I've been to St Anne's on three occasions and it's truly a little piece of heaven. Located about 1.5 hours east of Toronto in the country side on a beautiful property, there is truly something for everyone. My most recent trip was a day trip for my bacholorette party. The day started of with one of the employees, Sheldon, giving us a tour of the property. He was incredibly enthusiastic and friendly and gave us a very warm welcome. You can store your belongings in a locker room and rather than a key or code to remember you have water proof bracelets that allow you to open and close your locker so you can be stress free that your belongings are safe. All you need to bring is a bathing suit and some flip flops and they provide you with a warm cozy bathrobe that you will wish you could leave with. The treatments are so relaxing and well worth every dollar. I had the pumpkin spice body rub which involved a full body exfoliation followed by a massage, all while breathing in delicious autumn scents with relaxing music. There's a plethora of pools from cold to piping hot, a sauna and a steam room so something for any time of year. In terms of food-if you go for the day you get both a 3 course lunch with a variety of unlimited hot and cold non alcoholic beverages and a full afternoon tea consisting of a variety of sandwiches, fruits and veggies, desserts and scones which are all delicious. They can easily accommodate for dietary restrictions such as vegetarian, vegan or gluten free. My favourites were the salmon, the dairy free ice cream, the scones (don't forget the cream and jam), and the seasonal warm apple cider. If that doesn't fill you up, there's apples and granolas available throughout the day as well as cucumber lemon water throughout the building to keep you hydrated. If you want to be more active, there a bunch of walking trails along the property and fitness/wellness activities throughout the day such as yoga, meditation as well as more cardio intense classes. If you just want to relax, you can grab a lounge chair on a hot day or lie in a hammock or on a hot day cosy up in a chair inside and read a book. There was another very friendly employee who went above and beyond, I believe his name was Mike, who offered to take picture of my friends and I and spent about half an hour with us at 2 different locations to make sure we got the perfect shots. The only room for improvement from my most recent visit was during the meals. There was a bit of confusion with ordering and there were a few instances where one person in the group's items were forgotten. Our waitress also tried to politely kick us out of afternoon tea after less than an hour. I enjoyed all my food but the quinoa in the quinoa salad was a little overcooked and dry and my friends did not enjoy the coconut curry as much. I think they do a great job with their baked goods considering they are gluten free but think it would be nice to a have a few non gluten free options although I realize that makes contamination an issue for those who are celiac and cannot have any gluten.

I love this place so friggin' much. I've been to a lot of spas, and this is the only one that is really a spa retreat. The last time I had been here was over 6 years ago and I have been dying to come back. My girlfriend and I made our long awaited return last week. We both desperately needed a getaway from our busy, stressful lives so we booked the 2 night stay. We stayed at the Sentosa Central cottage which was just so beautiful and spacious. We used the shuttle to get back and forth from the main inn. If the weather was nicer (warmer and less precipitation) we would have used the path that goes from the cottage to the main inn. The scenery from the cottage was just beautiful. The last time we were at the spa, they only had the hot tub and cold plunge pool. The renovations adding all of the water therapy pools was just stunning. One day we were in the hot tub and it started snowing. It was just so peaceful and gorgeous. We both booked several spa services, all of which were wonderful. My aroma stone massage was done by Sarah K and she went above and beyond by also giving me a therapy session to help relieve some emotional stress. Reade did both mine and my friend's foot therapy. We both talked about how charming and funny he was. Heather did my foot skin rejuvenation and coconut breeze treatments that I really enjoyed. The food was just absolutely stellar. Not a single complaint. It was so hard to choose what to eat because everything looked so delicious - and it was! We left relaxed, refreshed and ready to take on anything that came at us. We even decided to make this an annual retreat and booked our next trip! If you book within 7 days or checkout, you even get an extra spa credit. Every staff member was just so friendly, cheerful and helpful. We felt like queens. Thank you for the perfect retreat!

