Stopped in to grab a baby shower card. This store is conveniently located by my house. I love that O can walk to it if needed. This store is very clean and bright. I will say, I don't like the lighting in fruits and veggies because it's hard to tell if the quality of the them is good and when you get under natural lighting sometimes the fruit is not up to par. The store manager here is amazing. He's professional and kind. I love that he greets his customers when on the floor. It's important because he represents the company more than anyone. I usually only grocery shop here when there's something on sale I want. Although, quality is good, it's more expensive than some places. But I definitely come for sales or when I need convenience. They do have a full deli, sushi bar, bakery, and meat counter. I love full service stores! read more

I just had the worst service ever at this location. I asked for cash back in order to play lotto. The cashier, who identified herself as the manager stated that she did not have change for large bills. I asked if she could call for it and she stated she was the only manager present and her guy was on break. I told her I wanted to play lotto and the machine does not take large bills. She said "well you can ask the other register." I said you are not going to check. No one was in line behind so she reluctantly asked the other cashier. At this point I walk over to get change and overhear a comment about me. So I go back and ask for the cashier name. With her back to me she said something so I proceeded to step one step closer and ask again. She said why do you need my name, I stated because I am going to call the manager in the morning. At this point she said I'm the manager. I said no the store manager. She then said we'll you are making me uncomfortable so I won't give you my name. I said really you are not going to give me your name. She then stated I was harassing her. I proceeded to leave with my family. All of this occurred in front of my wife and 5 year old child. I miss having a Stater Brothers close by. They make the best sandwiches. They are yummy!! The salami and pepperoni with pickle are delicious. Stater brothers was the only place I could find Del Monte sweet pickle relish and sweet pickles. Unfortunately Del Monte sold their recipe to Gedney foods so I figured while I was visiting Cali I'd check out some old grocery haunts to see if they carried it and sadly they do not. read more

This review is specially for the bakery counter & specifically for the work of their main cake decorator Nathalie! I came with an idea that wasn't necessarily in their cake design book. It was a simple idea and Nathalie went above and beyond to give me some input of how she can make it come to life! She made two beautiful "under the sea" style cakes, so cute I didn't want to cut it!! One was even boy theme and the other girl theme. Of course we did cut the cake, and might I add the cake was even delicious! We got so much compliments for the cake & I definitely spread the word about Nathalie's design and my interaction with her. I went to order in the deli area where you Mac n cheese. The older lady that worked there seemed annoyed and bothered every time I asked for a pound of an item. First she didn't greet I had to greet her. When I asked for the items I wanted she kept making a ughh sound under her breath and rolling her eyes. She already had approached us with an annoyed attitude. We were very friendly and not bothersome to her and respectful. I'm not sure what her deal is if it's just she had a bad day or didn't want to be there I get working in a customer service area can be annoying at times but the store was not busy. If she had personal matters that were ruining her day didn't mean she had to act that way. Also the food we felt was a waste of us buying it ended up tasting rubbery and was not chewable. It just did not taste edible how they made the food. But please if a customer is coming with a good attitude towards you and just trying to lighten things up for you don't return the attitude with unfriendliness. This is the Staters closest to me and I have to say how great all the employees here are. But I wanted to take the time to recognize a young man in the meat department, Christopher. I stop at the store, literally every other day and every time I go to the meat department he is so helpful and has the best attitude. So many times when you go into stores and you need help the employees look irritated or let it be known that you are interrupting something they're working on and this NEVER happens with him!! Today I had a pretty rough day, and all I was looking forward to was a caprese sandwich from the deli section... They were all sold out but Cynthia, the store manager and one other manager worked all together to make me one from scratch... Dear Stater Bros, I had an issue with my wedding cake order on Saturday, November 13 that I placed two weeks in advance. The Bakery Manager called me two and half hours before I was supposed to pick up my order advising me that she did not have the materials to make the wedding cake. She went into detail explaining there was a buttercream shortage. I was provided the option of whip cream but due to limitations I did not have the option of refrigeration so I asked if she could call another location to transfer my order. I was advised she would call but due to the late notice they might not be able accommodate but she would let me know. The Bakery Manager called me an hour later advising that the cake would be made at the Rialto location with buttercream. I was given the steps to come back to Bloomington Stater Bros to get a refund then go to the Rialto location to pick up the wedding cake and pay for the cake. I picked up the wedding cake and took it to the event around 6pm when I opened the box the wedding cake was edible. When I looked to see what caused the issue there was no cake dowel rods or support to hold up the cakes from each other. I was so disappointed with the overall experience Stater Bros provided. From low customer service to an incorrectly made cake. When I called the store manager on Monday morning, I was advised he could reissue the refund, but I had to bring back the cake. I tossed the cake away at the venue because the only way it could have been served was with a spoon. I ended up going to another store that was not Stater Bros and getting one off the shelf to replace the wedding cake. I am writing this statement since the store manager needs proof or a paper trail why a credit should be issued. Again, another thing taking up my time for Stater Bros issue. I recommend you train your employees to check their supplies when they first get in to make sure they have the materials they need to for fill their orders for the day and next. I can't believe it took the day of at 11:30am PST to receive a call to advise they did not have the materials they needed to for fill a wedding cake order. Also, please call the Rialto location and advise them of their misstep so this does not happen to another customer. read more

Today I went to staters in Bloomington & had to nag my on groceries they told I could no longer bring in my bags I had to buy more bags because of the virus. This location is my home store . I have shopped here for many years . I love that their displays are always nicely decorated with their current promotions , their produce section always has the best quality fruits & vegetables and it includes a stand of all organic products also. I do shop here at least 2-3x a week and no matter what I always see the same familiar faces . Everyone is always helpful especially Francisco & Jesus In the produce section and I believe they both also work the Check Stand also . Overall , all the staff employed at this location are absolutely phenomenal. They are beyond helpful always , the store has very fair pricing to match with their other competitors, the displays and promotions are always up to date with their advertising. I have no complaints. The store is very neat & tidy .. and clean compared to those knock off stores such as El super or Cardenas .. Superior where there are flies buzzing around their Meat Dept. Is a huge health concern of mine and good quality. Make sure to check the dates on your meat. I purchased a 2 pound package of ground beef on 7/6/22. On 7/9/22 I opened up the fridge and immediately smelled rotten meat. That was the only meat in the fridge so when I looked at date on the package it said it was processed 6/10/22 and must be used by 7/2/22! Which means it was already expired when I purchased it. I have never had this issue with any other Stater Bros. and Stater's is the only store I shop at so I didn't think I needed to look at the date. I won't ever shop at this one again but I will make sure to check dates wherever I shop. read more

I started shopping with my family at this stater bros about 13 years ago, and now that I do my own grocery shopping, I can see why we never preferred to go else where. This store is absolutely fantastic. It's always so organized, nice, and clean. Apart from always having fresh produce and a great deli section, their customer service is the best there is. The managers Jesus, Aaron, and Shakeith truly go above and beyond for their customers. Whether it's having to help you look for a product, checking other stores to see if they have what you need in stock, and just greeting you with a smile and a "hey how's it going?" every time they walk by you makes it a great environment and makes me feel like they want my business. Especially during this pandemic all the workers have managed to keep everything calm and very well structured. Something else I love about this store is how fast check out is! the lines move extremely quick because there's always so many registers open, which is not something you see often at other places.
