roughly I was left with scrape marks all over my face. It was a horrible experience, whilst their prices are decent I most definitely will not be going back there. Think it's time he retired.

This does include the hair cut and wash as well. I like this place because it is a bit of a pampering treat and luxury experience. The staffs are friendly and welcoming. They have plasma screens next to each chair. They also have a large selection of drinks including wine, hot chocolate, fizzy water and juice and they also give you a biscuit with it. The drinks are included in the price. They always give plenty of magazines to read. It is quite an enjoyable experience if a bit expensive.

Jade was totally awesome - first of all she got my hair (fine hair, lacks body) and also my need to have natural looking color. I am so impressed with my cut and color. All my buddies in the US have told me what a great style this is for me (I went shorter at the back). It's also really easy to manage and the style/color looks great even after a month. Jade was great to chat to, very detailed with my cut and how she wanted it to look and the whole experience was very relaxing. I only wish Jade wasn't 5,000 miles away otherwise I'd be a regular.
