My husband was a 6 week client and he received outstanding care from the whole staff. The Chesapeake has a caring climate for everyone and the staff shows Kindness and Competence. People were friendly and they smiled spontaneously ! My husband found his Doctor, the Nurses, PT and OT to be excellent. My 93 year old mother went here for rehab following a heart failure exacerbation. Her doctor wanted her to build up her strength before going home. It was a full 5 days before they did any PT. The staff were all very nice to her. Mom hated the food but she can be picky. It didn't look bad to me. Each bed had their own TV but somehow, moms roommates remote controlled her TV. So it went on & off & changed channels at her roommates discretion. That pissed off my mom. After finally starting physical therapy, they didn't teach my mom much. Maybe 10 minutes a day of minor exercise. Mom said she could do that at home and signed herself out against medical advice. Lol. I'd tell you to stay away, but as a former EMT, I've seen worse nursing homes. read more

My father stayed here in 2025 after a fall and collapsed lung. We chose it because it was close to his home and years prior he had heard good things. TERRIBLE. Staff made it obvious they do not care. Never even faked a smile when I came in. My father would call for a depend change and still no one would come for over an hour. That was after I called to see where someone was. Even then sometimes it took more than one call. They barely got him up for rehab and not one time did he ever go into the bathroom that was at the facility. He didn't trust if he tried and something happened that he would not be stuck in there for hours. We took him out earlier that they recommended(what Medicare would cover)just to get him home. We needed 24/7 help at first because he actually needed help to care for himself (luckily he could afford this), get out of bed, go to the bathroom, all of it! My father passed away this year and it's taken this long to write a review because it's been a roller coaster. Unfortunately, there aren't alot of great places out there for rehab which is despicable and sad. But this place will always remind me where I do not want to go. The PT people at the place were very nice to my father and I just wish he got more time with them for what he needed. Other than the little bit of time with them I doubt he had many friendly faces(I did go there every day). One day there was one nice, respectful girl and I almost cried. I never ran into her again. The whole situation sucks but this place sucks more. read more

I took my 87 yr. old mom there after her total hip replacement. They crossed her legs to get her out of the car and into the wheelchair. I told them not to do that. When we got to the very small room with no recliner, just a bed and small upright chair, the RN crossed her legs again. She was rough with my mom and then left her in the wheelchair with no brakes on. The number or staff was insufficient. The PCT had 8 patients with all their call lights on- she was stressed of course. It didn't help that the a/c was working poorly. No walker was allowed until evaluated by PT. PT was gone for the weekend. Only the nursing supervisor and PCT had a name tag on so I never knew who the care providers were. We stayed 1 hour and I withdrew her from there. I would not put my dog in there. Do not use Future Care if you value the health and care of your loved one. read more

This is a wonderful facility with a very caring staff. I recommend it highly. The company continually reinvests in the facility and the staff is absolutely the best in Anne Arundel County and among the tops in the state. read more

This place has the absolute worst management. I have to say it's a management issues because who is it that's in charge of holding the employees to standards? The overturn on their staff is like a rotating door. I have to micro manage every detail of my fathers care. Even down to a shower. I wouldn't recommend anyone to this facility. The only thing they have to offer is a very nice dining area. I know this line of work is very hard...but wow. My dad is young and still able to help himself a lot. And he's able to communicate to me what is going on. My heart breaks for all the other people at Future Care Chesapeake that do not have a voice in their care. Unless you can spend everyday with your loved one, DO NOT PICK THIS PLACE!! They will keep you in bed as long as they can, send you to doctor appointments without the needed equipment for the patient to be able to participate in the visit (even use the bathroom), rooms are dirty, aides are absent on their shifts (real life hide and seek game), complaints to management are a joke, medication checked off as distributed...but it wasn't, feces left on his butt because no one will come assist in the restroom when the help cord is pulled, no shower in 2 weeks, feces left on shoes and leg brace after a bathroom accident.....this is just a handful of things I can think of that we've encountered in the past few months. MONTHS NOT YEARS. Accidents happen but if this many "accidents" is happening in a few months, imagine what happens over the years of your loved ones elderly care. Very sad. Very unhealthy environment for elderly care unless your loved one is fully active and able to communicate fully....and in that case, how much care do you really need. I'm currently looking for a better facility. Praying we find a place of integrity. read more

I never thought that at 71 years old I would be able to go up and down a flight of steps on one leg! Christmas 2017, I broke my femur. Dec. 26, I had surgery . Dec 28 I was transported to Future Care Chesapeake in Arnold, MD. The physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy at FCC is super. One day a patient arrives a with head down, body weak, being rolled in a wheelchair, and within days the same patient is independently rolling himself down the hall, smiling and greeting people along the way. I was at FCC until 02/18. The transformation from bed bound, bed pan and totally dependent to totally independent was a goal I never thought I could attain half way through my rehab. The Therapy Director wrote a extensive progress report to my doctor and he changed my restrictions to allow me to become totally able to go home. My progress in therapy was completely unexpected but at FCC they achieve miracles everyday. I don't know how they do it, but everyday in the gym I never saw a therapist who wasn't enthusiastic, creative, encouraging and supportive. They listen intently to the patient and help them with their individual needs. They push you to excel with kindness and empathy. Patients support each other because we know how hard it is to take the first step or stand for the first time. The gym at FCC feels like a social club, The atmosphere is light, friendly and inviting. I looked forward to being there everyday. I still have two knee replacements to look forward to but I don't worry about that at all. FCC therapist have prepared me with whatever I need to succeed. By the end of 2018 I will be wheelchair and walker free. Thank you FCC Rehab, I owe you the quality of my life. read more
