Dr Popova was my primary and unfortunately I switched only because I was unhappy with my medical group, nothing to do with Dr herself. I used to think primary physician could be anyone because really they are just assessing what specialist to send you to, after switching I realize how great this Dr and office were. She does not rush you and she has a portal where you can review your labs and appointment notes, you can even message her on portal and she is so quick at responding. I had no issues with front desk they seemed on top of everything and I personally had very little wait time for my appointment. Going to call my insurance and see what other medical group I can switch to in order to further get care from her. Trust me one of the better options for a primary in the area. read more

The quality of care here is five star. Her reputation is fantastic and she delivers. I can't say enough great things about Dr Stella read more

This office is a nightmare. Stay away. A person at the frontdesk, apparently doctor's husband, was extremely rude and lied through the teeth talking to me. Will file a grievance with Medical Board of California. read more

WOW. I didn't even get my first appoinment on the books and I'm already writing a bad review. I had to change my insurance and therefore was forced to get all new doctors. This woman was listed on the front of my card as my primary. I have several prescriptions that I need to have filled immediately so I called her office to try to get an emergency appt just to have my perscriptions filled ASAP. The woman who answered the phone couldnt have been ruder. She behaved as if she was doing me a favr just by taking my call. She would not help me to get an emergency appt and even said "why should I?" my response was "HIPPA and Do no harm." to which said said "you're not even her patient" Well, guess what... She's right about that, I won't be going to this doctor EVER and now they've got yet ANOTHER 1 star review. I see they have MANY people complaining of the same thing. rude rude rudeness. read more

Amazing. I am very blessed to have found such a wonderful doctor and practice. Most doctors these days operate like factories, this is a very special place where each patient feels fully listened to and cared for. (Side note, staff never bruise when having to draw blood!) read more

I have never experience such rudeness and unprofessionalism as I have at this doctors office with the front desk staff. The front desk woman that answered the phone refused to help with my request and got frustrated with with my question and abruptly hung up the phone on me. They were my primary care physician and I'm honestly shocked that this is how they would treat a new patient. I would never recommend anyone ever go to this doctor. Stay away read more

Very caring and professional. Spent a lot of time with me going over bloodwork and results.

I wanted to make an appointment, but the office was unfriendly and rude, instead of helping, the woman became rude, mockingly, which discouraged me from getting involved with this place.Good luck read more

This is the worst medical office that you can go or have your loved one's go to. The staff is rude and disrespectful to their patients.

Doctor is very good! Service is really good. Very nice , caring , professional! Always ready to help ! If they don't have time now , they always will reach back to you with the solution! Thank you so much for being here for us ! read more

I am appalled at the behavior of the staff at the office. There is a dental spa located nearby so I was confused as to where the office was because they are not labeled. I asked a Russian man who works for the building for directions and he called me stupid and then said go smoke crack. I have been experiencing a head injury due to a car accident when I was in icu for days and have lost my short term memory which is why I was going to Stella for a referral for more neurological testing. I told the front office and they lied about knowing who the man who verbally assaulted me was as he was in the building earlier. Please don't come here especially if you are a woman. Conditions are unsafe and the office management has now concern for the safety of their patients. read more

It's not easy switching insurance and finding a new doctor, but I got very lucky when I found Dr Popova through my insurance several years ago. Dr Popova listens intently to all of your health concerns and thoughtfully discusses a path forward. She is comprehensive with evaluating health issues annually, as well as very quick to respond to any illnesses or injuries that may happen throughout the year. And for someone who has to travel frequently for work, she has been very accommodating with tele-medicine so I am always covered. I am very grateful to be in her care. read more

