If you walk down the stairs, they are behind the stairs. There is no small size. The middle size is only good for a backpacks. For carry on size luggage, you need at least a L size, which is 9 euro for L size. There are bigger sizes, which will cost more. The instructions are clearly stated in the locker room. No staff are there to help you. Credit card is accepted.

Nonetheless, this was a large station with multiple shops and was extremely neat, I was pleasantly surprised. This station seemed to have local and trains to take you to other European countries.

This train station also has a bunch of shops and vending machines around in case you want some candy, drinks, magazines, or phone chargers before you hop on the train. For the most part, this train station does what it needs to do, it looks fairly nice, was kept pretty clean, and I have no real issues with it. The only thing I will say is that they definitely don't have enough seating around, lots of people holding lots of stuff wanting to sit down. Overall, Lille-Flandres Train Station is a pretty standard train station and serves the city of Lille just fine and most importantly, you can't beat the location right next to the mall.

The difference is that the other station isn't actually a through station where as this one is. Fortunately you can actually walk between them, and it doesn't take all that long to get there either. It's pretty new, mainly having been built for the high-speed rail, the one that goes to England and also the one between Amsterdam and Paris. The best part is that the Eurostar high-speed train from here to London is an amazing way to do it. You get to go from city center to city center in ~2 hours while being on a train that lets you walk around instead of being crammed in a seat buckled into a plane. The actual station though is just fine. There's no nice waiting area before or after the security screening. The security screening itself is a longer line and more of a hassle than you'd like for a train. I get that they have to treat it like a border crossing post-Brexit, but it's still frustrating. Beyond that the only real place to get a snack or drink is a single, pretty sad duty free shop.
