My wife and I had a wonderful experience working with Steve and the team at Stem productions. From the first meeting on we were struck by his attention to detail and relied heavily on his expertise. We felt we were in good hands throughout the wedding planning phase that is just naturally hectic. The wedding day also ran itself smoothly because it was well planned and our DJ did a really good job mixing. The photobooth was also a huge hit for our guests and we love the copies in a photobook that we received. Overall the team was always available, reliable, and capable. We highly recommend picking Stem productions for your wedding. read more

Steve was phenomenal and really knew how to run a wedding. He knew how to read the room, get people excited, but also had a calm and smooth demeanor to him that allowed for seamless transitions throughout the wedding. Steve also met with us a few times leading out to the wedding to make sure we were fully prepped, and his expertise showed when giving us tips and recommendations. Overall very accommodating. We also loved the Photo Booth! We spent a little extra to get the black and white / glamour filter, but it was worth every penny. Everyone looked great and the quality of the prints were just as great. If we need to throw another big event where we'll need DJ, MC, and Photo Booth services, we would love to work with Steve and his team again. The DJ also never let the dance floor die. Highly recommend all around! read more

We enjoyed working with Steve and his team throughout the entire process - from months leading up to the wedding to the day-of! He customized a package that was curated for us and our needs. Steve is very organized, professional, and accommodating, and helped us stay on task with music choices and ironing out specific details. As we got closer to the wedding, he reached out to the venue and other vendors to coordinate details with them - we appreciated this so much as it allowed us to focus on other wedding tasks, especially during the week of the wedding. He was also very quick to respond to all of our questions (and we had a lot!), which helped put us at ease during stressful times. If you are looking for DJ & Production Team who will work with you through the entire wedding entertainment preparation process and will give you the best experience possible for your most important day, STEM Productions is the right choice. Prepping entertainment for your wedding guests is quite the daunting process. Steve guides you through the entire process and breaks them all down into simple steps with timelines. You will never get lost working with Steve from STEM Productions. Timmy, who was our MC, made our ceremony quite the memorable one. Not only that, he was fantastic in hyping up our dormant crowd to bring out the wild party-side out of our guests (and ourselves). We had a blast from beginning to end, and its all thanks to the hype in the crowd built by Timmy our MC and DJ Wali. If you hire STEM Productions, make sure you get yourself the photo booth. Our guests loved it so much that they would not stop talking about their experience after the wedding. Danny, who was working in front of our booth during our reception was excellent in explaining the steps to our guests. The guests who took part in the experience walked away with copies of their hilarious photos and URL to print out however many copies they wanted in the future. Overall, I could not say one thing bad about the experience I had working with STEM Productions both during the preparation and during the actual wedding. Thank you STEM Productions for the experience we will never forget. read more

We had the best time at our wedding reception, thanks to STEM. MC Timmy, DJ Wali, and Photo Booth attendant Leslie kept the guests entertained all night long. MC Timmy and DJ Wali catered to all our guests, from speaking some Korean to playing a Baby Shark remix for the kids. Leslie even got up from his dinner early to open the photo booth back up for guests. Most of all, thank you to Steve, who really made planning the reception a breeze. He was very attentive, organized, and kept us on track with multiple follow-up meetings. He was very involved from beginning to end, even if he could not be there. I hope I can attend more STEM events soon! read more

Steve and his team were an absolute dream to work with. Not only did they bring the party to life, but they handled everything like stuff I didn't even know I need help with! Other than the amazing DJ they had, Steve was able to refer us to our officiant and live harpist (swoon) as well. They took care of sound for our entire wedding from ceremony to finish. And let me tell you about the MC they got for us: Sisi was phenomenal. She navigated the entire evening with charm, humor, and just enough authority to keep the timeline on track without feeling rushed. Honestly, she felt like a part of the family by the end of the night, she was also bilingual, and my families were able to have a blast the entire time!! The dance floor was PACKED the whole time with guests from 3 to 60 years old, and I'm still (6 months later) hearing from everyone about how amazing the music and atmosphere was. If you're on the fence about who to hire for your big day, let me save you some time, just book them!!! read more

