The place is the way a Bavarian restaurant should be. Very friendly, local decor but not kitschy or fake, and it has fresh, delicious and very affordable meals. The kids love it, too. My fiance had the Schweinefilet with Kroketten and green beans with some bacon mixed in. Also amazing. The price was great as well, and did NOT match the portions. I expected less food from the prices, but saw all the plates going past to others tables and knew all the potions were more than adequate. We happily stuffed ourselves! The spätzle were terrible, dried out and weird tasting. The dressing for the salad was some cheap store bought dressing. Seriously, if you are in Garmisch and want German food , do not eat here! The exterior was beautiful and welcoming. I opted to sit outside since it was a nice day, but their inside was very cozy with dark wood and traditional elements. The front patio area was peaceful, shaded and breezy. Plentiful seating. Location is a little outside the main part of town so I drove and parked around the corner. FOOD: Solid, hearty meal. I went for the ribs and throughly enjoyed myself. Really no complaints. SERVICE: Quick and friendly service. It wasn't too busy while I was here so the waiter spent a good amount of time just chatting with me about my trip and things to do in the area. Overall just a great meal in a beautiful location.