The location in Grafton, Ontario is off the beaten trail. But, the grounds are lovely with lounge chairs, an old-fashioned wooden swing for two, Muskoka chairs, gorgeous flowers, walking trails, a huge pool and more. When checking in we received complimentary slippers and the use of a robe during our stay. Although it's expensive, this is a great overnight destination to unwind and be pampered. My massage therapist made sure the massage was to my liking. The rooms are decorated in a shabby chic style. We chose a room with a hot tub (large enough for two) but there's also a larger hot tub outside for guests. The meals were high quality while the food portions were moderate. The staff encourage a tech-free stay by suggesting cell phones be used only for emergencies. Of course there's plenty of parking. After all we were in the middle of nowhere.

I thought it was supposed to be a ghost story! Our calm host welcomes us in at 9am and takes us for a short tour around the grounds, he points to this painted portrait to show us "Nan" the lady that used to live here, and OMG who do I see shuffling by in her slippers down the end of the hall and disappearing into the corridor, it was NAN! He goes on to say how we may see her from time to time on the grounds....I had to interrupt him saying I just saw her, does she haunt the grounds?! He replies, No she's still alive and she lives down the street now but used to live here in this building before it turned to spa....whew, wasn't going for that experience today! This place is very serene and old with some newer touches but mostly has a 70/80's decor feel. Being in the country in a non cell phone friendly place forces you to wind down and do a puzzle or knitting on one of their many couches. There is fruit infused water with granola snacks everywhere you turn here. I love the robe attire, they will exchange a new/dry one if needed. I spent a lot of time in the Eucalyptus Steam room, it fits probably 8 people in a hexagonal tiled room that has a rinse shower by the door. You will feel like you cleaned out your lungs sitting in here. The steam turns on every few minutes for short bursts until the room becomes foggy and steamy, it's very pleasant and must be tried if visiting. The pools: plunge(cold, fits 1 person), lap(warm, fits 2 technically) and hot tub, fits 4) we spent more than 30 minutes out in the pool area in freezing cold snowy January. Guests thought we were completely crazy, but if you want a good detox my friend, go into lap first, plunge, lap then hot tub and repeat 4x, your system will get the best flushing of your lymphatic system and make you stronger and healthier. Massage- mine was new and ok, but my husband got a strong and 10 yr experienced rmt and was really happy. they let you choose 1 of 4 essential oils to use during treatment, which they sell in the gift shop. Seaweed Wrap- I was made into sushi! This was great, starts with a quick full body brush exfoliation and you get to keep the brush after, followed by a massage to put on seaweed paste, then you are bundled with heat wraps to soak in the goodness while they massage your feet. You rinse off in a shower in the room after they step out, get back into a dry, cleaned and warmed table to be moisturized again with added essential oil you get to choose from. I loved this treatment, would do this again in a heartbeat! A full day at the spa goes by quick! We enjoyed lunch and high tea and I couldn't eat more even though all the food and portions seemed so small. High tea is worth going to and not missing, all the little bites to try. Time will fly by here but you will leave refreshed. A treat for sure and you won't be disappointed.

