If you're going to this place, make sure you have 5 hours to eat. Very very sow service.

I had the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life at the Moline Steak and Shake. My family of 5 had just gotten out of church, and the restaurant was only 1/3 or so occupied. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone showed up to take our order. Our order was taken, and a glass of water was dropped off about 10 minutes later. A second glass of water was dropped off because another table didn't want it. After we had been sitting for 55 minutes, food started showing up at the table...it didn't look right...I lifted the bun & it was definitely NOT what I had ordered. My wife & kids did the same. I stated that we have been sitting for 55 minutes, and now we don't even get the correct food that we ordered? She took the sandwiches back on the tray (after my whole family handled the food) and started going through the slips of orders hanging on the wall...trying to find out which table the food really belonged to. My guess is that the food got re-delivered to the "right" customers...even after other customers handled it! I asked to speak to a manager. The waitress said I would have to go to the cash register to do that. After waiting another 8 minutes, the manager arrived & asked what the problem was. I said we'd been sitting for 55 minutes and our order wasn't even right. She asked if $20 something was OK for a reduced bill...and I stated $20 something for what??? We never got the shakes or food we ordered!!! The manager said she'd talk to our waitress...and that was IT! There was no: How can we make this right? Here's a $25-$50 gift certificate...please come back & we'd like to earn back your business. Needless to say, we went to Wendy's next door...and 8 minutes later, we had our correct order, and the food was EXCELLENT! I've never had such a horrible customer experience in my life!!! read more

Were seated and waited for a whole for waitress. She finally took our order and we waited another 20 mins for our drinks to come. The cook was constantly pulling his pants up and tucking his shirt in with his rubber gloves on and then touching all the food. When our drinks finally came I complained about what I saw and asked them to have him change his gloves. They said they would let the manager know. We sat for another 20 mins waiting on our food watching the cook to continue to pull his pants up and tuck his short in. We got up complained to the waitress again and told her how disgusting it was that he kept doing it and no one told him to stop let alone change his gloves. Poor service. Poor cleanliness. Poor attitudes and poor food service sanitation. read more

The food and shakes there are delicious but when we were eating there we found glass in the shakes.

Don't eat here often but had a gift card so we decided to eat here tonight. I'm glad it was "free" because it was truly disappointing. Table wasn't clean. Waitress was very nice but didn't seem quite "there". Took FOREVER for our food to arrive. It wasn't that busy. I don't know, we still have one more gift card we will probably use. After that I don't think we'll be back. read more

Horrible place to dine. I've had two bad experiences in the past 6 months. I won't go back. Last visit was 9/22/13. I ordered single bacon w/cheese and fries. Hubby ordered a double with fries and a chocolate shake. The steakburger was paper thin and small. You could actually see the bun thru the meat patty on my sandwich. So small I couldn't even taste meat with the bun and condiments. Much smaller diameter than the bun. Hubby's chocolate shake wasn't served with the meal as requested. Had to remind staff three times to get his shake. 1. He ordered chocolate 2. While the shake was chocolate it had big chunks of strawberries in it. 3. He hates strawberries 4. It was served after he was almost finished with his meal, when it was to be with his meal. He was grossed out thinking they used a dirty glass that held a strawberry shake before. We were never offered silverware or napkins even after multiple requests to our server and passing servers. We were left having to wipe our fingers and mouths on our sleeves. We requested the shake be taken off our bill, no apologies were made and we were required to wait quite awhile when the cashier left to get approval. The shake was removed from the bill. In my opinion the whole meal was a bad experience and at minimum an apology was in order. My last prior visit to this restaurant I ordered a BLT sandwich. They only put a limp half strip of bacon on each half of the sandwich. I won't be going back and I don't recommend them. read more

Call me old-fashioned, but I don't believe leaving a costumer sitting in a drive through for 13 minutes before even asking him to place an order is 'quality service'. Luckily, I'm an understanding guy, which led me to simply park and go inside to order. Here's where it gets interesting. The staff seemed pretty full, and there weren't a whole lot of patrons, which left me begging the question... Why was nobody acknowledging me whatsoever?! After about another 8 minutes or so standing inside, listening to employees yammer amongst themselves, I decided that they were the experts, so I adopted their mentality, that food was a dumb idea anyway, and I exited the premises. read more

The young girl who works nights at the drive-thru is completely unable to wait on customers. She gets the orders wrong,takes forever to be able to give you a total and then doesn't give the correct change. When I left my car to go inside to show her the mistake she said "Great now I won't have to go outside to bring the order out", She had told me to pull ahead. On top of all her mistakes she is rude and unprofessional. I usually go there around 5AM or 6AM on weekdays every week and won't be doing that anymore until that person gets some training. Very disappointing since I love the food. I also would love to get a receipt which no one ever gives at the drive thru. read more

Worst service ever. Took forever to get drinks and our shakes. Very few servers on the floor. Only seen a manger once. Burgers were not correct. They were made sloppy. This is the worst steak n shake I have ever been too and I will never visit this one again. HORRIBLE read more

This would be my second time in a couple month's and both times they have had slow service and the person did not understand order had to repeat five different times and when told the lady at window that it's twenty minutes of us waiting and she acted like she didn't care seemed pretty rude read more

I love steak n' shake! I go there at all hours, for all meals. (And I have been to all three in the area, and this is the best.) I adore their shakes, seasonal and regular, and their burgers are to die for (specifically the royal). I used to get chicken as a kid, and recently started going for breakfast (all you can eat pancakes). The staff is always very friendly, and I never shy away from the tip because I KNOW I will be back. It's in a good location, though sometimes I feel it needs more parking/ seating because at lunch it can be a madhouse. I've only had two off experiences, and they were because of fellow customers; the situations were both quickly resolved by the manager (a screaming child, and a man rudely, constantly, shaking our table). They are very reasonably priced, and decently clean. read more

They have forgotten my food multiple times and refuse to acknowledge it. I have tried calling corporate, tweeting, going to facebook, ect however they never reply. This company really needs to get their customer service together or they will see issues in the near future. read more

Completely rude staff. We walked in for after dinner shakes on Christmas, wait for a table, get seated, wait another 10 minutes for the waitress to come up and ACCUSED us (3 ppl) of dining and dashing the last time we were in and THREATENED to call the cops. I proceeded to tell yhe waitress last time we were in well over a month ago I had paid cash for our ticket went to the bathroom and left. She insisted we left without paying and got her manager to come over who said he would call the cops on us if we didnt pay. We paid the ticket yet AGAIN ($40) and walked out without ordering a thing... needless to say we will NEVER return to this steak and shake. Especially after being accused of dining and dashing and paying a bill twice! I mean seriously 2 of the 3 of us in the group that got accused of dining and dashing work for attorneys! Most embarrassing thing ever...and on Christmas no less.... we will NEVER return. read more
