This company spent 5 minutes in my property and said it needed a rewire. Work started the property I had just bought looked like a building site in just a day. No floor covering used, wooden floors need replacing, stair carpets replaced. This was signed off as finished. All work done. Western Electric had to replace the earth as the house was left unearthed. An old consumer unit with bits missing so you could touch live parts. Was still there and yes you could still touch live parts. Shower unit left so water could get in. Death trap. Outside light left with water dripping in. In all 19 faults were found. I had to pay again for the faults to be corrected. Paying twice for a house to be rewired is not easy. I paid him £3000. He is now taking me to court for another £1000. He could not careless that he left the property in a dangerous state. read more

Electrician booked for 1pm and I waited in for him. After 30 minutes of failing to show, I phoned up and was assured he was simply delayed at previous job. 2 hours later and 3 phone calls later, was told he had gone home sick. They never once phoned me back with an update, didn't offer an apology and didn't offer any alternative solution. Subsequent calls to them for a resolution were not even answered. Would never use again and would not recommend to anyone for such poor customer service. read more

Carl is a first rate electrician. He teaches electricians at the local college, so he is the other end to cowboy. He is polite, helpful, and flexible in his attitude. By my estimation, his charges are reasonable. I used him to partially rewire a turn of the century semi in Sneinton Nottingham.