I've been going to Dr. Stella Popova's medical office for a very long time. She's been my primary doctor for the past 10 years. I am very pleased with an extraordinary service and attention provided to me by Dr. Stella Popova and her staff. Her staff is very knowledgeable and provides a pleasant experience. I am always pleased with Dr. Popova's knowledgeable and professional take on my issues, during a flu season or other times, when I seek a medical attention. I am definitely not going to see anyone else, except Dr. Stella Popova and would like to personally thank her for her superb service and care that is provided to me in the time of need. I am a medical professional myself, so my standards are very high when it comes to my well-being.... there are is no room for average! Dr Stella Popova is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, carrying and very passionate about her patients! Dr Popova spends her time one on one with her patients, she practices proactive and preventative medicine! One of her unique approaches is the blend between traditional medicine and natural approach when ever its appropriate! I am in much better health today then 5 years ago. WORST DOCTOR EXPERIENCE EVER! DO NOT VISIT THIS CLINIC. I'm utterly SHOCKED how they are allowed to be in business. The doctor was EATING on the patient bed when I entered the room. I told one of my friends who is a MD as well and she was very shocked by this too. I was ignored by the receptionist. And when she finally acknowledged my presence, she was extremely rude. I could barley understand her English and when I asked politely for her to repeat herself she got angry. I've never been so uncomfortable going to a doctors office or any office for that matter. I would not recommend this place. read more

I'm happy having such great PCP. I do recommend this doctor. I needed to see a specialist ASAP and called to the office in the morning. If Dr. Popova wants patients she should replace her receptionist. Making my first appointment was a struggle. I immediately realized all the other reviews I had read about her weren't joking. She makes the people at the DMV seem like Santa Claus. She was deadpan, unhelpful, and hard to understand. The only thing she was clear on was : Cash or check. No credit card. I had to ask her to repeat herself and realized she was telling me that the next appointment was nearly 3 weeks out. Geez, ok...I took it. I arrived at my appointment to a semi dingy waiting room & a sour faced woman. I had a picture of my insurance card on my phone. The receptionist could not accept that. "Can I email it to you?" "No, only fax." ... after trying to troubleshoot what could be done it became apparent that I could not see the Dr that day without it. The receptionist kept saying I could be liable for a $150 bill if my insurance was not accepted. I didn't understand. Why would I not be in network and be charged if the only reason I was here is because my insurance said to come here? I even brought the letter reflecting this - yet, she continued to note this possible charge. Confusing as hell. So I left with an appointment set for the following week except I couldn't get this awful experience out of my head so I called and canceled. Again, talking to that woman for the 45 seconds it took to cancel was frustrating. I almost wanted her to ask me why I was canceling = "You. You are why." Don't waste your time. There's plenty of other Dr's in LA with nicer receptionists. read more

When it comes to visiting a doctor and their office I only look for cleanliness, friendliness, approachable, knowledgable and efficiency. I'm not picky like most, this is all a doctor and their staff needs to really have. Dr Popova and her staff got 3/5 but not being that knowledge or that efficient isn't something they can drop the ball on. Even though there's a receptionist the doctor spent a lot of my time inputting info into her laptop (even with these questions answered before hand on paper), no one was sure which urine cup to use for the test and the bathroom was outside and up stairs. The last straw was the nurse trying to be on the phone while taking my blood. They were all nice & friendly, but these things are hard to look past. read more

Doctor Popova is great! I've been coming to her clinic for a few years now and have always been accomodated so quickly and efficiently! I definitely recommend her and her staff who are extremely professional and friendly! read more

Along the same lines as the other reviews, the office staff is horrible. I will not go back here. I had an appointment as a new patient and when I get there, her secretary refused to verify my insurance because she didn't have time for me, and told me I need to reschedule. There is nothing wrong with my insurance, she was just being bad at her job. Find an office with a staff that actually cares, not this poor excuse for an office. read more

I DREADED coming here when I was sick. It's a shame because Stella herself is very friendly, but THE STAFF was rude and disrespectful. Every time I called to refill my allergy prescription, the receptionist had only one answer for me. I don't think she listened to a thing I said. ALWAYS "you need to make an appointment"... for ALLEGRA??? ok, fine .. can I schedule an appointment.. "who is this" ??? what? Lady...weren't you LISTENING.. I call ONCE A MONTH AND I told you 2x's already. Seriously! It got to the point that I'd rather sneeze and have watery itchy eyes than call or show up there again. read more