I'll admit, there was some apprehension... hearing their menu was delicious but healthy, I braced myself for quinoa salads and broiled fish. Luckily, while they do have options that are lighter, they also offer some hearty dishes as well. In general, they just give you a lot of choice; so much so that I couldn't choose between the beef tataki salad and the potato and scallion cakes to start. As a testament to their hospitality, our waitress brought both. The beef tataki salad was filled with crunchy fresh vegetables - radish slices, edamame, spring peas, and crunchy smashed cucumbers - so the lightly seared beef slices, while present, weren't the star of the dish. All the ingredients were nicely tied together dressed in a delicious ginger vinaigrette with tamari glaze drizzled on the plate for an extra savoury element. Meanwhile, the potato & scallion cakes were a letdown. The crispy French style crepes were in reality savoury pancakes, which tasted like they were made from Aunt Jemima mix with scallions thrown in. Having pictured the starter to be similar to latkes or rosti, it was very disappointing that the potatoes seemed missing from the equation. At least the tangy relish accompanying the pancakes were delicious and gave them some flavour. It was probably for the best that I didn't finish the pancakes anyways - the Ste. Anne's beef burger was a towering creation that demanded an appetite! The thick patty was cooked through but still juicy and dressed with aged cheddar and the customary fresh toppings. I could hardly squish the fluffy brioche Kaiser down to fit in my mouth. Overall, a very tasty burger and the horseradish chive aioli a lovely condiment in lieu of sugary ketchup. Despite it being a hearty burger, I can see why people describe Ste. Anne's food as "healthy". Firstly, the burger doesn't come with fries, in fact there's nothing fried on the menu. Instead, side options consists of soup or salad and even the Caesar dressing is light and vinaigrette based. Any menu item with "Ste. Anne" in the name is worth trying as there's something special about the dish. The Ste. Anne burger gets its moniker given they raise the cattle - something I realized after lunch. Wandering their property, to make my ways to the stables, I saw the herd grazing on grass and making their way down from the rolling hills towards the water fountain. Looking into their large eyes, as they lapped up the water, made me instantly feel guilty about how much I loved the burger. The butter tart is also called the "Ste. Anne" butter tart and is created on site at their bakery. It was my kind of desseert: a thin crispy crust filled with a gooey filling that's sweet, but not in a teeth hurting manner. In lieu of brown sugar they use a flavourful maple syrup, which gives it an added depth.

Where do I begin? I did an overnight package in November and had a blast (solo trip). I read the reviews so had an idea of what I was getting into and am so grateful to have found this place in such a short time and they were able to accommodate me. All the staff at Ste. Anne is great and provides exceptional customer service and hospitality. Check in: Smooth. Waiver and questionnaire to fill out. Once complete, guests are provided with an orientation/tour of the spa and the facilities. If you arrive early, you are able to access the facilities until your room or treatment is ready. Luggage can be stored in locker provided or in a locked room. Treatment: I had the Seaweed body wrap spa treatment with Ian. It is a one-hour treatment that includes foot, arm and scalp massage. Ian was fantastic and personable. He also let you know what his next steps was and why he is doing what he is doing to make you feel comfortable. I would recommend him if interested in this spa treatment. Food: The food is excellent, and they feed you well! So much so that on two occasions I took my remaining food to go (breakfast and lunch). Although you pre-pay for your food you are provided with a menu to choose from so it's not pre-selected. The menus also cater to gluten free and vegan diets. The teas are very nice. During my stay I had three teas: The Garden Chai, White honey fig and Detox green tea. I enjoyed them all. Meals are 3-courses. Accommodation: I stayed at the Grafton Inn because all the rooms on site were taken at the time of my booking. Ste. Anne uses this property to accommodate the high demand of guests that visit their location. It is a 5-minute drive from the spa and offers a charming, warm, country feel. Although it is offsite, Ste Anne cleaning staff still do housekeeping and the same amenities available in the onsite rooms are also available here. The only thing is when I was there the TV did not work; but wi-fi is available. There is a nook in the hallway of you want tea or coffee. One thing I like about this accommodation is it is in a house that has multiple rooms so don't expect the "hotel" feel. Facilities: There are a lot of areas inside and outside the spa to sit down and relax, sleep, reflect and/or meditate. The hydrotherapy pools are fantastic. The 4 pools go from lukewarm to hot which is nice especially since these are outdoors. The idea is to move to each pool, stay for a certain time and repeat (similar to the Scandinavian spa except there are no cold baths). The sauna and steam room were closed due to Covid. I used Ste. Anne's gym and was impressed with the amount of equipment they have. It was nice to be in the gym and use weights. There is also 3 trails that you can take advantage of depending on how long/far you want to talk. I took the longest trail which was about a hour walk and enjoyed it tremendously. There are other services onsite that are available to take advantage off at no-charge or a small fee. Additional services: Ste. Anne spa offers a shuttle service that will drive you around where you need to go without you having to drive. For example, I was driven to and picked up from Grafton Inn. I was dropped off and picked up from the gym. This service is offered 24/7. Another perk is at the front desk they have spare phone charges and adaptors for android and iPhone. I would recommend this spa to everyone. It is a place to visit at least once. Everyone (staff and non-staff) are friendly. I was pleasantly surprised as I did not know such a place existed in Ontario. It is pricey but in my opinion, it was worth it and you can control how much you want to spend.

