Bro what happened to this place!? The Burgers are tiny now! Ordered the onion burger again and its like half the size! Had no condiments and it had a whole meat patty missing! They slandered it in grease no freaking condiments either. Im looking at the original picture when it was introduced and holy crap its night and day! That messed up part is that they cost the same. All these fast food places are self sabotaging themself. Im just going to fill my fridge with meat and make my own burgers from now on. If i had the money i would be running my own establishment cuz right now is the time for it. Go to any long established fast food, you will notice the portions have gone down but the prices either gone up or stayed the same. Crazy strategy. That will back fire. Get a George Forman grill from a thrift store, buy meat and make yourself a bigger burger for peanuts of the cost. read more

Just ate at S&S in Valrico, Fl for 2nd time since covid & the "change" to SELF SERVE I guess you call it. When white haired people come in it would be nice if someone said " Hello, welcome to S&S. And - help them if needed in ordering from the kiosk. Perhaps explain that when ordering a Coke one must scan the QR code or the machine doesn't work. When selecting what they want ON the burger they must deselect what they Don't WANT ON the burger. Very unfriendly and made us upset then mad. Too impersonal. Too bad. We used to eat at S&S almost every Sunday after church before Covid. Won't be back even tho we like their hamburgers. read more

Wow! It was great! great service! the night crew worked flawlessly together, keeping the dining room and bathrooms cleaned up, assisting customers and delivering delicious food. The food was amazing, hot and made to perfection. Great job to all the hard workers here tonight. read more

I was craving a cheeseburger and fries so I found my way into a steak 'n shake. You walk in and you type in your order and pay at a kiosk no human interaction required. Once paid you grab a cup make your drink and find a seat. The only bad thing about the whole experience is I waited 33 minutes for my order and they weren't busy inside but they're drive-through was killing them! I finally had to go and talk to the manager which he was running the grill and directing all his employees on what they needed to do. The employees were not self-motivated by any means and the manager had his hands full. He was very apologetic about my wait. I definitely didn't expect to be waiting 30 odd minutes for a cheeseburger and fries. I will say that it was very hot. But I don't believe I'll be coming back anytime soon. Because they provide consistently pretty bad service from what I've noticed in my past experiences. read more

I ordered my fries SuperSized and they came like this. The amount they put is the same as of a Medium fry. If I wanted a Medium fry then I would ordered medium fries. read more

This is my go-to place for great service, great food and a relaxing moment as my wife and I enjoy a fantastic meal. Always a spotless environment, great music played and a very good place to enjoy a very great burger and other choices. Gave up the 'other' burger establishments due to many things - mostly the generic stamped service and not-so-great burgers - stuffed into a paper wrapper. Steak 'n Shake - the burgers are superb, custom made to your liking - never had a bad one. What more could you want? read more

Not sure why you're not getting at least a 4 star rating. The management's awesome The team's friendly and helpful. They're always smiling the Black manager on the grill is amazing and friendly and makes everybody happy. The team and the customers, I'm sorry, I forgot his name.i think Reggie?? read more

The guy who worked tonight and made the Oreo mint shake and chocolate cookie dough is awesome. The shake is flavorful, thick and perfect.

The service is always slow. The food some times comes out cold. So I meed to go have them correct it.

So are you freaking kidding me? This is how I got a Frisco melt from Steak and Shake on Rt 60, Valrico. They used the heel of the bread and didn't even grill it. Maybe this is one of the reasons this restaurant has been nearly empty the last few times we have been there. read more

0/10 do not recommend. I see other reviews saying the same as what I'm about to... Employee was seen slowly collecting trays inside at 6:45pm on a Sunday and the doors to the lobby were locked. Online ordering still says you can order and pick up inside (it's the only option actually) and the sign's lobby hours said 10am-12am. Not additional signage posted saying the Lobby was closed and the drive thru was to the front of the building. We reluctantly got in the drive thru just to wait a few minutes and go nowhere so we left and headed down to Culver's. read more

Again food was hot and fresh great team, Jojo , was running around crazy running food, cleaning tables, filling supplies. And great Customer Service! An asset to the co and bringing it back ,as there's been issues in past the stars need to be brought up for this store!! Yay read more

Burgers were pretty sweet and crispy, fries were too thin and McDonalds size is better (but still tasted good) and milkshakes were not surprising with the taste. They served pretty fast and the vibe (or music) was nice. read more

This is probably the only Steak 'n Shake location that gets my order wrong every single time I go through the drive thru. I asked for a double steakburger with ketchup, mustard, and pickle only. I even emphasized, "No cheese on the burger." So, what did they give me? They give me a cheeseburger, and every time I end up eating it with the cheese because it's not worth wasting my time to go back and get it made properly. What made this last visit even worse was they over salted the burger. Hey, I like salt but this was as if it was seasoned a second time. It was disappointing because I typically like their burgers, but not at this location. I think the best thing I can say about this visit was that the service was quick, and the burger was hot and fresh. I just had to end the review on a good note. read more

I waited 45 minutes in the DRIVE THRU for two burgers and a cup of chili A normal steak burger and a jalapeño crunch burger But burgers were cold as well as the fries. I have two tiny onions on burger and one pickle, I also asked for extra pickles. On the jalapeño burger it's supposed to have salsa, jalapeños, crunchy onions. I also asked for regular onions on it. There's a few jalapeños and soggy "crunchy" onions Just a horrible experience, there were only 3 cars ahead of me at the time. Just can't believe I waited 45 minutes for soggy cold food, at least the chili was warm enough read more

