Very disappointing experience - not the professional diagnostic promised…read more I booked my car in with VolcanMotors for what was clearly advertised and verbally confirmed as a professional and detailed diagnostic. When I made the booking, the owner assured me they would carry out proper due diligence and identify the root cause of the issue. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of that expectation. After a few hours, I was told the "diagnostic" had been done using a diagnostic machine only, with no meaningful additional investigation. There was no visual inspection, no deeper fault-finding, and no attempt to properly validate the issue. They simply repeated the same fault code information I was already aware of. Based on this very superficial check, they quickly recommended a major and expensive repair -- without demonstrating any thorough analysis to justify it. When I asked reasonable questions to understand their process and reasoning, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude rather than a professional explanation. What's most disappointing is not just the lack of diagnosis, but the lack of honesty and professionalism. If the garage does not have the expertise, time, or willingness to properly diagnose a vehicle, it would be far more professional to say so upfront rather than provide a costly recommendation based on a basic scan. I trusted them to treat both the job and me as a customer with professionalism and respect. Instead, I received neither. I would not return to this garage and would not trust their diagnostic conclusions.

I thought it may be uneconomical to repair and considered scrapping despite the fact it was a really good runner. Steve at Prestige Autotech diagnosed the problem and fixed it with a new part called a valve block. The cost was less than I feared and it is now better than ever. I highly recommend these guys and will use them for all future needs.

I found Prestige Autotech on the internet contacted 'Phil' and described the problem and he gave me a very competitive estimate (£216 +vat to replace both front springs) and we booked it in for the following morning. The repair was carried out most efficiently, I found their workshops to be very clean and modern and Phil to be most helpful and knowledgeable. My car was back on the road and off to the test centre for retesting (which it passed of course) by early afternoon and the final bill exactly what it said on the tin. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and will be returning for all my future motoring needs.

Avoid at all costs, this company have cost me thousands of pounds and have written off my car!…read more I have been in dialogue with their customer services department for nearly six months in regards to a faulty service that they carried out on my vehicle. They failed to road test the vehicle (I have proof in the form of mileage pictures), failed to fill in the service report correctly and also fitted a faulty fuel filter to the car which caused the car to break down first thing the next morning meaning I couldn't get to work on time. I opened a complaint with their customer services team the same evening (18th Oct). The best is yet to come. A few weeks later on 23rd Nov my car broke down at 9pm by the Hindhead Tunnel. This left my pregnant fiancée on the road in freezing cold temperatures. I had to get the car recovered at my expense and was now without a car. The long and short of it was that Mr Clutch had put the wrong oil in my vehicle on the day of the service. This took them nearly four months to admit liability, the whole time I had been and still am fighting with their insurance company to recover my costs. My car has been declared a total write off and they are refusing to issue a refund for the original service! I was never once offered a courtesy car and am fighting to recover my costs for a car that I had to rent on a monthly basis whilst liability was being established. They have conducted themselves in the most appalling manner from the day the car went in for the service and their aftersales has been totally nonexistent. I still have not received an apology of any sort. The above is a short version of events!

Never again would I use this company after they could have killed me and others!! They fitted a…read moresteering rack to a Skoda Octavia but when I was driving, there was a loud knocking every time I went over a bump. I took it to the closest garage only to be told they had not tightened the track rod ends! If these had come off, the wheel would have gone where ever it wanted and I would not have been able to steer the vehicle. I took it back to mr clutch to rectify. It was then discovered they had put the track rod ends on back to front and damaged both front wheels. While at mr clutch, the complaints from customers that I heard in the short time I was there was unbelievable. How they are still trading is a mystery. Use at your own risk!!
