Bro what happened to this place!? The Burgers are tiny now! Ordered the onion burger again and its like half the size! Had no condiments and it had a whole meat patty missing! They slandered it in grease no freaking condiments either. Im looking at the original picture when it was introduced and holy crap its night and day! That messed up part is that they cost the same. All these fast food places are self sabotaging themself. Im just going to fill my fridge with meat and make my own burgers from now on. If i had the money i would be running my own establishment cuz right now is the time for it. Go to any long established fast food, you will notice the portions have gone down but the prices either gone up or stayed the same. Crazy strategy. That will back fire. This is my go-to place for great service, great food and a relaxing moment as my wife and I enjoy a fantastic meal. Always a spotless environment, great music played and a very good place to enjoy a very great burger and other choices. Gave up the 'other' burger establishments due to many things - mostly the generic stamped service and not-so-great burgers - stuffed into a paper wrapper. I was craving a cheeseburger and fries so I found my way into a steak 'n shake. You walk in and you type in your order and pay at a kiosk no human interaction required. Once paid you grab a cup make your drink and find a seat. The only bad thing about the whole experience is I waited 33 minutes for my order and they weren't busy inside but they're drive-through was killing them! I finally had to go and talk to the manager which he was running the grill and directing all his employees on what they needed to do. The employees were not self-motivated by any means and the manager had his hands full. He was very apologetic about my wait. I definitely didn't expect to be waiting 30 odd minutes for a cheeseburger and fries. I will say that it was very hot. But I don't believe I'll be coming back anytime soon. 0/10 do not recommend. I see other reviews saying the same as what I'm about to... Employee was seen slowly collecting trays inside at 6:45pm on a Sunday and the doors to the lobby were locked. Online ordering still says you can order and pick up inside (it's the only option actually) and the sign's lobby hours said 10am-12am. Not additional signage posted saying the Lobby was closed and the drive thru was to the front of the building. We reluctantly got in the drive thru just to wait a few minutes and go nowhere so we left and headed down to Culver's. read more

This is probably the only Steak 'n Shake location that gets my order wrong every single time I go through the drive thru. I asked for a double steakburger with ketchup, mustard, and pickle only. I even emphasized, "No cheese on the burger." So, what did they give me? They give me a cheeseburger, and every time I end up eating it with the cheese because it's not worth wasting my time to go back and get it made properly. What made this last visit even worse was they over salted the burger. Hey, I like salt but this was as if it was seasoned a second time. It was disappointing because I typically like their burgers, but not at this location. I have two tiny onions on burger and one pickle, I also asked for extra pickles. On the jalapeño burger it's supposed to have salsa, jalapeños, crunchy onions. I also asked for regular onions on it. If i could leave a zero, I would. Avoid at ALL COSTS. Order for pickup? Don't bother, because You'll still wait in the long drive thru line because they're too lazy to open the doors, even though the sign clearly states they should be open. Having been here on multiple occasions within the past few months, I can safely say that the service has definitely improved. Maybe it was just luck, but the past few times the employees have been super sweet and friendly (compared to others). One time I came extremely late at night and the guy working was very helpful in helping me choose my order. He even waited when I had to call someone to switch an order up, which I understand can be frustrating at times. And tonight, the lady working was super sweet and attentive. She seemed new, but definitely have the customer service aspect down. All around, very impressed in the improvements there. As always, the food is what you would expect from a typical Steak n' Shake. In my opinion, the fries are nothing special (they are free though, so whose complaining), but the shakes are where you get your money's worth. The wait times themselves can get a little excessive e though, especially during peak hours. I had experiences waiting from 5-20 minutes for food, so it really depends on the cooks/time. We arrived a party of 2 adults 1 child at 7:06 there was another party of the same in front of us and a single lady in front of us. 4 more parties behind us NONE of us were greeted or seated till 7:18. Now its 7:36 and waiting for our food. 7:51 we have food but no silverware. 8:14 they finally took our money and were out. It should not take 1HOUR 16 MINUTES to get food at a place like this. This whole time the manager was standing 8n the kitchen and kept peeking out at the cleared, unleaded tables and the long line of people waiting to be seated. What a lousy experience. Went through the drive-thru on a Thursday night. Ordered a double cheeseburger combo with a banana shake. Five cars ahead of me in line. I waited thirty minutes for my dinner. When it came, the fries were cold and stale, the burger lukewarm and the shake had a bitter taste to it. Why is my review only two stars is because the wait time here was very long and our order was completely messed up. It took forever to get waited on and served which means the waitress was so far behind in our orders and other customer orders. The floor was soaking wet from spilled drinks instead of cleaning it up the employees decided to put a caution wet floor sign over the spilt drink and it took 30 minutes to get that cleaned up. Other customers besides my family complaining about how sorry the customer service from the waitress and how the orders was really slow and no one got what they ordered. The manager kept blaming how busy it was instead on fixing the issues that existed with the food orders, drinks all over the floor, no employees helping each other to make sure the customers were happy with their food orders. We have been here a few times before and the service was great but today's visit just really sucked with all the staff not helping one another. The manager didn't have a clue on how to fix the issues with the customers not getting their food a lot of people were complaining. My advice is work together with each other and this location will succeed and can do better. read more

This is one of my favorite places for milkshakes made from hard ice cream & topped with whipped cream & cherry. This place has a drive-thru, take out counter, or full service seating (menus) inside. Most of the food here tastes good, but not healthy. The prices are reasonable and the service is fairly quick.The burgers are okay (thin). When I stop here for lunch or dinner, I enjoy getting the Chili Mac (5 Way) over spaghetti, a garden salad, and a thick coffee mocha shake, sooo good. read more

purchased a couple of hamburgers on June 30th from the valrico Florida store on State road 60. When I got home the burgers were so full of grease that the buns was soaked. The bottom of the bag was soaked through. When I got in my car this morning I noticed there was a big stain on my seat from the bottom of the bag. I went to the store and talked to the franchise owner and she basically said that's not her problem. She offered to replace the meals which I did not want I have a new car with a stained seat she said she would not have my seat cleaned I still have the bag full of grease. I have contacted the corporate office if I do not get help from them I will be taking her to small claims court. read more

Typically I have had a long wait at this location. Sometimes 20-30 minutes which is long for a fast food restaurant. That has completely changed.
