This was my second time visiting this business. The first time I visited this business, they completed a 30 minute dash cam install modification in 20 minutes. I really appreciated how transparent their pricing was. When I realized these folks were also capable of custom stereo installs, I asked them for their feedback on the stereo I had then, and discussed with them about what might be possible in the exact same car. Over a year later, I got another car just like the one I had before, and was interested in making my vision happen. I was always interested in installing the best budget components possible, and getting the best sound possible spending as little money as possible, and this business helped with their expertise, their experience, and their professionalism. Owner Mike, and son Mike Junior and expert installer José are a dream team. All three deliver highly professional and highly experienced service, customer care and attention. They do it happily with a smile on their face. And they answer all questions with a level of confidence that is reassuring. You know you're dealing with pros when you're talking with these people. What I really want to highlight yet again is the integrity, honesty, and transparency in their pricing. This was the first car audio shop that gave me an HOURLY price for their labor, where everyone else offers opaque pricing, leaving themselves wiggle room to find ways to squeeze money out of their customers in other ways. I shopped around and looked for car audio installers that would install the components I had already purchased, and this business was the only one that gave me an hourly rate for their labor. I really appreciated that, and it spoke volumes to me about the integrity at this business, and the likelihood of ripoffs at other businesses. SC audio is not only staffed with experienced professionals, but honest and hard-working people. And like I said, it's a family business--dad and son, in partnership with an incredibly knowledgeable and experienced professional named Jose. For this visit, SC audio installed in my latest car a three channel dash cam with both a front and back camera, as well as two speakers in my two front doors, and the amplifier to power them. I've also decided that I'll be returning next week to have them install a compact subwoofer under my driver seat, because as much as I enjoy the components they have already installed, I've admitted to myself that I need a subwoofer, and there was no way around that. Unfortunately, I was not able to take any photos of any of their work, because it's all hidden and cannot be seen. I mistakenly started at the big blue and yellow store and their car audio apprentice techs are not experienced enough. My appointment was cancelled twice- and I was told straight up that my install was too difficult...??? I went to Static which is where I should have started and they took care of the install. Don't make my mistake and go for the big blue and yellow store free install. Mike warned me that my car has a dash part that is infamous for breaking, he left it up to me to decide if I wanted to proceed. He did tell me they were readily available online and not hard to get. During the install they were able to remove three of the pieces but one did break. No biggie- I ordered the replacement for $18 and went back to Static Audio, he replaced it within minutes. I had the pleasure of meeting Mike, JR, and Josh when I went to their store/shop today. The radio in my car stopped working, and I was referred to Mike. I explained what my radio wasn't doing, and after looking at it, Mike explained my options: remove it and send it back to see if the manufacturer could fix it or replace it. Mike discussed the costs with me and made his recommendation. Since the radio was old, it made more sense to replace the aftermarket radio I had. I was referred to Mike by a friend of mine. I purchased a used Lexus SUV for my wife that did not have a back up camera I thought it would be great to upgrade her stereo and have the back up camera on the stereo as well. We went in and met with Mike, who is a great guy, but we didn't know what her options were with car stereos. While discussing what we wanted and our budget, I felt we kept getting vague answers. There was not a big selection of stereos (which I completely understand due to supply chain issues), but I felt that he kept throwing it back on us, saying he can install whatever we like. We finally decided on a stereo which I thought hand wireless "Apple CarPlay" , but when we got the car back after installation I found this little plug hanging from the bottom. I asked what it was and he said 'that is used for Apple CarPlay'. We went back and forth about the wire cause it was my understanding that it was wireless (again, due to vague answers). I told him that I would like to upgrade, but I can't spend too much more money to get the wireless CarPlay and til this day we have not heard back (the job was done in April or May). On top of that, the plug that we use for CarPlay is not charging out phone (that was his selling point, that it charges the phone while you're using car play). On top of THAT, the car stereo resets the time and date every time you start and stop the car. On top of THAT! The charger that is plugged into the cigarette lighter is no longer charging our phone. So we officially cannot charge our phone in that car. Lastly, the microphone they installed doesn't work that well and my wife is now using speaker phone instead of her Bluetooth when she is making phone calls in the car. Sorry, but I feel like this has been a disaster of an experience. I see all the good reviews, and I may be a one off, but there are way too many issues that are not resolved and when my wife took the car the last time, barely anything was done to fix them. read more

I bought a used car with a great radio. Problem was I couldn't get the Bluetooth to sync. It said the parking break was not engaged even though it was. The owner told me that the last owner put in a hidden switch (which I looked for and couldn't find) to bypass the parking break. He told me I can work it with the switch and didn't charge me. I told him to do the job properly and install an extra usb cord from the radio (since it had an extra slot available) for his honesty. Now my radio works with the parking break and my friends can charge their phone when I'm charging mine. Straight up honest guy, good work. I would gladly do business with Static again. read more
