I still remember when I first went to Stelth, I was nervous about playing music. I wasn't sure if Piano is for me or if I can ever play anything. Stelth is very patient, breaks down learning material into conquerable chunks and coaches you to ace it. He almost always went over the class time and made sure I was having fun along my musical path. I am glad I found Stelth when I was searching for piano teachers! If you are on the fence about beginning your musical journey and/or choosing Stelth for helping you in this path, I would encourage you to take a leap. I run the only Private Downtown Toronto Music Studio that teaches both piano and violin (and theory!) to children and adults, starting from absolute beginner with no musical experience to ARCT Performer's Diploma level of the Royal Conservatory of Music. My downtown studio stands out from competitors as I offer all three highly demanded music lessons in ONE location: piano, violin, and theory with over 15 years of teaching experience. Unlike a typical music school, students and clients study directly with me, and learn/deal personally with me so that I am fully invested in their progress. Previous students of mine have won competitions, completed the highest level of Royal Conservatory Exams and received their ARCT Diplomas as well, and also gone on to Major in Music at University. Siblings/Parents waiting for students during their lessons enjoy Free Wi-Fi and HD Entertainment with Wireless Noise-Isolating Headphones, including Netflix, Disney Plus, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Prime, and Free Movies of their choice! Lessons are available in English, French, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Meet the Manager: Stelth N.

Stelth Ng is the owner and principal teacher of this business. He was inspired to start this business after 15+ years of private teaching and seeing children grow in their musical studies - several former students of which have gone on to major in University of Music Performance (University of Toronto & Boston University). Stelth is uniquely qualified because he is one of few musicians who completed a double major, and received both his Piano & Violin ARCT Performance Diplomas - the highest level of The Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto with a "First Class Honours with Distinction" standing. Stelth loves to meet new professionals, see children grow every week, and help improve their technique & musical knowledge. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Stelth has appeared as a guest and been interviewed on CBC Radio One 91.5 FM, Toronto Star, University of Toronto Magazine, University of Ottawa Gazette, Chautauquan Daily, University Health Network, TEDxUW and The Globe & Mail.

Sure they're nice but they're terrible at fixing guitars. They were able to give my Ibanez a…read morestandard setup and replace one of the pickups no problem but when I brought my bass in, they did basically nothing to fix it. I asked them to see if they could fix the buzzing that was happening every time I played it and fix both of the knobs which would just spin around and do nothing. When I got it back the buzz was almost worse and one of the knobs completely just screwed off (wasn't doing that before) would not recommend this place if you're wanting more than just a set up. Waste of $120.

Stelth is a highly skilled violinist and a great teacher. I've been learning with him for about 1 year now. I'm currently 13 and playing at a 8-9 RCM Level. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher. He works with the student towards achieving the highest level of playing possible, considering the level that each individual is at, looking at the technical and musical issues that an individual has, and addressing them accordingly. He enjoys the occasional conversation and jokes at the right time. But during lessons, he is fully engaged and gives 100% of his attention and energy to his students. In return, he expects hard work, dedication, and focus from his students. He is open to listening (and reconsidering his approach) to how the student feels about something from an important exam or audition, to something as simple as a bowing or fingering recommendation. At the end of the lesson, he often offers additional material as necessary that he sends you through email for you to take a look at from home. Would definitely recommend! read more
