Ancient Ink is by far the best tattoo parlor in all of Northwest Indiana if not the entire state. The staff is friendly, they know their craft and all are extrememly talented. The work with you on what your design, help you to get the exact design that you want and make certain it is executed with precision and finesse. Jake Hinkle has personally done my tattoo and several for my daughter and my son. His work is impeccable. The rest of the staff is courteous, friendly, and they all go out of their way to make you feel comfortable ... even joking around to put you at ease. The shop is immaculate. I have recommended many people to seek out the artist at Ancient Ink if they are looking for high quality work and no one has ever been disappointed with their tattoo or the service that they received. Keep up the good work!! read more

Great people and great art! I've known Jeff for over 15 yrs and I know he and his staff do it RIGHT! Customer oriented, friendly and dedicated to treating the client properly. Jeff, Cindy, Jake and Jeremy put YOU first. As firemen and EMT's they are on top of the latest information and put into practice that which keeps their clients safe. Do yourself a favor and visit.....you might come in a client but you will leave as a friend. My husband and I have such high regard for Jeff and his wife that they are regular guest artists in our studio, Tattoo Hawaii, in Honolulu and will join us at our booth in Reno this spring for the National Tattoo Assn. Convention. read more

Jeff has done two of my tattoos and they are absolutely beautiful. Both times I went to him with an idea and he drew up the designs himself and I came back to have them done. During the tattoo process, both him and Cindy were extremely personable, I have heard alot of their stories about Hawaii and tattoo shows. I will absolutely return to this shop for any future work. My 18 year old just had her 1st done by them as well. Jeremy has done all my piercings, even answering questions by text about after care with no complaint. I continue to recommend Ancient Ink to all my friends. read more

I have several tattoos done by both Jeff and Cindy Groom. All of them still look AMAZING! I also got a tongue piercing there. I have never met a more professional shop. It is CLEAN and on a level that is unparrelleled. I have never felt more comfortable, and I love how accomodating the staff can be. They have traveled in order to help clients that are not nearby have access to them. As far as cost, they are the most reasonable shop I have ever been to!!! Why go anywhere else when you can see the best and have great art to show off for the rest of your life! read more

All FOUR of my daughters have gotten tattoos at this shop!! The first time we went in there, I was impressed by the cleanliness and the personal attention we received. We told Jake what they wanted, he DREW it up, after approving the drawing it was tattooed. They followed his explicit instructions for after care and the tattoos are beautiful, such vibrant color. I am considering getting my first tattoo,a mothers knot to match my daughters celtic sisters knot, and would not go anywhere else!! read more
