i came into this shop today, my 18th birthday, because i got my cartilage done here 5 years ago on my 13th and absolutely loved it. i came with my family to get my nose and navel pierced today, and it was horrible. the second we walked in, i felt like we weren't welcome and like we were bothering the workers? nobody had acknowledged us at all and they were super short, i didnt even get any care instructions. the girl who pierced my nose was super rough and told me that i "couldn't get my navel pierced because my belly button folds too much" but i had gone to another shop less than 10 minutes later who said it wasn't a problem at all. i feel like she just didn't want to do the piercing, and considering my navel hurt LESS than my nose at a different shop, im honestly thankful she "couldn't." read more

Came in randomly with my sister and cousin on a Friday night to get our noses pierced. We had our temperatures checked and filled out COVID-19/piercing consent form via online. Picked out the jewelry and got the piercings. The staff was really helpful and kind! They were playing good music. Very personable. Very professional. And everything was cleaned and sanitized. If I can give you guys a 0 stars I would. I made an appointment with someone from their 2 years ago in September now. And the women I talked to said I didn't need an appointment for a tattoo but I wanted to make 1 with you guys. When we meaning my mom and my friend and I went into the shop it smelled bad. The guy who came out to talk to me was weird. He said I didn't have an appointment today when I did as I showed him on my cell phone recent calls. He said I was to old to get my 1st tattoo at 30. Which was rude to say that I was the paying costumer. So I went to another shop called Marcdup tattoos their I was a walk in and their shop doesn't smell bad at all. I took my oldest daughter here 7 years ago when she turned 16 and getting your belly button pierced was the thing to do (pick your battles). We had a great experience there, so fast forward to now when the younger kid needs a piercing...I was happy to see they're not only still around but still have awesome reviews. My younger daughter had her ears pierced twice before, once as a baby and again in junior high. Both times I had them done at Claire's in the mall (I know, I know...I was a young mom and didn't know any better at the time). Both times they closed up quickly even after having the studs in for several months. I wasn't messing around this time - she's 19 and wanted them done right. We came into Body by Design and immediately noticed how clean it was. Everyone was super nice and the girl who pierced my daughter's ears did an awesome job. It's been 23 days since my Industrial Bar piercing done by Amber. The bar looks great and did not get infected by following her directions on proper care. Amber was knowledgeable and answered all my questions with reassurance. She was able to keep me comfortable as I was really nervous about not just one, but two piercings in my cartilage. She was talking to me as she pierced, which in my head I thought was going to be worse than it was. The location was really clean and from what I saw there were a lot of repeat customers which kept me at ease. I went in the other night to have my nose pierced. It was my first time there. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The shop was very clean and I love that they have separate rooms so your experience isn't shared with everyone. There were other customers in the waiting area but Amber came to get me for my piercing not too long after I arrived. She was extremely nice, answered every question I had, and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The placement of the nostril piercing was absolutely perfect. She had me check her mark before proceeding and she had it exactly where it should go. She was also very helpful regarding aftercare and assistance I may need once it heals. I went to Body By Design for my tattoo. Kris Cagle did an excellent job! He worked with me on the design and placement. I knew going into it that I would be a baby but I quickly learned I have a weaker pain tolerance than I anticipated. Kris was awesome letting me know where he was at in the process and making me feel completely comfortable to take breaks as needed. The shop is easy to get to, clean, and has privacy. I did the outline in 1.5 hours and went back for a 2 hour color session after the outline healed a bit. I still plan to go back in a few weeks to touch up the details as I mentioned before that I was not the ideal customer, but Kris is understanding and cool with me breaking up the process into multiple sittings. Its been just over a week since the color was completed and I have no more scabbing and it looks great! I have gotten tons of compliments on it. When I decide on my next tattoo I will absolutely be contacting Kris! read more

This place sucks under new management. I waited 45 minutes before an employee even approached me to ask how I could be helped. On top of that, they couldn't even help me with my piercing needs because they have a tattoo artist filling in as a "piercer". Amber and Emma made this a five star establishment. With Amber gone, Emma hardly being there, and new management, this place has gone down hill so fast. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere. I went to Body By Design over a year ago for a piercing by Derrick. He is really nice and easy to talk to and he was able to answer all of my questions. Overall it was a nice experience. Quick and easy considering what I was getting done. The reason I give Body By Design only 3 stars is because the placement of the piercing is off slightly. Just barely enough off center that if I let it heal up and get it done again, it wouldn't be worth it. Also, the quality of the jewelry could be better. On Friday May 20th 3 of my cousins and myself walked into this shop on the recommendation of some locals. Two of us were from the area and the other two of us (one being myself) are from out of state. If your looking to get your navel pierced- avoid this place at all costs. My navel wasn't even pierced- my stomach was! Long story short the piercing rejected. I went to get another opinion at Native Rituals to see if I could get it again and the employee took so much time to look at my scar and he was 100% honest and said that the scar wasn't ready. He marked where the piercing should have been originally because it was placed wrong in the beginning. Really regret going here :( read more