Having been here on multiple occasions within the past few months, I can safely say that the service has definitely improved. Maybe it was just luck, but the past few times the employees have been super sweet and friendly (compared to others). One time I came extremely late at night and the guy working was very helpful in helping me choose my order. He even waited when I had to call someone to switch an order up, which I understand can be frustrating at times. And tonight, the lady working was super sweet and attentive. She seemed new, but definitely have the customer service aspect down. All around, very impressed in the improvements there. As always, the food is what you would expect from a typical Steak n' Shake. In my opinion, the fries are nothing special (they are free though, so whose complaining), but the shakes are where you get your money's worth. The wait times themselves can get a little excessive e though, especially during peak hours. I had experiences waiting from 5-20 minutes for food, so it really depends on the cooks/time. Overall, if you haven't been recently, I would give this place another try. read more

If i could leave a zero, I would. Avoid at ALL COSTS. Order for pickup? Don't bother, because You'll still wait in the long drive thru line because they're too lazy to open the doors, even though the sign clearly states they should be open. Went out on a father and son day. We both enjoyed our steak burgers and fries. I specifically ordered a Jalapeno Burger which I enjoyed because it had a good kick to it. We arrived a party of 2 adults 1 child at 7:06 there was another party of the same in front of us and a single lady in front of us. 4 more parties behind us NONE of us were greeted or seated till 7:18. There was aproxamently 6 tables full of people eating. There 9 open tables without people. 5 of them were cleaned off. At 7:23 we ordered. Now its 7:36 and waiting for our food. 7:51 we have food but no silverware. 8:14 they finally took our money and were out. It should not take 1HOUR 16 MINUTES to get food at a place like this. This whole time the manager was standing 8n the kitchen and kept peeking out at the cleared, unleaded tables and the long line of people waiting to be seated. He never once came out to help the couple of waitresses that did bother to show up. read more

Total trash can't even have food ready and forgetting my drinks ready not coming here ever again

What a lousy experience. Went through the drive-thru on a Thursday night. Ordered a double cheeseburger combo with a banana shake. Five cars ahead of me in line. I waited thirty minutes for my dinner. When it came, the fries were cold and stale, the burger lukewarm and the shake had a bitter taste to it. No one even apologised for the wait, in fact, she was rude when she brought my food out. I'll NEVER go back again. Lousy food and even worse customer service. What's to like? read more

Just awful. Waited 25 minutes when I was the only person in the drive thru... Food was wrong. Never again

WORST STAFF EVER!!! An employee had told other customers We couldn't eat inside because it was "understaffed" but had customers inside . Very ridiculous and absurd . Very disappointed. Only had 1 person woking inside . And had drive through waiting . The employee didn't even come to the door after we knocked to get their attention. Staff was really bad ,do better . read more

pulled up to the drive through and was told to give them a minute. I spent 20 min waiting asking through the speaker if I could place an order. Drove up to the window to ask if the are taking orders and all they did was walk back and forth without coming to the window. Being understaffed could be understood but to completely ignore a customer is terrible service. Will never return to this place read more

the best fast food ever the food was delicious and my service was great i love it here

Why is my review only two stars is because the wait time here was very long and our order was completely messed up. It took forever to get waited on and served which means the waitress was so far behind in our orders and other customer orders. The floor was soaking wet from spilled drinks instead of cleaning it up the employees decided to put a caution wet floor sign over the spilt drink and it took 30 minutes to get that cleaned up. Other customers besides my family complaining about how sorry the customer service from the waitress and how the orders was really slow and no one got what they ordered. The manager kept blaming how busy it was instead on fixing the issues that existed with the food orders, drinks all over the floor, no employees helping each other to make sure the customers were happy with their food orders. We have been here a few times before and the service was great but today's visit just really sucked with all the staff not helping one another. The manager didn't have a clue on how to fix the issues with the customers not getting their food a lot of people were complaining. My advice is work together with each other and this location will succeed and can do better. read more

This is one of my favorite places for milkshakes made from hard ice cream & topped with whipped cream & cherry. This place has a drive-thru, take out counter, or full service seating (menus) inside. Most of the food here tastes good, but not healthy. The prices are reasonable and the service is fairly quick. The burgers are okay (thin). When I stop here for lunch or dinner, I enjoy getting the Chili Mac (5 Way) over spaghetti, a garden salad, and a thick coffee mocha shake, sooo good. read more

purchased a couple of hamburgers on June 30th from the valrico Florida store on State road 60. When I got home the burgers were so full of grease that the buns was soaked. The bottom of the bag was soaked through. When I got in my car this morning I noticed there was a big stain on my seat from the bottom of the bag. I went to the store and talked to the franchise owner and she basically said that's not her problem. She offered to replace the meals which I did not want I have a new car with a stained seat she said she would not have my seat cleaned I still have the bag full of grease. Typically I have had a long wait at this location. Sometimes 20-30 minutes which is long for a fast food restaurant. That has completely changed. Well I guess the app actually helps these guys here at this location because I can't give them 0 stars! There was only five tables being served and still we waited close to 30 minutes! The waitress still got my order wrong but since all this going on I wasn't going to have them correct it and end up waiting another 30 minutes!!! read more
