What was supposed to be a straightforward job cleaning out dryer ducting turned out to be a several hour affair that I was contacted for three hours into the job. What was going to be up to a $200 bill turned into a $600 bill, and it turns out the issue was that the hose for the dryer was kinked, which should have been what was checked for first. We were not happy with this and paid $300 for the job, which I wish I hadn't even done when I now have to find someone else to finish it, as NW Furnace failed to check their work after replacing the hose and the bi-fold doors do not shut properly, are damaging the units as a result and have caused great inconvenience to my tenants. I trusted you from 1000 km away above other companies, and that was unfortunately a mistake. Instead of wasting everyone's time and delaying this for months, it would have been appreciated if you were honest and advised that you weren't going to go back and do something that would take you probably ten minutes. You live in the neighboring community, so it's not as though you'd be going far out of your way. I want to warn people about the way this company does business. They installed the HVAC in my new…read morebuild home. The Heating Ninja sent a supervisor to look at the deficiency with my HRV that prevented me from servicing it per the manufacturers manual. The heating Nina's supervisor said it was an obvious deficiency and it needed to be fixed. He told me the company would contact me to schedule a crew to fix the deficiency. Two months went by without receiving a follow up from the Heating Ninja. I called the company and the owner refused to accepted responsibility claiming that "the city passed it so I don't have to do anything" he also claimed the fix would cost him a full day of a crew to correct and I had no idea how much that costs. I won't go into his rude and argumentative nature. The heating ninjas owner refused to take responsibility when his supervisor recognized the company made a mistake. The owner prefers to hide behind a city inspection rather than stand behind his company's work. Thankfully the builder hired another HVAC contractor to fix the heating ninjas deficiencies that they refused to take responsibility for. Be warned. The heating ninja isn't a company that stands behind its work.

Had a new heat pump installed last Friday just before a very hot long weekend. My installers were…read moreAbdo and Eller. They were great. Before they started they laid down protective carpet down the stairs to my basement all the way into the furnace room even though I said it wasn't necessary to ensure they didn't track any dirt into the house. The installation went very smoothly and they had the heat pump up and working in no time. Eller did the modification to the furnace in the basement while Abdo installed the heat pump outside despite having to work during what turned out to be a very hot day. I was impressed with his work ethic. Abdo configured my smart thermostat and explained how to operate the heat pump. In addition Abdo replaced the large old and ugly exhaust and air intake pipes from my furnace that were outside with a neater and smaller profile. The old pipes were installed many years ago when I replaced my old furnace with a more efficient one. The pipes were huge and ran several feet up the side of the house. The new pipes are small and inconspicuous. I was very pleased at how much better the whole side of the hose looked and to boot Abdo didn't charge me for the replacement. I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. All in all Abdo and Eller did a very professional and terrific install. I would recommend that if anyone was getting a heat pump or an air conditioner installed from A1 Chesney to ask for Abdo and Eller to do the installation. Five stars for their work.
