I went back the next morning and arrived at 9:36 am, waiting in the drive-thru until they opened at 10:00. When I finally got to the window, I was told only one prescription was ready and the others would take another hour. I waited in the parking lot, received a text that my medications were ready, but when I pulled back up they still weren't. The pharmacist then told me AGAIN to wait another hour. When I explained that I had already been waiting and that this was unacceptable, she told me to come inside. I physically could not walk inside because my knee has a large cyst, is severely swollen, and I've been in pain all night--this is exactly why I was in the ER to begin with. The complete lack of understanding and compassion, along with the poor customer service, was beyond frustrating. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a pharmacy, and I will never use this Walgreens again.

I was acknowledged by a very helpful employee in the Pharmacy department who was able to quickly access my prescription records from my Walgreens account in the MidWest. My prescription was refilled within 45 minutes, and I was notified through an email that Walgreens sends out when a prescription is ready. I made the 25-minute drive to this Walgreens in Elizabeth City and was greeted by 2 very nice and helpful female employees in the Pharmacy Department who had my prescription packaged and ready for me.
