I have been here twice as a client (for my initial piece and then a touch up) and have had nothing but great experiences. I've lived around the area and have gone with others for pieces before Daniel and his wife took over the shop. I like the changes they've made to the place. The shop is easy to get ahold of, you can call, DM them on Instagram, or I think even message them on Facebook. I've called and messaged them on Instagram and the response time for their reply is usually within an hour or two at most. Everyone there is easy to talk to and relaxed. The shop is a clean and calm environment. Daniel is a hilarious human being and will make sure you're confident with the piece before he starts. Nice place, cool artists and very clean too. I lost my virginity here... being my first time, I was nervous. The thought of it going through me freaked me out... I was imagining mass amounts of pain, blood and to be unceremoniously kicked out of the room with a "thanks, it was fun" after the deed was done, inevitably taking the dreaded walk of shame to my car as people laughed at the tears in my eyes. BTW... I'm talking about piercings, getcha mind outta the gutter (-_-) It took about 30 minutes in all. Paperwork was about 5 minutes, setting up the equipment was another 5, then idle chit chat and 'how to care for' took up another 24.5 minutes. The piercing(eyebrow) took about 15 seconds including cleaning(before), clamping and actual needle through eyebrow which was like half a second of... "meeeerp!!!" followed by my eyes tearing up as if I just watched that scene in 'White Fang' where Jack throws rocks at the wolf or 'Dances with Wolves' where Two Socks gets shot :'( Blah... tangent... evasive maneuvers... Anyway, Jordan was who did my piercing. She was awesome, friendly, answered any of my crazy little 'what if I...?' questions and gave detailed yet concise instructions for cleaning and care for my new piercing. She was also very cool about letting me know what exactly this whole piercing thing will entail besides "stick a needle through ___" which is all I knew about piercings. There's clamps and cleaning and marking stuff and looking twice at it... hell I though they'd bring out a survey team any second. OK, in all seriousness though, what I'm trying to get across is PRECISION... not just prick it and stick it. I couldn't be happier with my choice to go to Sure Fire and am very glad to have gotten Jordan as the one to give my piercing cherry to... she even gave me her hours and number to call in case I needed to talk (about the piercing). I'll be going back for more... maybe touch up some of my tattoos before summer, or get a new one. SYOY read more

We love this place! My hubby and I always see Daniel. My piece is unfinished as I just haven't had the opportunity to come back in to get it colored, but I will eventually go in to get it finished. My hubby has an appointment next week to get his second tattoo done by Daniel. All of our pieces are pretty large and do take multiple visits, but it's always worth it! All of the staff is friendly and always willing to talk about our pieces and ideas. We love that Daniel takes our ideas and sketches and makes them his own! We always end up with a unique piece that gets lots of attention from people that we meet. I definitely recommend this tattoo parlor to our friends when we hear someone is looking for a new tattoo artist. read more

Look at my profile pic. This is what Johno tattooed on me. Look how un-detailed this lion is. He only does flat traditional work anything else he is at best sub-par in. He got upset with me when I told him I didn't like his sketch and the lion looked nothing like the winged lion on the Venice flag which is what the actual tattoo I wanted. He changed everything the way he wanted; the way the head is turned, the sword angle, didn't put the rocks underneath, tail was wrong, sword is totally crooked, the mouth is OPEN, 0 detail in the eyes, body proportion is way off. I told him all this and he gets mad at me. Then the tattoo he just slapped the stencil on with no time for the correct placement. He gave me this shitty lion that took 1 hour. Then charged me $300. Worst part is. HE GAVE ME 2 LEFT HANDS, then I have to come back and get it fixed. Also ears were pointed and lions have round ears tigers have pointed ears. He didn't do any research and tattooed this garbage on me. I have spent 2 sessions getting it fixed at another shop. I regret going here more than mostly anything I done in my life. Johno is wack and ill love to smack him for this awful tattoo and got mad at me when i told him what to change on the stencil and didn't tattoo anything that resembled the Venice flag then told me $300 i cant speak for anyone else in the shop but B-Distinct Tattoo is 100x better than this. The guy takes his time and when you pay $300 thats the quality you get not Johnos flat unfinished traditional pieces. read more

Hands down best tattoo shop in the area. Very clean and friendly. I've been getting tattooed at surefire since moving to the area a few years ago. So glad my friends and coworkers recommended this place to me. I get my work done by Joey and the owner Johnno. Johnno did an amazing cherry blossom tree side piece with a map of the continents hidden within the branches and Joey just finished an awesome gypsy sugar skull thigh piece on me, amongst other smaller tattoos (including my wedding band). Johnno is known for his Japanese work, and Joey for his traditional work- although they are in no way limited to just these styles. Definitely the place you want to go to if you want a true custom piece of art as a tattoo. read more

Overlooked often. Great tattoos, passionate artists, wonderful company. Two years ago I got my first tattoo done at an Autism benefit that they do, yearly I believe. Being that my younger brother is autistic, it was something that pulled at my heart strings immediately. Aside from the fact that I was already emotionally attached. Joey made me very comfortable with the idea of my first tattoo. I came with a simple idea and he gave suggestions and listened to my concerns. The outcome was much greater than expected. That same day, my dad started his half sleeve and finished last month at his own pace. We have been very pleased with the creative artistry and advise everyone to give credit where credit is due. I visited over the weekend. The place is very clean. They have their awards displayed along with a lot of what looks like Chinese masks. Each artist has their own semi private booth. Its not a ceiling to floor wall, but more like a half wall. Still very clean and very professional. Danny did my tattoos and they came out amazing! I couldnt be more happy. While I was between tattoos, I looked around at his artwork, he is very talented and very easy to work with. He is honest as to what works and what doesnt and will give you his recommendations. I even got an idea for touch up and enlargement for one of my husbands tattoo. When he is ready to get it done I will most definitely recommend him to Surefire and Danny. read more

I honestly can't say enough positive things about Joey. I walked into the shop in January with an idea (a cherry blossom branch with 107 full flowers and falling petals to represent the 107 pounds I need to lose to get to my goal weight), and Joey jumped in and accepted the challenge. Deposit made, work started a month later. The first 2.5 hour session was the entire outline. A month later, some scattered color. Another month, more color, and a rework of a Tinkerbell tattoo I had on my shoulder near the new work. Another month, more color. I currently have 58 flowers filled in that will all eventually be colored when I lose all 107 pounds (I'm still working hard at it!!). Since then, I've sent my next door neighbor to Joey for a touch up on one of her tattoos, and a new tattoo. She's also going back for a custom phoenix. And my husband just had the most amazing pinup inked on his leg by Joey two weeks ago. He's amazing!
