They did not seem concerned at all about my problem but what insurance I had. when stated Humana Choice ppo, said they are not accepting any new Medicare plan patients. (tho site did say accepting new patients). They did not offer referrals or any solutions just not accepting. In contrast, I looked up a gyn/oncology in Healthgrade with high rating at Lakeview. They informed me compassionately she only handles after a cancer diagnosis, that I would have to see a regular gyn first, who would refer to after such a diagnosis. she then referred me to a gyn to call. No asking about ins. first. Additionally, I called another primary recommended by my dermatologist since gyn booked til April, and they were extremely helpful and made an appointmen. This whole experience, in my opinion, tells me money, profit more impt. to Dr. Williams than patients. I get that Medicare plans may not be as profitable as private plans, but there are millions of us out here needing quality healthcare and compassionate drs. too.

I saw the door slightly open and saw my daughter's face so I immediately went to help her. I was completely shocked to see that the nurse, or anyone had not helped my daughter to get back to the lobby. She could have easily fallen trying to open the door as she also has ataxia. I spoke to the office manager but there is no excuse. This office is not handicapped accessible nor handicap friendly. I doubt that they care but we will never come back here.

Here is my review: Not only did this clinic's nurses tell me false medical information that was easily debunked online by various highly regarded sources. But I had unnecessary and highly painful procedure done on me by this clinic at 19 years old. They ignored my asking for alternate pain medicine before as I do not respond to general anesthesia. I was highly uncomfortable and in extreme pain during this procedure which was ignored by the doctor and nurses. So much so that my sister who came to hold my hand passed out and (luckily) I blacked out in the middle of the procedure. I regret ever coming here and I believe after the fact that this establish does not have health as it's number one priority. I will be looking for a doctor who cares about my health and is actually able to explain what is going on in my body. The lack of care, expertise, and comfort I experienced was highly concerning. I looked into this for two reasons. We all reach that age where you no longer hold off going to the bathroom as long as you possible can. It got to the point that if I needed to go I better find a restroom sooner rather than later..."oh, am I going to make it?!" One too many close calls makes it very uncomfortable. The second reason was self gratification. Yes I said it, I'm a widow and enjoy an orgasm VERY much. Waited awhile and other lady walked up and said her appt was for 8:30am, no one was there to greet her or I. She called the office and a man answered the phone as hello and totally forgot about work I guess that day. He didn't apologize over the phone only said he was in his way. I had my initial visit with Dr. Payne on 11/13/24. The process to schedule online was quick and…read moreseamless. The check-in process at the time of my appointment went well also. The doctor herself was pretty nice, not overly friendly, but nice enough for me to return just for yearly visits. During this appointment, we discussed regulating my cycle, changing my birth control, and having an ultrasound on the next visit. The next visit came one week later. Again, staff were nice. But, there was no mention of the ultrasound. She just stated that we would be removing the birth control implant. Her lidocaine order was not in; therefore, I was asked to return later that afternoon. I waited in the Mandeville area for hours only to get a text, not a courtesy call, telling me it was still not in and I'd get a call the next week. I followed up with them today as I am having complications. I asked to have a return call from a nurse who I'd actually interacted with at the appointments. That is where the issues came in. The office manager was extremely rude and condescending, interrupting me when I tried to speak. I have never had an issue requesting a call back from a nurse at any other doctor. As an office manager of three FQHCs, I know I do not interrupt patients and I try to accommodate them as best as possible. When patients are frustrated or concerned, that is where I step up to address their concerns and make them feel as best I can about the circumstances. Because of this, I will not be a return patient NOR will I recommend this physician to anyone. I am sure he'll have a snarky response as he has with previous low rated reviews lol. Lack of professionalism at its finest.
