I'm only 19 and ONLY have gone to this tattoo shop. D has been the only artist to put any ink on my body, and he will continue to be the only artist. His work is out of this world alongside his professionalism and maintenance of his store. It's a nice little shop with other employees who always greet me when I enter the shop as well. The quality is 100% worth the price and D has a customer for life with me. 10/10 read more

i came into this shop today, my 18th birthday, because i got my cartilage done here 5 years ago on my 13th and absolutely loved it. i came with my family to get my nose and navel pierced today, and it was horrible. the second we walked in, i felt like we weren't welcome and like we were bothering the workers? nobody had acknowledged us at all and they were super short, i didnt even get any care instructions. the girl who pierced my nose was super rough and told me that i "couldn't get my navel pierced because my belly button folds too much" but i had gone to another shop less than 10 minutes later who said it wasn't a problem at all. i feel like she just didn't want to do the piercing, and considering my navel hurt LESS than my nose at a different shop, im honestly thankful she "couldn't." read more

My 15 year old got her ears pierced here this weekend after a botched job at Claires a few years ago. We walked in at 3pm, filled out a quick form and ears were pierced by 315. Price point was good and the piercing was quick and painless. read more

Overall, great experience! Everyone was professional. Establishment was clean with a great vibe. My daughter went in for a piercing and Michelle was great. Overall 10/10 experience. read more

My family of 5 had an appointment with Andi and she was phenomenal! She was nice and very accommodating and our tattoos came out great! On the other hand, Dimitrius tried to lecture me and shame me in front of the entire shop for not choosing him to tattoo us after a few unconfirmed Instagram messages. So upset at the way he treated me in the shop. So if you go, Andi is definitely the person to pick! read more

This place is dope. They took 3 of my friends walk in tattoos & a daith piercing for myself. They were so nice & did amazing work! Thanks guys! read more

Thoroughly disappointed by the lack of professionalism. After i was unable to make my appointment the artist posted our conversation and felt the need to call me an entitled client. 0/10 customer service. Sad it didn't workout but wouldn't want to give a business that conducts / allows this type of behavior to do my work. read more

Came in randomly with my sister and cousin on a Friday night to get our noses pierced. We had our temperatures checked and filled out COVID-19/piercing consent form via online. Picked out the jewelry and got the piercings. The staff was really helpful and kind! They were playing good music. Very personable. Very professional. And everything was cleaned and sanitized. My first nose piercing hurt (done years ago) but this one wasn't bad at all. prices were very reasonable. I'll be back in October for another piercing. read more

If I can give you guys a 0 stars I would. I made an appointment with someone from their 2 years ago in September now. And the women I talked to said I didn't need an appointment for a tattoo but I wanted to make 1 with you guys. When we meaning my mom and my friend and I went into the shop it smelled bad. The guy who came out to talk to me was weird. He said I didn't have an appointment today when I did as I showed him on my cell phone recent calls. He said I was to old to get my 1st tattoo at 30. Which was rude to say that I was the paying costumer. So I went to another shop called Marcdup tattoos their I was a walk in and their shop doesn't smell bad at all. All of the artist their are talented and we're not disrespectful to me at all. Jon at Marcdup is better than everyone in your shop. Jon gets all my business now. read more

This shop is getting all my stars **** From the moment that I walked in Kris was on point. I knew this was the place that was going to do my 1st tattoo. I was very pleased with the atmosphere and the friendly staff. I feel so relaxed and at ease about getting my tattoo I had really forgot that this was my 1st. Kris talked to me and next thing I know he was just about done I'm so please with the work that soon as I got in my car I was thinking about what can I get next. Now that's great Service..So if you are looking for a very good place them give this place a try. Its plenty of parking right in front. I was told that you can come in as a walk in. And you will really like how they do body piercings. Thank you so much for your great work well done Kris. read more

It's been 23 days since my Industrial Bar piercing done by Amber. The bar looks great and did not get infected by following her directions on proper care. Amber was knowledgeable and answered all my questions with reassurance. She was able to keep me comfortable as I was really nervous about not just one, but two piercings in my cartilage. She was talking to me as she pierced, which in my head I thought was going to be worse than it was. The location was really clean and from what I saw there were a lot of repeat customers which kept me at ease. I was shown a display of different earrings and bars, which made me choose an Industrial Piercing. I will definitely be back for more piercings as this was a piece of cake. Ask for Amber. read more

