They protected the windows and shrubbery from the old roof materials that were thrown down. My complaints: I was told they would charge me $75 per sheet of plywood that needed to be replaced. Interestingly, they bought 3 pieces of heavy-duty plywood (which does cost that much) and 5 pieces of lower-quality pressed board plywood (in which a substantially lower price would have been charged.) When I questioned the female employee who came after the crew left why that price for the low-grade quality plywood, her answer (and I kid you not!) was "for labor and clean up). Hmmm. Those costs were included in the estimate. Okay. The crew was ALSO SUPPOSED to go around my home with a large magnet roller to search for metal building materials (I.e., nails!) but never did that. Thankfully, I didn't have a flat tire as a result and a second contractor found several.

I told him we had been waiting 2 months for Lowes to get it together and we are looking around for quotes. He said he is booked 5-6 weeks out minimum and I said ok I still want to get a quote from you we are looking at quotes and we might even look into home depot. We are having to shop around a little because of the Lowes situation. He said I would get the same service at home depot I did with lowes and told me go ahead and get my other estimates then. I told him I still wanted to do the free estimate through him because we are not sure who we are going through right now and he said well he is 5-6 weeks out and could not get us in especially if we are not going to choose him. If you offer free estimates on your site- you should probably not refuse to give the free estimate just because you are unsure if it will be accepted. I am a POTENTIAL client. It does not look good that you will not even come out to give the service you say you offer on the website just because I am looking at a different store. If you would have done the estimate I would have been HAPPY to wait to get the door installed by a professional installer as I have already had to wait 2 months. I hired Raleigh Woodworks to create doors for my office. When working with them, I appreciated the…read moreonline intake form where I put in ideas and uploaded inspiration links/photos. Raleigh Woodworks also follows a COVID protocol and all installers wore masks while working in the home. After coming out and doing an initial measure, there is a 50% deposit required to book and get on the schedule. When I booked over the summer, there was a 3-month wait period, so be prepared to potentially have a to wait a few months. Their office point of contact, Bobbie, was very communicative throughout the process, giving an update on the estimated install date. They also will send pictures during the build and reach out to you about hardware and color to be sure you are getting what you want. The day of the install, we had four team members come and it only took a few hours for them to install the double doors. They also make sure you're satisfied and their work comes with a 1 year warranty. I was unsure about the mullion design that I wanted and in the end, they suggested that the could lay out a few options while on site the day of the installation, which was very helpful, as I'm a visual person. In the end, we felt that the doors were too small for the planned mullions and we went without them. Another added bonus is that they design the doors so at the top, there is a removable piece in case the glass breaks or you want to switch it out, the glass just comes out in one piece. This is a nice option that I didn't think of, but helpful so that if there is an issue with the glass, one doesn't have to replace the entire door. We are happy with the doors and would recommend Raleigh Woodworks to others. To note, the final balance is due within 24 hours of the completion of the project, or a 1% late fee is charged each day thereafter.