This is what I think heaven should be!!! The best day spa in Ontario IMHO! I usually go by using the Diva for the Day package, Diva Day Spa at Ste. Anne's will now include a 3-course lunch, afternoon tea buffet, complete use of the extensive facilities and a choice of one of the following spa treatments: * 1/2 hour Caribbean Aqua Therapy * 1/2 hour Caribbean Foot Rejuvenation * 1/2 hour Essential Oil Scalp Rejuvenation * 1/2 hour Pure Aroma Massage I also have the seaweed body masque, Moor Mud Hydro wrap, deep tissue massage, reflexlogy when I visit Ste Annes a various time! The food is great and is healthy too.. For lunch you have choice of appetitzer, self serve salad bar, main course and a dessert. You cannot imagine spa lunch can be so yummy. For afternoon tea, you got to pick from a menu of over 10 different teas and then you can go and help yourself with little bite side cakes, biscuits, cheese and sandwiches (ok and a really chocolate chocolate brownies) There are always little snacks in the spa waiting area and the fruity spa water are available too! All the staffs are so professional. All my treatments were excellent! I love all the Aveda products they provide everywhere, in the showers, in the washroom... ahahahah! And the grounds are so gorgerous! I enjoyed walking on the trails, hanging out on the hammock and the loungers by the pool, having a soak in the outdoor whirlpool! (nothing beat in the hot tub when it is snowing!) I wish I can be an overnight guests some day soon!

Just came back from my day trip to Ste Anne's Spa. Wonderful experience! I purchased the 'All Inclusive Day Spa Package' for $215.00. The package includes lunch, afternoon tea, $120 credited towards the spa treatment of your choice and complete access to the facility. I started my day with a massage followed by a wonderful lunch, a hot apple cider with a shaved beef on a ciabatta bun. The food was delicious and the service was extremely friendly. Following my lunch, I took a dip in the hot tub and some down time in the eucalyptus sauna. The hot tub was perfect with the cool air mixing with the heat from the tub. The Eucalyptus room is a steam room with eucalyptus oil added to the water. I found the eucalyptus room to be a bit over powering but there are many other activities available at Ste Annes. Later in the afternoon I enjoyed my first 'tea time'. Sweet and savory finger sized snacks. A perfect light snack to end my first experience at Ste Anne's Spa.

My entire experience here was so fantastic - from the booking process to the entire stay. Staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the process. Upon arrival, we were greeted right away and given a thorough orientation to the building and services. Everything is clean, beautiful, and cozy - the perfect spa getaway. We got a Fall package that included afternoon tea and a few meals, and the food was amazing! Everything tasted like farm to table ingredients and the portions were great. The massage service was fantastic, and all the various amenities were excellent. The eucalyptus steam room smelled delicious. I wish the pools were open, but we are hoping to be back in the warmer weather when the Hyrotherapy construction is all complete! We stayed in the Finch room, and it was quite comfortable. We did get to enjoy the beautiful trails outside, and the view is stunning. I would definitely come back! Note: It books up fast!

