It's located in the marketplace section of Disney Springs. The store offers a wider range of artwork and collectables, including paintings, sculptures and even limited edition prints! The merchandise inside The Art of Disney spans across many different Disney franchises. Some of the art work include pieces from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves to even Frozen and Moana! You can also find collectibles such as pins or keychains. The store also offers customization services, allowing you to create personalized artwork with your favorite Disney characters!! It's super cool! Unfortunately, the store doesn't offer direct shipping to your house. There is a separate service called Disney Parks Merchandise Mail order. You can use this service to order merchandise over the phone and have it shipped to your house. The prices may vary though compared to in-store on mail order. There are quite a few pieces I have my eye on, but nothing I can afford at present. If you plan on making a purchase here, make sure you have a high limit on your credit card. The lowest price a giclee will run you is around $1500. If you're looking for an original piece, add a few more grand onto the price tag. The employees here are wonderful. They know each piece of art very well and can tell you all about the various artists. Also, unlike many places where high priced items are sold, the employees treat everyone with respect and they will actually give you the time of day!

The first day is crammed with bloggers and vloggers, and they are still working out the kinks in the kitchens so the food lines were long and we did not end up getting to try as much as we wanted, so we made plans to come again before the festival ended. That was a great decision, as the food, especially the desserts have gotten even better over the years. We love the Animation Academy and make plans to attend both sessions. And enjoy looking at the art and occasionally bring home a piece. This year we got a piece called Cheeky Tiki with the Orange Bird. The only disappointment was this year's Festival Treat. The Figment Rice Crispy was way too sweet and not worth the effort.

I oooh'd and ahhh'd as I walked past collectibles, figurines, sculptures, exclusive keepsakes, framed prints, paintings, souvenir postcards, artwork, Christmas ornaments and many more all Disney-inspired. At the same token I oooh'd and ahhh'd at the prices of each item. This store was for the serious Disney collector. Towards the front of the store there was an artist on location at work. It was actually pretty cool watching him work his magic putting life on a white sheet of paper. As I continued to walk around I came upon a glass case displaying Disney Princesses. I fell in love with the princess figurines as I have a few in my collection. I stopped collecting them as my daughters grew up. Now I just collect memories from our travels. They have all kinds of different art pieces with of course a Disney theme. Pretty much every Disney character and Disney park is represented in artwork inside the store. If you don't see a character you want there are even machines where you can pull up art pieces that you can have custom made. They pretty much always have an artist on site who is doing sketches where you can watch and see how it's done. This is especially awesome if you want to buy a piece and ensure that it was handmade you can literally buy the piece the artist is working on. All of the large framed art pieces come with certificates of authenticity so you can be sure your piece will hold its value over time. Recently they've also started to include some of the pieces from a variety of different artists that are also at Disney Springs so they're a little more fun and Whimsical than your standard art pieces you may be used to seeing from Disney. They also sell almost everything in a print so it's definitely a lot cheaper than an original piece of art. So there's something for every budget inside the store. What I saw during my most recent visit was an exhibit on Kawaii: Japan's Cute Culture. If you're a fan of stuff such as Hello Kitty, you should come check this out.

ENTER ANCIENT JAPANESE FORTRESS TO VISIT CUTE KAWAII EXHIBIT…read more The EPCOT Japan Pavilion (World Showcase) features an impressive stone fortress gate with a moat . The fortress gate is located in the back of the pavilion. We later read that it is a replica of a 17th century fortress known as the White Heron Castle. We expected to find something equally dramatic behind the gate but instead, entered the Bijutsu-kan Gallery. This small exhibit introduces visitors to kawaii culture (Hello Kitty is a popular example of kawaii culture). Unless you're into kawaii, this probably will be a 5-10 minute stop. The fortress gate also opens to the large Mitsukoshi Dept Store (outpost of a Japanese dept store chain founded in the 1670s) that we feel is one of the best shops in EPCOT.