We have 0 qualms or regrets and if god forbid another marriage is necessary...we'll definitely go with Steve and his team for everything entertainment. As one can imagine, the night was a memorable night for my wife and I as the tying of the proverbial knot. Steve and his team really made everything come together on our wedding day. He has always done video planning meetings with us (never phone) which was a nice touch for us, and added extra meetings as we requested without any charge. He was very flexible for our requests, gave us suggestions to improve experience for the guests, and encouraging us to try things he knew would be crowd pleasers (which they definitely were); he also worked with our venue coordinator to keep optimize the timing of the day schedule. Multiple of our guests said it was one of the most fun weddings they had ever been to and the pacing never allowed it to be boring. He has a warm and kind personality and an infectious enthusiasm for making wedding days come together. read more

Steve Hong and Stem Productions provided absolutely immaculate service as MC and DJ for our wedding. From start to finish, Steve was very thorough getting to know us and gathering details for the Wedding Day. The Stem Productions portal site kept us on track with our schedule with regular reminders and soft deadlines for our wedding tasks (providing music tracks for the DJ, input on visual designs, etc.) On top of that, my wife and I had a big curve ball in our wedding day when we tested positive for COVID-19 one week beforehand. We needed to completely pivot our plans and make the ceremony and reception socially-distanced and safer for our guests. Stem Products were completely flexible and worked around all of our last minute changes. Stem Productions worked very well with our venue and made us feel like they were one cohesive team. Not only that, but Steve gave dynamic input to make our reception more optimal based on how the night was playing out. We had several speeches and performances, and all of them were navigated wonderfully. The team at Stem Productions, and Steve Hong in particular were considerate, thoughtful, and completely professional at all times. We were very lucky to have them as our MC and DJ and they were instrumental in making our wedding day absolutely magical. read more

Highly Recommend! STEM made our dream wedding coming true. My wife and I worked with Steve and STEM Productions for ceremony, cocktail, photobooth, and DJ/reception services. Steve and his entire team were professional, responsive, and exceptional throughout the entire planning process and day-of. MC: Steve performed Master of Ceremony services throughout entire wedding day. Articulate, very funny, and seamlessly transitions between - introductions, first dances, speeches, and dancing. Photobooth pictures: Very high quality and customizable. It was a hit with our guest. DJ/reception: Made sure the dance floor was packed the entire night. Really appreciated how the DJ gauged what kinds of music/songs/energy the guests liked. All our guests of all ages were sore the next day were sore from dancing all night long! read more

Very disappointed with STEM productions. Communication was terrible. I sent an email with details of my wedding and inquiring of their services. The first email was either ignored or missed. I assumed it was the latter so I sent a second email (about a week after the first email). Again, they must not have read the email because they responded with the incorrect wedding date. In the email, I was provided a contact number along with time and date of availability. I called (during their available day/hours) but no one answered so I left a voicemail. Instead of a call back, I received a text message asking if I was available in half an hour. After waiting over an hour for a phone call, I decided to give up on STEM Productions. How can I trust them on my wedding day if I can't trust them to be prompt. In addition to this, the communication was just disappointing. read more

Everyone at Stem Productions were AMAZING!! We had our wedding earlier this summer and one was the first vendors we booked was Stem Productions. We had a few referrals from friends who previously had their wedding with Stem Productions so it was a no brainer when we decided to proceed with them. My husband and I didn't know what goes into the planning process with wedding DJs and we're so glad we had all the help we needed from Steve. He was so patient and understanding and he really was a great help throughout the whole planning process! Our DJ - Wali and MC - Timmy were amazing at the wedding, everyone had so much fun dancing and singing to the songs. We wouldn't change a thing with having Stem Productions at our wedding if we even could. Everyone was so fun to work with and they really played a big part in having our dream wedding. read more

Steve was incredible to work with! He's extremely detail-oriented, which made planning 100% easier for us, and also got us thinking about stuff and logistics we otherwise wouldn't have known to consider. He was great about hopping on the phone to discuss our vision and to give us much-needed advice/input. He even brought extra sound equipment last minute when he realized our venue's setup was not ideal without charging us, which speaks to how accommodating he is. He was a great MC throughout the night matching the tone of each segment and keeping the guests engaged and entertained. His photobooth/prints were personalized to us, which was really cute. We worked with DJ Wali - we didn't get to speak with him beforehand, but he had people dancing all night. We had so much fun during our reception that we ended up extending the party. My husband and I are very happy to have chosen Stem Productions, and would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

