Owner Wendy and I. Happy Customers!!!
    Jenny S.

We love Wendy and Team!!! They went the extra mile for us!!! We had a Solenoid spring a leak under our carriage that had to be replaced!!! Wendy's team diagnosed our problem at 4pm in the afternoon and by 8 am the following morning was on the phone getting us the part we needed dropped next day. She followed up with UPS and tracked our parts arrival. By 12pm we were back on the road! Wendy's diligence got us on the road in less than 48 hours-- safe to travel. We love family businesses!!! Thank you again Wendy and everyone at Statkus Engines!!!!

(TRUCKERS BEWAR) check the work good!!! I took my Pete in for new bushings 3 axle alignment shocks…read morebasically a complete suspension job. My truck was there for over 3 weeks when I picked it up and took it literally down the street it was damn near shaking apart so I took it right back and they kept it for another week because they never preformed the camber on it when I picked it up it was ok and I was told to buy new tires that they were the cause of the shaking so I went and got new tires mounted and balanced all the way around the truck. I still had an issues with the wearing of tires on the steer so I took it back again and to my surprise I was told that I needed to drop the steer axle again and get a camber done on it, when I told them that it was done by them a month ago they replied that it if there's not two signatures on the paper that it was my fault for taking the truck and not checking it. I paid for it again and when I came back a few days later to my surprise they told me it was done but when I inspected the truck there was not one new u bolt on it witch lead me to believe the job was not done again I also ended up with a bent bumper in the process but by this time I needed my truck and I needed it to be working again. Months later I stopped at a shop in Denver because my tires are wearing again and what a night and day difference with the experience and I was told that I would get updates threw the whole process. I stayed there a week and it costed me 1,800.00 vs the 5,700.00 I paid at McBrides and to this day the truck is running as smooth as it ever has not to mention I got photos and video of all the work done on my truck. BE CAUTIOUS when getting work done here and make sure you inspect everything they say they did they are vary untrustworthy and will cut corners and lie that they did work they never preformed. I I'm not the only one that this has been done to there are a lot of independents and small trucking companies that will attest to what I am saying it sucks that they are the only ones in Albuquerque but a little drive to Cruces, El Paso or Colorado will save you big in the long run.

Wheel Align It is simply an honest mechanic shop that does good work at a good price. I used Heidi…read moreand her family sporadically for years but would also try other shops that were closer to wherever I happened to live. Frankly, it's just worth the drive to head downtown to Wheel Align It. Last summer I received an estimate to replace my timing belt and get some additional work done from another mechanic. When I called Heidi she quoted me $500 less than the other guy and tried to talk me into putting off replacing the timing belt because she said it really didn't need to happen for another year or so. What kind of mechanic talks you out of spending money? A great one. As for the shop itself, it's a no frills place but is filled with a veritable menagerie. She has a dog, a cat and several birds that roam the small waiting area. The animals are friendly but like any shop you'd rather just get out of there. If you want to watch TV while you wait or have snacks and coffee this isn't your place. Also, while I've never taken her up on it she has offered to pick me up or drop me off when I've left a vehicle, which is a nice touch. Ultimately, I can't recommend Wheel Align It highly enough. I think they are the best in town. As a side note Wheel Align It 2 in the heights is a different outfit altogether. I'm sure there's a story there but I don't know it.

Honesty Ethics and Auto Repair are three words you will rarely find in the same sentence, but at…read moreLeonard Tire and Auto it's how they do business. I recently decided to take my daughter's Honda CRV to Leonard Tire and Auto for a third opinion on repairs. My ex took the CRV to Perfection Honda Service department. They proceeded to make a long list of things broken or worn on the car. The list was well over 1,000.00 in repairs and new tires. Perfection Honda recommended the following replacement and repairs: Front sway bar links worn Lower ball joints open Front studs feel harsh, worn, dust boots broken. Front and rear sway bars replace Realign after ball joint replacement New tires Rear brakes 805.25 219.95 Totall: 1025.24 not including the new tires. So she took it to another mechanic, this time TKS Automotive LLC, handed them perfection Honda's list and they added to it To the tune of... $1584.00! We then took the car to Leonard tire and Auto they looked at it for a day and a half and found nothing wrong! They did say it could use some wipers but we can buy those at checker or wal mart. They even told my daughter that she was taking good care of her car. The Mechanic shook his head at both the proposed invoices from Perfection and TKS and shook his head and said," I'm all for making the Leonard's money, but not like this, never like this."

1st APPOINTMENT I…read morewas getting an emission test for my 2004 Accord at an oil change shop when I struck up a conversation with an auto mechanic, telling him I'm due for a new timing chain. He strongly recommended I take my car to ABQ Quality Auto. I'm not mechanically inclined so it was great getting a recommendation from a mechanic, particularly since it was from a competing shop. ABQ Quality Auto was slightly less expensive than other shops but they didn't include new gaskets in the advertised price. When I asked why, they told me that cars generally don't need them but they would replace them if they did. It turned out they weren't needed which is a good sign they're honest. 2nd APPOINTMENT I went in for a synthetic oil change. They called to tell me one headlight was out was out and recommended I replace both at the same time which I did. And they told me the two rear tires were leaking air. They repaired one but said the other puncture was on the sidewall so both rear tires would probably have to be replaced. But they referred me to Albuquerque Tire and they were able to repair it for under $30! 3rd APPOINTMENT I brought my car in because a warning light kept blinking. They did an initial diagnostic test that indicated at least one of the oxygen sensors was bad so I thought I would be out a few hundred bucks. I left my car for a deeper diagnosis and they found it just needed a software update which brought the initial estimate way down. I'm grateful that I found an honest auto repair shop with expert technicians.
