Instead of simply telling us, she snapped "give it to me" and snatched it out of my hand with a nasty attitude -- as if us checking out was somehow a burden to her. Customer service should NEVER feel like we're inconveniencing the employee. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and made what should've been a simple trip super uncomfortable. Very disappointed!

They were very helpful and personable. They took the time to tell you about the pieces in the store and offered fashion tips. I was really impressed by their level of interaction with the customers. Their customer service was impeccable and it made me feel like I was valued. I think they should be rewarded for excellent customer service. It was more than a shopping experience when I came to this location. If I am in the area I will definitely not think twice about visiting this location. I had a wonderful experience and it was time well spent. I hope their manager is reading this review and recognizes what an asset they are too the company. Denise and Tenecia you rock!!

I frequent this location often and just kept my mouth shut until I had an opportunity to actually speak to someone in charge. I don't know what they use to mop the floors but clearly by the smell the water used was contaminated. Great place to shop!! Lot of great deals in this store. Employees are always very friendly, helpful…read moreand polite. The reason i'm only giving it 3 stars is because of the way the employees are treated. I don't know if it's a corporate rule of just the manager's decision in the Fort Pierce store but employees are not allowed to sit down! This is against the law. Have you ever tried to stand for 8 hours behind a counter?? It's torture on your feet and legs. I know, i had to do it as a teller. Since those prehistoric times companies have been sued for this and LOST. It's very unhealthy. Please, Big Lots, allow your cashiers to sit in a chair behind that counter when there are no customers present. Some miserable Karen may complain but everyone else is more understanding than that. https://blogs.cdc.gov/niosh-science-blog/2014/12/09/standing/ You are breaking the law Big Lots by not allowing their cashiers to sit while not ringing up customers. https://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2012/448.05 Please fix this.

Honestly, if you can't find what you're looking for at this location, it's probably just one of those rare, unlucky days because this store usually has everything. It's about a 30+ minute drive out of my way, but I still make the trip when I really need something. And to make it even better, there's a TJ Maxx right in the same plaza--total double win. You really can't beat having both stores side by side.