Steve and his team were phenomenal during our whole planning process! We booked him because we heard his team DJ at a friend's wedding and knew we had to have him at ours!! Steve responded quickly to all our emails, kept everything super organized, and made the whole process feel very personalized to us. He even took on extra Zoom meetings with us when we were feeling overwhelmed/confused about wedding planning as a whole. The actual day of our wedding was very hectic but Steve got us back on track. The DJ was amazing and so skilled, and the photo booth attendant was efficient and kind throughout the night. At the end of the night we got a little book with all the pictures our guests took and it was so nice to look through while waiting for our photographer to finish editing the professional shots from the night. Steve and his team is the best DJ vendor in the area. I've been to a wedding before that he was a DJ at and used him at my own wedding in June 2023. He's super responsive throughout the entire planning process, will offer options to consider based on what we said we wanted, and will take all of your wants and requests in mind to create the atmosphere you were going for. Steve and Wali at Stem Productions are the best!! We were at first debating whether we needed an mc & dj at our wedding reception since we had a small restaurant venue and we figured we could just create our playlist. But after our initial consultation with Steve, we quickly realized how much we would benefit from having an experienced MC who can make sure everything went smoothly the night of the event -- and it did!! Steve & his team were fantastic! It can really overwhelming to make sure that you create a playlist for the wedding that caters to all of your guests. Steve is extremely meticulous and guides you throughout the entire process of selecting music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and even mealtime. He creates a timeline for you with deadlines to build your playlist little by little. Whenever we had a question, Steve responded really quickly. The planning process was really easy while working with Steve. On the day of the wedding, Steve and his team were punctual and set up all of the equipment. Steve MCed the entire night and made sure that we were on schedule. He made sure that all of the transitions were smooth. There wasn't an awkward moment. The DJ used all of our suggestions to have our guests dancing all night long. The flow and order of the songs were incredible. They played all genres of music and they had me (the bride) on the dance floor ALL night long. I just couldn't sit down because EVERY SINGLE SONG was on point. The photo-booth station was well-managed and had so many props to choose from. Someone was there at all times to make sure all of the prints were printed or sent to our guests via text message. Working with Stem Productions was seriously one of the best decisions we made for our big day. Steve met with us multiple times leading up to the wedding to help create a ceremony/reception schedule and curate playlists to fit the mood of each event (i.e. guests arriving, cocktail hour, eating, dancing). His website and planning process also made it so easy and stress-free. Everything was exactly how I had imagined it on the day of! We had a Sunday night wedding so we weren't expecting our guests to stay the whole reception but the music had everyone out on the dance floor up until the end. Even our grandmothers (who told us repeatedly that they weren't going to dance) joined in! After the wedding was long over, so many guests told us how great the music was. It truly was a highlight of the night! I would definitely recommend Stem Productions. read more

Our wedding was beautiful, but what made the wedding feel perfect was the reception where Steve and his team took the lead in setting up the vibe throughout the evening. Steve and his team did a great job bringing the energy for our guests! STEM provided DJ/Emcee services at my sister's wedding so we knew the quality of service his team would be able to provide. He was so easy to work with, very organized and outlined tasks leading up to the wedding in a timely manner. This was super helpful for a Type A bride like myself! We knew we needed Stem Productions for our own wedding. Steve's thorough and thoughtful consultation calls were very productive and he got to know us personally beyond our taste in music. From the ceremony to the last dance, Steve and his team covered every detail and did not miss a beat. During the reception, he worked closely with our maitre d' to ensure the night went smoothly. We had such a great experience with Steve and his team at Stem Productions. Steve was so organized from the beginning consultation. Being an organized person myself, it made me feel confident in Steve when he came so prepared. He was also very easy going as a person and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. He's easy to get in touch with despite being in NJ and me being in NY. He was on top of responding to emails and text messages. I had DJ Wali and Tim as the photo booth attendant. My husband and I had a great time with the music selections by DJ Wali. We were beyond impressed. Tim was also very nice and helpful to our guests with managing the photo booth. It's not an easy job when the music is blasting and people don't know how to work the photo booth but Tim was so patient and made all our guests feel welcomed to the booth.
