I bought a 2 day glamping package for my husband for Christmas 2022. It was about a day and a half…read moreat the resort with meals included (dinner, breakfast, lunch and dinner, then breakfast the final day. The day finally arrived and we were so excited! Pros: The grounds are beautiful and we really enjoyed our tent. Huckleberry was private and had the best view of the lake. The bed was super comfortable and had luxury linens. The soaker tub was great and we loved the fridge and coffee maker. The staff were extremely friendly! The live music at night was amazing! Jeff on the second night was incredible! His voice was outstanding! Cons: The price is insane and not a great value for money. You will pay $1,000 per day. We ended up paying 2K for 1.5 days. For that price, we could stay in a Deluxe suite at the Shangri-La hotel in Toronto for 2 nights. The food was good, but for what we paid, it was not at all worth it. For example, for dinner the first night, we had burgers. As a foodie, I have had some over the top burgers-truffle, foie gras, pork belly, lamb, etc. These were normal burgers with a bunch of toppings they provided with salad. One day they did chicken tacos. Again for the price we paid, we should have had lobster tacos or filet. Also drinks were not included. There was a glass of wine at dinner. For the price, it should be all Inclusive or allow guests to bring their own and be able to drink in common places. Our friends there said the s'mores were not good and costed them $8. Also our friends got the pizza and it was $30. The pizza was like a microwave pizza. The place even has wood fire pizzas. Also I am not a big fan of breakfast and I organized with Nina the venue coordinator to have more of a brunch basket. The pita and crackers were stale and the guacamole was brown. It was left over from the burger dinner. The croissant was also burnt. We also felt like there should have been more. Maybe a snack or dessert. The food choices and quality did not reflect the price. Honestly for the price, everyone should have had private chefs and been able to order what they wanted. Another aspect was not having a lot to do during the day. We all ended up hanging out by the pool. There was a wine tour, but it was walking in the woods with wine, not an actual winery. It would be better if there was a tasting set up at each spot. Overall it was a beautiful place and we did have a lot of fun. We wouldn't come back unless the price was $300-600 per night. We don't see the value in how expensive it is.

We didn't want to leave, will for sure be making this an annual trip, I want to live here for an entire summer, and I have started passing out gift cards to all my friends for Whispering Springs. If this doesn't show my love for this place I don't know what will. We stayed in the Canadiana tent the first night and then moved over to Meadowlark. The pictures do not at all do justice to the tents or the property. They were huge and so beautifully decorated. I honestly don't think you can go wrong no matter which tent you pick. We did enjoy the layout (being able to lay in bed and look straight out) and secludedness of Meadowlark slightly more than Canadiana, but again you really can't go wrong. After being on the property I would love to try Wildwood (the most secluded and with an outdoor shower), Huckleberry and Casablanca next. We arrived hungry, and they offered to deliver pizza to our tent, but we decided to sit on the patio by the Watering Hole instead. The wood fired pizza was delish. You can buy breakfast and dinner baskets, but they need to be ordered in advance. I had considered it, but decided not to, but will try it out next time. Otherwise we stocked up on food and snacks from the Foodland in town. I would recommend to pick it up all on your way- once we got there we didn't want to leave. We enjoyed the hot tub and played many of the lawn games - ladder ball, connect 4, corn bag toss, ping pong. There is just SO much to do and we didn't get around to it all - like the canoeing, paddle boarding/boating, massages will need to wait until next time. The property was lovely to walk around on. It would make an amazing wedding venue. We couldn't get over how stunning the entire property is. An absolute gem of a place. I also don't want to forget how fantastic all the staff were. They were all SO nice. You can tell they truly care about your experience and want to do a good job. I also really liked that this is an adults only destination. It was perfect!

****Belleville Brides to be******* Before you book with…read moreurban collective(the old Greek hall) please read my experience**** My wedding was recently catered by urban collective - we actually booked our special day through the Greek hall(we knew sooo many people who had an amazing experience and food through the Greek hall)- however - months after booking our date and giving a deposit - they changed hands and were leased out to urban collective... that is where my nightmare began! We were assure they would honour the contract and provide us exactly what we already signed up for! Well- it wasn't long that we were forwarded the new menu- with the new prices- new hall rental fee (which was double)- and told they would not offer us a per person open bar rate- qnd simply told "too bad- u can have ur despite back if you would rather" (not an option 6 months before my day) well- I'm going to assume another bride was also unhappy with this- as I received an email by mistake to another bride claiming a lawyer was involved- and that they would honour the original contract- so I also was assured they would again honour the contract. So we went in a met with shawneen (who is the nicest person) picked out our new menu and late night snack ect- worked out the details to sign a new contract! So- short time until the wedding- I received yet another email- saying they due to liquor license- they can't give us the open bar rate because it wouldn't allow- but they could run a tab! So upset yet again- crying to my fiancé for the 3rd time- called the alcohol and gaming commission to find out they r full of shit! So- contacted them again - and they magically found a way to honour it Then the wedding... the prime rib was indeed delicious... everything else- meh... the chicken was soooo dry and cold I couldn't even eat it- I just picked out the stuffing - (all the guests I spoke with said the same thing)- I had an open bar scheduled from 7-12... well dinner ran late serving and took almost 2 hours to feed 130people (more servers needed 100%- to avoid us sitting around waiting for the next course) so the open bar didn't get open until 8pm(limited to certain agreed types) Welllll- by 9pm they were out of 2 kinds of beer and rye! So instead of simply charging the difference for premium beer- they were charging full price to my guests! It was a beautiful day 23degeee and cooled down to 15 by the evening- inside the hall was 28!!! Apparently the air was on! - but this worked in their favour- over half of my guests left by 9pm because it was so damn hot in there!- so the venue didn't have to provide already paid for alcohol to them! A toilet flooded into the main entrance walk way... (unpreventable I know- but still awful) The poutine bar for a late night snack- that was only open for a half hour and my father in law to a rough count of how many people were in line- a whopping 34 people got to enjoy the midnight snack!!! None of which over served! And half of those people did not get gravy as it has run out and not replenished - despite me entering the kitchen to request more!! Within a Half an hour- it was cleaned up and gone! Now let's talk about Tim(owner) And his extreme unprofessionalism!!! He approached me in a beyond rude manner while wagging his finger in my face on my special day telling me I had better thank the venue and acknowledge the staff (which I had just done in my speech) ... umm wow!!! I was in tear on my wedding day- and not the good kind!! Thanks Tim Then... after all said and done... I received a final bill.... 100$ for chair set up! - I paid a lot of money for my decorator (who was my saving grace) to decorate- wel apparently tim volunteered to help bring in chairs with the decorating team- he was told "ohhh you don't have to- but thank you" as he helped moved the chairs- how gutsy- to then try and charge me for "chair set up"!! And 100$$$!!!! And then a bill for wine- wine- wow.. I am realllllly pissed about this! As it was agreed to have the wine served to the tables (it's an open bar- open bottles on the table would just be wasted) this was agreed and confirmed prior to the day! When I left at midnight (with very few guests left) nearly every table had full jugs of wine that just went to waste- which I did NOT want- and knew would happen with an open bar! So not only do I not get to return the bottles of wine for $$ that they have wasted -$ out of my pocket- but now they want to charge me corkage fee for those wasted bottles! In no way do I want to intentionally slander this business- I just want other brides to know what they put me through- so they can make the choice for themselves to use this business for their special day!
