I have made it my mission that where ever I visit I will seek out and purchase a book from an indie bookstore. Specifically, woman owned. This shop is cute. It has pink and cozy vibes. Steamy Lit is a cute book store that also has adorable merch and even scented epsom salt. The merch is sweatshirts, t-shirts, caps and totes. The book selection is nice, mostly centered on romance. I saw the variety of romance tropes that romance lovers enjoy. Second chance romance, enemies to lovers, LGBTQ+, sporty romances, etc. The service is cheerful, and helpful. The costs are in-line with what most small bookstores charge. Fair. The con is the parking situation, the tiny parking "lot" in front of the store fit only 3 cars maybe and across the street is a train track that supposedly was ok to park. Follow GPS instructions, the street address is MacDill but it will tell you to turn on Gandy and the shop is right there.

Full disclosure: my friend and I discovered this shop on a day they were having an author signing event, so we didn't get to see it in its full glory because we were trying to not be in the way AND had to get out before the ticketed event started. That being said, this small bookstore has a great selection of both books and some pretty great bookish merch. I picked up my new favorite "Romantasy Reader" hat, a nicely padded book sleeve, and a book that keeps being sold out everywhere I look! The staff was courteous and friendly, checking in those for the event while my friend and I were checking out efficiently and communicating with one another when they ran into a small hiccup with not knowing what one of our merch pieces was called in the computer. The one and only downside I saw was that as we were checking out, someone in a wheelchair came to the store for the event and had a really hard time on the ramp and the door's threshold- she kept sliding down the ramp due to the slickness of it after recent rain (the ramp had no grip tape spots, so could be a slip hazard anyway) and the threshold was so high but porch so small that she needed to get momentum to get over the threshold but didn't have space to do so. While I don't need accessibility yet, it was a good reminder that sometimes it's worth looking at. The parking area around the store was also pretty rocky and difficult for her to navigate, but most of it was the road which would fall under the jurisdiction of the City, not this store, but still, room for improvement is worth noting. Overall, can't wait to revisit this lovely spot on my next trip in town, and hopefully not when it has an event so I can browse a little better and see their "normal" flow.

I'm an avid reader of all things, so when my sister told me about this bookstore, we just had to visit during our weekend trip. This bookstore is cute and cozy, with a nice selection of books, all reasonably priced. Shop also includes adorable accessories and stickers. It's a bit of a hidden gem due to its location but worth the visit.

I got so lucky finding a book release party for the new Onyx Storm book apart of the forth wing series. I had been wanting to visit Steamy Lit since they opened and I finally got my chance. I purchased tickets online for this event they were hosting and waited till the 20th. When the time came I got there and there parking situation was limited so I did have to park a bit away but not terrible. We all waiting in line to check in and was welcomed to the event and received wrist bands. They had dragon themed coloring pages, bracelet making and they also provided some delicious drinks and cupcakes with the book cover on the top. Super cute! While we were all waiting for the book release to drop at 12am We got to play some rounds of bingo and meet other people in the Tampa book community which was nice. The store is super cute and I love the selection of books and merch they had. It was a good time I will definitely be back again:)

The girls who manned the store were incredibly helpful and polite. They had a perfect selection of bookish merch like handmade shirts, hats, stickers, kindle and book sleeves, and even soak salts. Why shop at Amazon when we have this little gem located in Tampa? Worth every penny to support local bookstores!

Such a cute and awesome book store. I seriously love the ambience too. You have to check this place out if you love books. It's amazing!!

The building is beautiful; you pass thru an unusual (in a good way) bookstore, candle pour bar,…read morecoffee bar, tea bar, a gift shop with very unique items, & then into the restaurant. Paintings adorn the walls inside, but you can also dine in the "outside patio" with a glass ceiling overhead & lots of plants around. Our server, Cami, was pleasant & gave us time to peruse the menu. The option of breakfast served all day was a surprise. We decided to try three appetizers: the whipped feta, buttermilk fried chicken & fried Brussel sprouts. A glass of sangria & iced tea for beverages. Everything was delicious & exceeded our expectations. Cami checked on us regularly asking if we'd like to order anything else. Would definitely put the Oxford Exchange at the top of our restaurant list when going across the bridge to Tampa. Already thinking about the French toast for the next visit.

One of my favorite spots in Tampa! It has everything I love all in one. It's a restaurant,…read morebookstore, store, and coffee shop. This is quite popular place especially on the weekends. I made a reservation and glad I did because the walk up list had a bit of a wait. There is street parking as well as paid parking in the lot across the street. When you first walk in you get the bookstore area. They do a bunch of events here as well. The candle making area is also a bar and is directing across from the bookstore. It's worth it check out the bathrooms. It's quite large and very nice in there. Next, is the open and airy space where the coffee and tea shop is. This area is a walk up counter and you don't need a reservation to stop in. The day I went it was quite full. I will add there is an upstairs to this location with a relatively new recording studio and coworking space. Next, is the store where there's a bunch that of hidden gems. The champagne bar is over here as well. My group went for brunch the day we went. I got the avocado toast and the brussel sprouts. As a fan of both, it didn't disappoint. And both were huge and fresh. The table split the ricotta and honey cheese and naan bread. The lemon blueberry pancakes were also a hit. I'm not a big fan on of cake in general but I heard the yellow cake was great. It was the perfect mixture of light and dense and the chocolate icing was to die for. It was the perfect compliment to the cake. There's so much to do here you could easily spend a good couple hours here. It's also a great spot to stop on your way to other fun activities in the area. I highly recommend getting reservations! I can't wait to go back and try some new stuff!

A coffee table book of artworks in Ybor City for my friend who loves the area. In great condition and reasonably priced. Awesome. And then I spotted two science fiction books for me that are going onto my shelves. I also bought a bookplate that was in a display at the counter. Eek, $15. But worth it to customize my gift which the very nice young lady put into a bag with some tissue paper to make "gift". Awesome service. Fabulous stuff and that's just the books. There's also all sorts of other vintage and unique antique items on sale. Definite opportunity for gifts and light decor. [Round number review 15800 overall - 1380 in Florida - 1304 of 2021.]

This past Shop Small Saturday, I visited with 4 other people and her shop was (safely) bustling. I found a record for $1 outside and I did not have any cash - instead of having me use my card for a buck, she gave me the record for free. Check it out and spend some time finding some cool vintage treasures like books, records and furniture.
