The person working was absolutely fabulous, friendly and informative. Taking a look around I noticed several jars of single herbs and an abundance of blended herbal teas carefully blended for supporting self-healing. There were also CBD products, handcrafted knit items, tea accessories, candles, jewelry, ritual items and an assortment of supplements. They have daily yoga classes that are by donation. There are a few comfy arm chairs and an abundance of reference books on hand. I am very happy to see such a delightful, friendly place in town and will stop in whenever I come to the area for a visit.

I ended up getting a spicy chicken sandwich with fries which was marked as a favorite on their menu. The chicken on the sandwich was dry and lacked flavor in my opinion. The fries were not good at all. The atmosphere and location however is great. The restaurant itself is really nice and clean and would be a chill spot for drinks and hanging with friends. They have a pool table, darts, and other games to play which was cool. The service was great and had no issues with the service. If you're a foodie, this probably isn't the spot to go to, but if you're looking for drinks and a good spot, this place is for you.

It was a nice night, so we opted to sit outside. Our server was great, came out with menus, and waters, then took our drink, and food order. I went with the Ahi Tuna taco - which was very generously portioned, full of tuna, avocado, pineapple, and a wasabi mayo. The taco shell was made from a puffed rice - I did not pick this up and eat it like a taco, but instead elected to eat it with a fork. Quite delicious. My husband had the salmon bowl, which came with rice, avocado, and asparagus, which he said was really good. We will absolutely be back when in the area again!

Prices have been raised and what once was included in a hibachi lunch is now extra. Yeah, so they raised the prices a couple bucks on all entrees BUT now you DO NOT get soup, salad or the yum yum sauce included - it is all ala carte. So that couple bucks extra is for MUCH less. If you want what you once got included you will pay +$2 per entree and then +$3.50 for the salad, +$2.50 for onion soup (the yum yum was extra too, but we didn't get it so now sure on pricing). $8 price increase for the hibachi lunch! OUTRAGEOUS!!! Now that was annoying enough, but the quality was lower too! The light japanese fried rice is now loaded down with onions (not the light leeks that once speckled it). My chicken was tough. The hubby's filet was tender, but something changed with it too because he said it just wasn't the same. The veggie mix was kind of light too and filled with bok choy - which is fine, but I don't want a pile of cabbage as my side. They do not emphasize the changes. They are simply whited out on the menu. It is a great disappointment to a once beloved place. I am sure the once or twice a year my mother comes we might stop in, but it is out of our rotation. Too expensive and not as good as it once was.

It was a beautiful morning- nice and clear and crisp. The drive was about an hour and a half from Denver down Colorado 115, but because we all like to talk, the drive seemed to not take long at all. Penrose is a tiny town just 15 miles outside of Canon City, and apparently it is the apple capital of Colorado. In the distance of a mile we saw 4 orchards lined up along the dirt road, interspersed with barns and horse pastures. We passed by all the others to get to Third Street, and are so glad we did. First of all, their orchard is medium sized, but it is by no means over-picked. There was a bountiful crop of apples just waiting to be picked. And so many varieties! The honeycrisps had all been picked :( but there were plenty of gala, yellow and gold delicious, Mcintosh, and many more. They also give you those nice, round wooden tubs lined with a thick plastic bag to put your apples in. When you pay and go home, they simply take the plastic bag out of the tub. And their store, though small, sells preserves, syrups, soaps, and cider. I really wanted a bar of apple soap and the cookbook they publish that provides recipes for everything they grow - pumpkins, apples, and peaches. That way I know what to make with my bountiful produce! The owners are super-friendly and even invited us to come back with a picnic and sit in the orchard, even if we didn't buy anything! After all, next to eating fresh-off-the-tree apples, our favorite part of our visit was sitting in the shade and listening to the wind in the trees. A really, really great way to spend an afternoon, and I'm sure we'll be back. It was perfect for family bonding. I really can not say enough nice things about this place. My one word of advice would be to skip all the orchards you pass on the way and come straight here. The other orchard we went to was Ferrara's Happy Apples, which was way too commercialized, crowded, and over-picked. Choose Third Street Apples, instead. You won't be disappointed.
