Not the best experience…read more Recently booked our car in for a Full service, and specifically wanted a few extras done at the time - including Diff Oil change, and Brake Fluid change. All of this was specified at time of booking. Service day and heard nothing all day and phoned at 5pm to be told it would be ready to be picked up (they closed at 5:30pm) Raced there with minutes to spare and was given the invoice which made no mention of the extras I had requested. They hadnt been done. To say I was a bit unhappy is an understatement, but the manager was very nice and did a great deal on getting it back in and to do the extras I had requested. We thought this was an end to it all. Immediately after we got the car back, the car was not braking properly. Almost as though the ABS was coming on at very slow speed stopping. Rather than take it back to them yet again, I had a mobile mechanic check it out. The bleed screws on the rear callipers had been rounded off, and couldnt be undone to check for air in the system as this is what the cause appears to be. New Calipers required. So either BP Rolls have rounded these off upon refitting when they bled the brakes, or they were like that to start with and they did not bleed the rear system after refilling with new fluid and decided theyd just hope for the best. I also had an automated reminder for the cars MOT, 2 days after it had been with THEM for MOT and passed. All of this does not really fill me with confidence. Perhaps it was jut a blip, but it does put me off going back to them again. Particularly with the brakes, which is a safety issue

Since then they have carried out a number of jobs on my BMW. In every case they have been brilliant in diagnosing what needs doing, explaining and recommending the best way to address the issues. Their pricing is very reasonable especially when you consider the very high standards they have achieved. Their customer service is second to none and is way beyond what I have experienced before, even at a main agent. If you need anything doing on your car take it to JB Motors; it's a no brainer! Very disappointing experience - not the professional diagnostic promised…read more I booked my car in with VolcanMotors for what was clearly advertised and verbally confirmed as a professional and detailed diagnostic. When I made the booking, the owner assured me they would carry out proper due diligence and identify the root cause of the issue. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of that expectation. After a few hours, I was told the "diagnostic" had been done using a diagnostic machine only, with no meaningful additional investigation. There was no visual inspection, no deeper fault-finding, and no attempt to properly validate the issue. They simply repeated the same fault code information I was already aware of. Based on this very superficial check, they quickly recommended a major and expensive repair -- without demonstrating any thorough analysis to justify it. When I asked reasonable questions to understand their process and reasoning, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude rather than a professional explanation. What's most disappointing is not just the lack of diagnosis, but the lack of honesty and professionalism. If the garage does not have the expertise, time, or willingness to properly diagnose a vehicle, it would be far more professional to say so upfront rather than provide a costly recommendation based on a basic scan. I trusted them to treat both the job and me as a customer with professionalism and respect. Instead, I received neither. I would not return to this garage and would not trust their diagnostic conclusions.
