The salesman Ben was a pleasure to work with. No high pressure bull crap, just quick answers to all my initial questions with no foxy pauses to consult with the manager or finance team. I felt like I was working with a neighbor and that he was on my side. I even decided to consider a second vehicle mid-negotiations and Ben was great about it and listened carefully to my concerns that I was worried about a 2-wheel drive car in New England winters. We landed on the Sonata and I took it for a test drive. My initial impressions of the car were very high. But 4 days and 400 miles later I am in love with the car. I have been fortunate enough to own many expensive vehicles in my lifetime including the truck I also presently own which is a high luxury vehicle costing over 3 times the price of my Sonata. I can say so far that at any price the Sonata is one of the most comfortable and best performing vehicles I have owned. It is very futuristic. The interior especially feels like a gaming cockpit and the seats are as comfortable as any expensive gaming chair. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. I will update this review as the years go by to further expand on my experience but so far I could not be happier with my 2025 Hyundai Sonata and the entire team at McFarland Hyundai

I went into the dealership the next day armed with a write-up from my husband of what I should and should not take for my trade, a sale price on the Cross Cab, etc. He felt, because I am a woman and was going alone, I should be prepared to fight! The beautiful automobile was ready at my appointment time. I knew I wanted the car. Stephen James was wonderful to work with and with his associate, Trish, came back with a deal even better than what my husband had outlined. I was warned though that the bank may not finance the entire deal on a 2011 car. They didn't. Stephen called me to let me know and informed me they had up'd what they'd given me on my trade to lessen the blow. I didn't even ask for more on my trade!!! Unheard of. Finance Director, Geoff Garden, was professional, easy to work with, and no pressure. This was an easy, more than fair, no hassle transaction. My family, friends, co-workers and everyone I know will be encouraged to buy all of their cars here. I know I will. But I plan on keeping this beauty for a while. Within weeks of owning the vehicle, I was forced to pay $1,410.24 out-of-pocket for repairs--this included replacing the 12V auxiliary battery, fixing suspension issues that caused noticeable clicking noises during driving, and replacing both the cabin and HEPA filters. These are not minor wear-and-tear items and, in my view, should have been identified during a proper pre-sale inspection. Tesla's diagnostic report noted that the 12V battery was near the end of its life, something detectable through standard offboard diagnostics. The suspension issue--caused by dry half shafts--resulted in a $760 repair. This was a very obvious mechanical problem, and it's deeply concerning that it wasn't caught before sale, especially since Ira Pre-Owned claimed the suspension and shocks met NH state inspection standards. While I understand that I purchased the vehicle "as-is," I expected a reasonable level of diligence, especially from a dealership that confidently resold my clean, certified BMW trade-in. To their credit, the dealership acknowledged the filter concerns and provided a discount for those. ( $100 dollars that I never got) But the larger, more critical mechanical issues were overlooked--and I'm now left footing the bill. I've reached out privately with the full Tesla invoice and am hoping the dealership will take another look at the situation. I believe a fair resolution is still possible, but as of now, I would caution others to be extremely thorough when buying from Ira Pre-Owned.

Scott and his wife have built an outstanding business and reputation, and on top of that they are a great part of our community. I've taken multiple cars to Scott's, with multiple issues ranging from basic maintenance (brakes, oil changes, etc.) to major issues (collision repair and the like) and I would never bring my car anywhere else. I also have a 1972 Chevy Nova that Scott has worked on over the past 5 years. I brought it to Scott initially based on word-of-mouth, and I'll tell you that I've never met anyone that knows more about classic autos, let alone autos in general. That car is like a baby to me, and I wouldn't bring it anywhere else. At this point, I hand Scott the keys and tell him to do whatever he thinks needs to be done and I'll bring the check when he tells me he's done. Not only is he extremely fair (I actually told him several times he's too fair!) but he treats the work on that car and my other vehicles as though he were doing the work for himself or his family.