In Grafton Ontario, on lovely farm land. There is a main paved road leading to the spa or a gravel road through the trees with cute road signs. I had purchased a wag jag for my mom and I to come so we were given a room in the Birdsong cottage, vs in the main inn. Check in was at 2pm where they would give an orientation of the property. My mom did not want the tour so we just went to relax in the massage chairs of the quiet room. There was water and apples in this room, along with sofas and puzzles on tables. I was a little annoyed that our tea time was 3pm and my massage was at 3:30. I could not relax and enjoy my snacks as I had to rush to my treatment. Mom's was at 3:45. The dining room (old treatment waiting room) had inside and outdoor seating. The ladies change room is clean, spacious and has hot tub and saunas in it along with hair dryers, lockers, etc. The waiting room for treatments (the old dining room) has sofas, tables, puzzles, tea, coffee, water, biscotti and granola. I had the deep tissue massage and the room was comfortable and therapist very skilled. The eucalyptus steam room has towels just outside and water. The grotto with hot tub, cold plunge pool is just outside from the steam room and quiet room. There is another lounge room just past the treatment waiting room and plenty of outdoor muskoka chairs and bistro tables, benches, etc. The pool was not open yet. The birdsong cottage is a short drive away...close to the bakery. Last time I stayed in the inn and it was definitely more convenient for using the quiet room or lounges and bikes. There are walking trails and stables as well.

I am finally writing a review for my favourite place on earth. I have been coming to St. Anne's for years now and it never disappoints. If you come for the day, you arrive at 9am and stay till 6pm which includes lunch (around noon) and afternoon tea (around 3pm), your choice of a wellness class if you wish (yoga, meditation, stretch, etc) and a treatment somewhere in there. Your itinerary is emailed to you upon booking and a copy is provided as soon as you arrive along with your robe that you get to wear the whole day (including at meals). The food is delicious, well presented and small portions. But if you are hungry, just order more. They are really good about that! I used to go for the day but since the drive is about 1.5 hours from mississauga, I now come for an overnight. If you stay overnight, you arrive around 1pm and get afternoon tea and dinner on the first day, then breakfast and lunch on the 2nd day with a checkout at noon on day 2...but you can use the facilities until 230pm. I have stayed even later and they have never kicked me out! I really want to stay 2 nights at some point because the time just flies when you are there! The facilities are great! I have never stayed at the main inn but I have stayed at the innkeepers cottage (10 min walk), the gables cottage (5min walk) and also the farmhouse cottage (5 min) and all 3 are excellent and have wifi. If you don't want to walk there is a shuttle. Turn down service includes a chocolate on your pillow. A nice touch! Cottages are fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body ways, q-tips, shower cap, etc and full kitchen with glasses, corkscrew, fridge, kettle, etc. They have a great pool outside with lots of lounges and towels. The gym is about a 20 minute walk from the main inn but they have shuttles that can take you or of course you can drive yourself. Amazing trails to run or walk. Eucalyptus steam is a must. Tips: - bringing your own wine is awesome. They have a wine fridge and will store it for you and open it at lunch and/or dinner. I like to open a bottle at the cottage before dinner. The cottages have such lovely sitting areas it is perfect to relax before a fabulous meal. - if you are coming in the summer, go during the week. Very busy on weekends... - they always have granola, apples, biscotti and one of their teas and coffees brewed in the waiting room. Bring a travel mug with you so that you can fill it up for the drive home. - bring a couple of swimsuits for the pool and hot tubs. I also like to bring my own flip flops and slippers. - at dinner, bring your suit and then ask for your tea in a to go cup after dinner and do a hot tub under the stars. Amazing! Enjoy!

I had GF French onion soup! Delicious! When I ordered the burrata, they cut GF bread into rounds and grilled them to simulate the crostini they'd normally serve it with. It was amazing. The bison strip loin dinner was a triumph! I also had the ribeye ragout with GF pasta, the pickerel chowder, the Caesar salad without croutons, and the poached prawns. My only note for the restaurant is to provide more GF desserts besides ice cream sundae. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I see a lot of poor reviews a few years ago. In terms of food and service a lot has changed for the better post-Covid. The comments about the decor are on point, though. The decor is a little dated but my terrace room was well appointed and very clean. I loved having the fireplace, whirlpool bathtub, and amazing view of Sturgeon Lake from my balcony. Overall a wonderful experience. I am already planning to return. :)
