A few times the scheduler has messed up the schedule and are never willing to fix the situation. Sometimes they even mess up in the reason for a doctor visit. In the past two years my wife has needed to go into a Rehab enter. The first time was two years ago…read moreafter she had back Surgery. They put her in a facility near where we lived. The facility was nice and seemed to be well equipped but seriously understaffed. It often took a half hour to an hour for an aid or nurse to respond to her call requests. Facility okay, staffing an issue. This time she after having fallen many times in our unit she was hospitalized, They decided to send her to a Rehab Center in Anne Arundel County. This place, though highly rated by Medicare was awful. It was a rather dingy facility in which you were immediately overwhelmed by the smell of urine and feces! It also took an hour or longer for anyone to respond to her calls, often she was told just to "go in your diaper" until we have time for you! The PT/OT facilities were bare-boned and she received barely more than 20 minutes of one or the other during weekdays. And on one of those days they had a group session instead of individual treatment where none of her Rehab needs were addressed! This place was so awful I found myself crying to myself, feeling guilty that she had to stay in this disgusting facility! I fought for and finally received the OK to transfer her to Lorien, Elkridge! I can only describe it as like going from the worst Motel 6 in the world to the Carlton-Ritz! Lorien Elkridge in a very welcoming, clean, well-equipped facility. And the staff, including the those working the front desk, are very welcoming, responsive, kind and caring!! She rarely waits more than 5 to10 minutes when she request assistance. They seem to be eager to get whatever she needs and often do the same for me. The nurse in charge, is on the ball and is willing to put up with my inquires of her medical treatment and requests from me to obtain specific treatments and/or mess (I will admit that my career with the FDA as an expert in both Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals does give me an unique knowledge base.) She gets OT and PT every weekday, often for as long as an hour each! I can't rave enough about this facility and its staff. If you live near Elkridge you definitely would want to send your loved one her if they need rehab. Heck, even if you don't live near here, I would still recommend you check this facility out.

I was transferred to Autumn Lake Healthcare 313 Hospital Drive Glen Burnie Maryland for…read morerehabilitation and when I enter in the door I seen first hand the place was dirty and when I went pass the cafeteria it was very overwhelming crowded and the place was hot and I had a hard time breathing,the patients were walking in the hallway like they were lost, when we were told what room I was going to I noticed the bed was unmade and the bed looked like it was 10 years old with no railings and they knew ahead of time that I was a fall risk and the room was small and had another patient in there,there was a small broken cabinet next to the bed,we waited for someone to greet us but they never did so transportation left me on the bed when I try to adjust the bed it was broken but when I try to adjust myself I lost balance and fell out of bed,I looked for a call bell but there was none so I was on the ground for a while before 2 guys came in and picked me up like I was a bag of potatoes and threw me in the bed,then they came back in and try to force a tarp under me and I told them to leave me alone but they continued to force this tarp under me and I started to yell for help and they closed the door and grabbed my arms and started to punch me in the face and chest and then they got 2 nurses to hold my legs down,at that time I ask them to call 911 and shortly after the police and ambulance came and I made a police report and the ambulance took me to the Hospital where I stayed for more then a month, where they are trying to control the pain ,I stayed at a level 8 out of 10, physical therapy is having a hard time working with me because I can hardly move and I am in a wheelchair because I'm weak at base line and I don't think I will be able to use my wheelchair,so a guy name Calvin came to talk to me and took a report and I told him about my belongings and he said he will look for them and when he came back he had a small portion and he said he will go back and look for more of my stuff and he came back but the next day I looked at my stuff and notice that my clothes and a few personal stuff was still missing and he said he will look for the rest and told me if he can't find them that he will make things right but he never came back,he also called my ex-wife and she also told him about my missing belongings,she was an emergency contact and should have never been called, Calvin told me that the story of what happen was different from what I told him and his employees of course it will be different they want to keep there jobs and not be charged with an assault , Calvin called me and told me we should go are separate way but that's not going to happen, when I get better I will be making additional charges and will be calling the state of Maryland to report the abuse and to have them investigated,the Hospital is ready to discharge me and Autumn Lake Healthcare refused to take me back so I been beat up and had my stuff stolen and now there making me homeless what else can they do to me,I'm not saying this because I want some kind of settlement because I'm not that kind of person,I just want people to know about them,so please stay clear of this place no one should ever have to go through this, mentally and physically they hurt me.

I have never had so much individual attention as I have received at Synergy in Motion. I am a runner and unfortunately I experienced a nagging hip injury which has set me back. However, today I ran 19 miles (preparing for a marathon) and this would not have been possible without Synergy in Motion. Other places tend to show you exercises and then go onto to the next person while you do your repetitions alone. But the staff at Synergy in Motion stays with you and makes sure you are doing the exercises correctly, offering suggestions which help you do the exercise more efficiently. Also, they email you videos of the exercises so that you can make sure you do them correctly at home. They are personable, fun, respectful, knowledgeable and professional. Highly recommended!