Dr. Popova was my doctor when she practiced in Los Altos, CA and I wish she had never moved to Southern California. She cares about her patients and she is brilliant at coming up with the perfect solution to symptoms and ailments. Additionally, she is very kind and speaks fluent Russian and English. I check the Internet from time to time to see if she has ever decided to move her practice back to the Bay Area. I cannot believe that a Yelper would rate this wonderful doctor based on her STAFF. This is precisely how a Yelp review can hurt a great professional person or business. read more

I've been to Dr. Popova now three times, and I love her, she and her office were great for me. I'm a little surprised, actually, to have read some comments about the receptionist as, for me, I had no problem at all with understanding the receptionist or the nurse there. I understood them both perfectly (and I'm from Nebraska). They were extremely nice and efficient, as a matter of fact, and I've also had to speak to the receptionist several times both on the phone and in person. I know some people just complain about anything, but I've actually found it easy to recommended Dr. Popova already to a few friends. So it's worked for me. read more

I feel bad giving one star because Dr Popova is very nice and seems knowledgable enough. The biggest down fall is her receptionist. She is RUDE and INCOMPETENT. A lethal combination. It is IMPOSSIBLE to schedule an appointment there! Besides being rude and incompetent, the receptionist speaks very little english and is impossible to understand. I called around January to make an appointment and the woman told me that the Dr was out on vacation and that I should call back in two weeks when she returned. Cant I just make an appt now? I asked. She said no, I had to wait for the dr to return... Um okay. Sure enough I call back in two weeks and they are booked solid for the next 6 weeks. Nice going lady. So when I finally show up for my visit the receptionist gave me a hard time about my insurance card even though I'd been to their office multiple times and NONE of my info had changed. She was basically accusing me of trying to commit insurance fraud in front of a waiting room full of people. She was yelling at me "IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO COME WITH ACCURATE INFORMATION" "The info is accurate..." I would respond. "No. You must give me accurate information!!" So. I asked her to call the insurance co to verify that I was the real patient. She refused, saying she was too busy to call until after lunch (4 hours away). Oh okay. In order to see Dr Popova I had to call the insurance co myself and hold my cell phone up to the woman's face so that they could verify that I wasnt trying to sneak my way into a check up at their office. RIDICULOUS. And let me tell you something lady... if I was trying to commit insurance fraud I'd definitely do it at a nicer place than this. The waiting room and exam rooms were dirty and messy. Horrible. Looking for a new doctor now... read more

Horrible customer service!!!! I spent couple of hours looking up in my insurance network right primary care doctor for me. Decided to try Dr. Popova! It was Such a waste of time! I called 8 times today to make an appointment. First i was placed on hold then someone picked up the line and said "call please in 5-10 minutes I'm with a patient", i don't want to mention ability to speak proper English..whatever, I don't mind , but... I called back. She asked me to look up something on my insurance card, and when i asked "what exactly am I looking for?" she said "I don't know what are you looking for" ... C'mon!!!! Ridiculous! Are we from another planets or something? It took me a while to actually make her understand and repeat her question. Anyways, there were nothing like what she was asking about on my card, so she said that will check it for me. took all my info, ID #, etc. and promised to call me back. I've waited for 2 hours and called back. After she heard that it's me calling i think she pretended that there were connection problems, coz she said hello and then were just silent! I hang up and called back...4 times... it went straight to v/m! Is it really that hard to make an appointment with Dr. Popov!? Receptionist did call me back in a couple of hours after I've already posted this review in here, so I came back to edit it now. but in any case... i don't think that I'll move forward with scheduling one. Good luck! P.S. This is officially my biggest post here on yelp! read more

According to my health coverage Dr STELLA is highly recommended. Upon reading the reviews about the doctor and her skill set they are consistent with past patients opinions. Unfortunately, like most of the reviews, the Dr has a receptionist problem. I was just screamed at on the phone. I was told she would only accept faxes of insurnace cards. The receptionist when on to say "I don't have email. Excuse me. I don't have email. I work in medical field...". It's 2018 Dr, surely you can accept a scanned pdf file forwarded from my health care provider because contrary to what your immensely rude receptionist says, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you do have email. Maybe start to see the writing on the wall Doc. Reviews are big these days and the list of doctors we get from our health care provider are extensive. Maybe throw away the fax machine as well as the attitude that answers your phone. read more
