Everyone in the office is friendly and kind. Dr Steliotes is calming and explains procedures well.

I went for the first time to Steliotes dental. I was greeted by a very nice women who asked me to fill out you know the regular forms when you go to the doctors or the dentist office. The one who did my treatment was so wonderful. She explained everything, she took her time. She kept checking in on me to make sure that I was OK. she was just wonderful. I felt comfortable and safe the entire time. It was a very comfortable experience. The only suggestion that I have is that the woman that check me out was a tad grumpy. I couldn't get her to smile for the life of me. She was not unpleasant, she was just distant. All the other people were so nice, that when I got to her, it was kind of uncomfortable. I refuse to look for another Dentist! I drive 40 minutes just to go here because I love everyone who works here. Dr. Ted is an amazing Dentist who treats his staff incredibly well and it shows. I have never had a bad experience here. I have a couple sensitive teeth and no matter which technician I get, they are sure to take extreme care in making my experience as pain free as possible. I like the dr and the lady in charge of crowns was outstanding. I found the prices to be reasonable. So the reason that I gave them a 3 is that you cannot get in for an appointment. The last time I left after waiting an hour. So they must take others in for emergencies. I called twice with no luck. read more

If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. I lost 1 lower tooth, Dr. Ted insisted that I need a lower bridge and proceeded to rip out 5 additional teeth. The color was really bad and the bridge still doesn't fit after 3 tries. The work was not even preformed by him but one of his hygienist. They are blaming the lab and were going to charge me more if I wanted it corrected. I now have to pay another Dentist to preform the implants that I originally requested. read more

Dr. Steliotes is an amazing dentist and person! When I went through my divorce and lost my dental benefits I was able to get some but that was not covered at his office.... I was HEARTBROKEN. After a few months of seeing another dentist I actually purchased my own dental plan just so I could come back. Buyer Beware....nice atmosphere and perks but not transparent. My husband who has perfect teeth has gone here for years and likes how he gets a hand massage treatment while getting his teeth cleaned. I was in need of a cleaning and no longer worked in downtown Pgh where my dentist was, I decided to give them a try. I went for my cleaning with only wellness benefits because my other dental benefits had a 6-mth waiting period. They thought I might have a cavity so they ordered x-rays. I trusted them to be sure wellness exam covered x-rays...wrong. I went back in for a filling knowing I had to pay for it on my own, I was in pain and my tooth chipped. I saw a outstanding balance on my bill and asked her about it and she said "oh I don't know." They also suggested an acclusal guard because the pressure of my clinching was damaging my teeth. Again, I planned to get one and pay for it myself. A week later I was still in pain from the filling but had the impression for the guard done. I got the guard, still had the outstanding balance...clueless as to why and paid for the guard. I looked over my EOB and talked to my insurance to find out the x-ray was not covered by the wellness insurance. When I called the office to discuss this with the individual on the phone and go over the codes she said she would look into it and get back to me. Well, no call back. I got another bill and then discussed with the Office Manager the whole situation. I felt taken advantage of as they expected me to know what they were billing me and my insurance and what was covered. I know insurance and I knew my insurance. What I didn't know is because I complained something was wrong with my tooth, that part of the exam was not part of the wellness. LOOP HOLE for dr's. I paid my outstanding and told the office manager of my intentions to find a new dentist. Don't complain at your wellness visit...you may be charged...isn't that what a check-up is for...apparently not at Steliotis. read more

Since the age of 7 I have had bad luck with my teeth. Numerous accidents which has lead to an on going plethora of dental issues. Through out the years I have been treated by many dentist some good and a few that did not help me at all! Six years ago I spent the entire summer in server pain, I could not eat, I lost 18 pounds! My dentist, at that time could not diagnosis my problem. Subsequently she FIRED me from her practice! That ended up being the greatest thing that could have happend! My daughter referred me to STELIOTES DENTAL SPA :-)) I got a appointment that day with Dr. Ted Steliotes. The moment I walked into his office I became at ease! It is warm and inviting, with a soft light scent of vanilla candles filling the air and beautiful art works over to admire. The entire office, immaculate! The greeting staff was cheerful and friendly, waiting to meet me like old friends. I soon forgot I was in a dental office!! Did I mention how frightful I am of dental visits? The dental hygienist and assistance are professional and efficient. Always explaining procedures and answer any questions knowledgeably and will do what ever they can to ensure your comfort. Dr. Steliotes is amazing and hits 5 stars on every level!! At my first visit that day he diagnosed my problem within minutes and fixed it right there and then. I was in and out of his office in 45 mins! It turn out to be a cracked molar! No more pain, relief! He worked in my mouth painlessly and with comfort! His ingenuity has inpressed me with the many other problems I presented him with. He is equipped with newest instruments and equipment. He will figure out a way to make "things" better! My daughters 7 and 10 were taken here by a staff member behind my back after being told no that they have a dentist. Members of this practice performed cleanings and cosmetic work on them without parental consent or a parent present. When trying to contact facility and owner to get things resolved and to find out how they treated my daughters without consent, staff and owner were rude, belittling, and talked over me. They had no ethics, perfessionalism, or concerns regarding any possible legal ramifications. Also took pictures of my kids and posted them publicly for marketing purposes. read more
