Recently they employed a physiotherapist and a dietitian works from the practice fortnightly. It is a one stop shop for all things health. I have always been able to get an appointment quickly, for example i phoned at 0805 this morning and I was sitting in my doctors office at 0900, now that is service! Of course you pay for what you get. Most appointments are $70 with a rebate from medicare for $35. The friendly receptionists are happy to process your rebate and have it sent directly to your bank account. I have seen a few people get bulk bill appointments, I guess it depends on circumstances. The waiting area is large and comfortable, with a small children's play area and a TV for us grown ups. The waiting room is almost always bursting at the seams but people are seen quickly and if there is a delay you can get a buzzer from the reception desk and go to the shops in the shopping centre. Mostly if they are running late it is only by 15 minutes. I for one am happy to wait because it means that if I am really unwell that I know the doctors will take the time with me and not rush to get on to the next patient. They also open late a couple of nights a week until 7pm for those who need to see a GP after work. Also they are open until 12pm on Saturdays for those who have become unwell over the weekend. If you need a referral to a specialist these GPs are fantastic and know of the best specialist in Brisbane to refer you on to. Parking is free and just out the front of the practice.

Doctors can be reviewed to, okay? And, granted no one wants to think about this kind of doctor too…read moreoften, but for some of us, we frequent their offices more often than a yearly check up. Dr Buttini was my "last straw". After about 18 months of stops and starts on this particular medical issue, I booked an appointment with Dr Buttini and was genuinely surprised at how quickly I was able to see her given her high-level of demand. Within a week of my consult with her, I was undergoing surgery to remedy said medical issue and I couldn't have been in better hands. She's done thousands of this particular procedure, and where other specialists had advised me I'd be in hospital for up to a week, I was home by 2:30pm the same day. Her techniques are innovative and work for you, the patient, to be back on your feet as quickly, and in as little pain, as possible. She is gentle and considerate while being matter of fact and giving you all the information you need. Finding a specialist as "on the ball" as Dr Buttini took me a while, but I'm thankful I did.

She not only considers medical solutions but also more natural options for resolving my health issues which I very much prefer to avoid further side effects that are often inevitable with medications. I have numerous health issues, some of which specialists have not offered any treatment for that she has been able to successfully resolve. She has been my primary care doctor for some 10 years and I can only commend her excellent care. She's an absolute gem of a medical practitioner, and definitely worth the wait if she's running late! I know it's only because she's afforded the last patient all the time they need, just as I also like her to do with me.

She was my back-up physician because my primary physician only works two days per week. Dr Novic now works at Redlands Medical Centre and refuses to continue to treat me, even though I was under her back-up care at Mediwell for approximately 12 months. My primary physician still only works two days per week at a new medical centre in Carindale, so I urgently need a backup doctor who is very familiar with my history. Not only did Dominique Novic refuse to treat me, she chose to relay the message through the practice manager and reception. So, despite having severe, chronic illness, I am now left with no back-up care through a doctor who is familiar with my medical history, with no suggestions from her in regards to continuity of my medical care. This constitutes a gross violation of duty of care and her Hippocratic Oath to do no harm. I have filed a complaint through the relevant regulatory bodies, and I will be posting this review far and wide. P.S: It appears that negative reviews get hidden or deleted on this page, so you have to wonder how many negative reviews are being hidden or deleted. Hence, I was forced to rewrite this review on someone else's comment. It's nice to know that this practice values their patients enough to be interested in patient feedback. What a disgusting way to treat sick, vulnerable people. I will be leaving this review everywhere I can find since it's my legal right to express my opinion about the medical treatment I was refused by a doctor who previously treated me at Mediwell and now works at this medical practice. Shut me down, and I will only get louder and more determined!

Dr Hanson ensured that I tried everything possible before surgery was deemed absolutely necessary. This was much appreciated because surgery was a big experience for me to go through. Loarni Hartley, Dr Hanson's medical secretary, made certain I was always kept in the loop with appointments and with hospital information with kindness and care. I recommend Dr Hanson and Loarni at Complete ENT without hesitation. This was an unusual, stressful and painful medical situation for me to go through. Dr Hanson and Loarni made sure I was kept informed, comfortable and safe throughout.

Kempsie Road Medical Centre offers your basic General Practitioner's service for those unwanted non-emergencies, as well as a nurse on duty to take care of the even smaller things. Dr Satish Prasad is the doctor and he has over 20 years experience practicing as a medical practitioner and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, as the placards over the walls can attest to. Apparently he also speaks fluent Hindi. What I like about Kempsie Road Medical Centre is that it's still a new practice, and therefore has less patients. Appointments are easy to make; I've found I can usually get an appointment on the day I call (rather than waiting for weeks like you do at some places). Oh, and they bulk bill. Perfect for uni students.

He is the go-to man for medical certificates, drunken injuries and scripts for contraception. Whilst there are six other doctors in his practice, none of them seemed to have gained the notoriety that Bingham has, perhaps because he's an old collegiate himself, knows the ways of college life and loves to have a chat about it. Dr Bingham was my doctor until one day I couldn't get in to see him and went to see Dr Dutney instead. I've been with her ever since, partly because I prefer to have a female doctor, but also because she always remembers me, never seems in a hurry and is happy to answer any questions. Despite having moved to the other side of town, I'll keep going back to the St Lucia Family Practice and to Dr Dutney, as the treatment and service is so personalised.

My GP, Dr Murray Bingham, is fantastic - he is considerate, compassionate and boasts a wealth of knowledge - treating everything from a broken foot (if he ever reads this - sorry I never wore the space boot!) to the flu. He often has university medical students training alongside him, who he encourages to come up with a diagnosis. My neighbour, who generally drives me there in time of need, has actually bumped into him during his break, shared a coffee and proceeded to ask how my foot was healing. It's comforting to know that your doctor remembers who you are and genuinely cares for your health and well-being! Important to note: bulk-billing is available.

I once went to a doctor that prescribed me anti-histamines when I had pneumonia. As a result I got asthma, and I've been very cautious about choosing a cheap, bulk-billed doctor. Central Brunswick Centre is not bulk-billed, but it is rebated by Medicare, so your average cost for a consultation is about $30. Ken Koh is very helpful, and when I left the appointment he even called me on his private office line to double check whether or not I'd had certain vaccines. Fiona Bishop is fantastic, and is always on high demand. When I first wanted to come to this clinic she wasn't taking on any new patients, but six months later I somehow managed to weasel my way onto her regular patient's list. She's compassionate, but firm, and made me piss myself when I walked in with a nasty virus and she spent our entire consultation with a face mask on. (I was very contagious.) James Kennedy is a sweetheart and has a lovely Irish accent that will make you forget all of your ails. The nurse is also incredibly kind and considerate. My ears get blocked often so I come here to get them flushed out. Having water flushed into your middle ear isn't exactly pleasant and can leave you feeling nauseous, so the nurse sat and chatted with me while the room stopped spinning. Some important things to note: - You're able to claim most of the bill back through medicare, and the ladies at reception can help you set things up so those returns are paid directly to your account. - There's a pathology clinic down the hall so you can get your tests done in one hit. - If you're catching public transport, this place can be a bit difficult to find.
