He used high quality materials to make sure the house was smooth and well-sealed before painting. He was very careful with my garden, including hanging a special tarp to keep paint (and feet) off a particularly delicate area. He also took care of a couple areas on the house where previous work done by others was not as water-tight as it should have been. Since he is an artist and designer, I was also able to ask his opinion about which colors would look good where. Neighbors have said "I love it," "it looks beautiful," and "it looks like a whole new house." Thank you, Marco!

And when I take a minute to notice the work, it's outstanding. I always made a mental note that if we ever needed painting, I'd reach out to Harmony. We had our house renovated about 10 yrs ago and the painters obviously took some shortcuts, so we had tons of peeling, etc. on our exterior trim, and the house was looking kind of haggard. We began gathering estimates, and included Harmony. Marco was quick to personally reply and gave us a very competitive quote, but his insistence that he would absolutely do the best job, guaranteed, really came across as genuine. We checked a few references, and he got glowing reviews. Fast forward, we hired him and they did an outstanding job. Unlike other owners, Marco was at the job every day, continuously circling the house, looking at tiny little details (that I would have missed) and being very critical about getting it just right. He went out of his way and epoxied areas where the wood was splitting or rotting. He nailed lots of things - trim, shingles, etc. - to get it just right. None of this was included, but he did it anyway because he's one of those people that is truly bothered if his work isn't just right. He would bring me out, and point out things that he had not yet gotten to, and explain exactly what he was going to do. And then he would do it. I saw him with a hair dryer up on a ladder drying epoxy that he had used to fill in a tiny little hole that I would have never, ever noticed, but that he said "just bothered" him. When you live in a town like Wellesley, many companies love to take advantage, and jack up prices and do a crappy job, assuming that "Wellesley people" can afford it, and are just too busy to really check out the work. That keeps homeowners on edge when hiring companies. But Marco immediately allowed me to relax, because he just owned doing the job perfectly, outright. Period. I would 100% recommend Marco and Harmony for any painting needs.

I called Josh and talked to him about my house that is huge and old; as I told him, I needed to repair the windows before the paint job could be completed. Josh said that he knew a carpenter who could do the windows and would paint the house after the repairs were done. As it turned out, I needed to get 27 windows fixed. So I had a bargain, a good carpenter who was ready to go up three stories to get my windows on the top floor and a painter who was going to paint my three-decker. Eventually, J&J came after all the repairs were completed and painted my house in 10 days. They were extremely efficient, professional, and pleasant to deal with. They answered my concerns by scraping, sanding, and caulking all surfaces. They used primer and good paint. Some of my neighbors came over to Josh to ask him whether he could paint their houses too. There was no drama, no mess. They told me in advance to inform other residents not to use the common area for a day or two. I definitely hope to hire them for inside jobs and recommend them for outside painting.
