They removed the hardiplank and claimed there was rotting underneath the siding and roof and kept adding more tasks to the list of repairs. By Jan. 7 our roof was torn up, even though they promised to complete the job that day, and they did not adequately protect the roof. On Jan. 8 we had torrential storms and now in addition to a torn up roof, we have water damage and flooding on two levels of our home. They cannot be found and are not answering their phones. They do not give written quotes and increase the verbal scope of work as they go along so that you end up spending far more money than you planned. In Sept. 2023 they pressure washed my house, driveway, and patio. The water pressure was so great and prolonged that it damaged siding, and a whole upper portion of siding on one side of the house had to be replaced and repainted. What should have been a $350 job turned into thousands of dollars, and the large work work crew that day left some repainting details undone. They did not respond to a text request that they return and finish the job. On Thursday 1/4/24, the alleged boss of All Pro, who said his name was David, showed up without prior notice with a 2-man crew to complete painting work from Sept. This was done at no additional cost. He also pointed out a panel of water-damaged wood behind my carport, and after much discussion I gave him permission to remove it (new work). He repeatedly begged me for more extensive siding work and kept lowering his verbal estimates, but I said no, as I could not afford it (and how glad I am that I said no!). We discussed an incoming Saturday storm several times, checking the weather apps on our phones, and David told me not to worry, that he had siding at home and the work would be finished on Friday, the next day. I gave him cash in advance for the Thursday-Friday work and my contact information. He never showed up on Friday, took cash for a job he didn't finish, and left an insulation board totally exposed to storm water damage (see photo). I had to ask for emergency help from a relative to cover the board with plastic to prevent further siding damage until it can be repaired. I will never use All Pro again. David did not respond to my text and call on the Friday he didn't show up, and didn't have the minimal integrity to contact me and explain his no-show. He has scammed other homeowners. USE THIS SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

One other handyman had looked at this for me, but their solution didn't hold up, so i was in search of a permanent fix. I have grown fond of using Yelp's "request a quote tool" to easily put out a project request to several businesses that serve my area, and find it very easy to communicate and get quotes in this manner. Unfortunately for the tool, but fortunately for me, I may not need to request a quote again for awhile, because I am just going to hiring Chris and Chase at Carolina Custom Home Improvements to do any work I have moving forward! Chris got back to me within an hour of my quote request, with which I also submitted a pair of photos of the damage. He took a guess at the issue, provided two likely solutions, a price quote based on what we could see in the photos, and was able to come do the work within just a few days. I appreciated the direct manner he answered, and his sense of urgency. On arrival, him and Chase were easy to talk with, and got right to work diagnosing the issue. Due to some cracking on the siding, they would need to replace some of it to permanently fix things. They also noticed some other damaged siding, offering to fix that while they were at it. I agreed, and they set to work calling suppliers. They were able to not only find the same manufacturer, but the correct color! Obviously, the new siding is not faded, so you can tell it's new, but that is totally expected. Once they obtained the materials (with no markup, giving me the receipt directly) they set to work. This siding is 25 feet in the air, and a hard job on a long ladder. They got it done in around 90 minutes. It fits flush and looks great, see my photos. The job site was left clean, and they even tamped down the holes in the soil made by the ladder and their feet on the soft ground. I'm happy to use them again in the future based on this work, and they are knowledgeable on several subjects. They'll at least be my first call.