I took my oldest daughter here 7 years ago when she turned 16 and getting your belly button pierced was the thing to do (pick your battles). We had a great experience there, so fast forward to now when the younger kid needs a piercing...I was happy to see they're not only still around but still have awesome reviews. My younger daughter had her ears pierced twice before, once as a baby and again in junior high. Both times I had them done at Claire's in the mall (I know, I know...I was a young mom and didn't know any better at the time). Both times they closed up quickly even after having the studs in for several months. I wasn't messing around this time - she's 19 and wanted them done right. We came into Body by Design and immediately noticed how clean it was. Everyone was super nice and the girl who pierced my daughter's ears did an awesome job. They even have a sign on the wall explaining why piercing guns are a bad time. Now I know! My husband was perusing tattoo designs while he was waiting so I'm sure we will be returning for some artwork for him. Tons of choices for piercings and tattoos in the area, but you'll never regret choosing Body by Design. read more

Felt totally at ease from the second I walked in. Super nice people. Very clean and sanitary. I was super excited about the jewelry selection available! My piercer knew exactly what she was doing and I felt super safe. I'm extremely happy with my new conch piercing! read more

Had a tattoo, well actually two tattoos to cover up a scar. Very pleased with the outcome. Kris when I entered. He was very professional and calming. He duplicated a temporary tattoo I had done while on vacation and did an excellent job. I was concerned when I entered that I may have needed an appointment but I was serviced immediately. The shop was clean and the environment was comfortable. If ever I wanted another tattoo,I would return and I highly recommend Kris! read more

I went in the other night to have my nose pierced. It was my first time there. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The shop was very clean and I love that they have separate rooms so your experience isn't shared with everyone. There were other customers in the waiting area but Amber came to get me for my piercing not too long after I arrived. She was extremely nice, answered every question I had, and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. The placement of the nostril piercing was absolutely perfect. She had me check her mark before proceeding and she had it exactly where it should go. She was also very helpful regarding aftercare and assistance I may need once it heals. I'll definitely return to Amber for future piercings and I look forward to looking into the work of their tattoo artists for my next tattoo. read more

I went to Body By Design for my tattoo. Kris Cagle did an excellent job! He worked with me on the design and placement. I knew going into it that I would be a baby but I quickly learned I have a weaker pain tolerance than I anticipated. Kris was awesome letting me know where he was at in the process and making me feel completely comfortable to take breaks as needed. The shop is easy to get to, clean, and has privacy. I did the outline in 1.5 hours and went back for a 2 hour color session after the outline healed a bit. I still plan to go back in a few weeks to touch up the details as I mentioned before that I was not the ideal customer, but Kris is understanding and cool with me breaking up the process into multiple sittings. Its been just over a week since the color was completed and I have no more scabbing and it looks great! I have gotten tons of compliments on it. When I decide on my next tattoo I will absolutely be contacting Kris! read more

This place sucks under new management. I waited 45 minutes before an employee even approached me to ask how I could be helped. On top of that, they couldn't even help me with my piercing needs because they have a tattoo artist filling in as a "piercer". Amber and Emma made this a five star establishment. With Amber gone, Emma hardly being there, and new management, this place has gone down hill so fast. I'll gladly take my business elsewhere. Firehouse Tattoo's piercer has never let me down!! read more

Dimitrius was amazing and took so much time with me even though I was a walk in later on in the evening. He even had to stay after hours to finish my tattoo but still took his time and did a great job. My daughter also particularly loved his opinions on marvel and horror movies lol. Everything was clean and everyone working there was beyond friendly. Definitely recommend! read more

I had a big tattoo done on my thigh here just last night. Matt did it and I had the most amazing time. My tattoo looks incredible and it was cheaper than I had anticipated. If you're looking to get tattooed, go to body by design. The couple weeks wait is worth it. If you want a tattoo TODAY then ask for a different artist or go somewhere else. The owners are really sweet and genuine people. I was completely entertained the whole 4 hour appointment and matt is incredibly considerate. I set up another appointment as I was leaving last night. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wanted beautiful work done! Thanks guys!!! read more

I went to Body By Design over a year ago for a piercing by Derrick. He is really nice and easy to talk to and he was able to answer all of my questions. Overall it was a nice experience. Quick and easy considering what I was getting done. The reason I give Body By Design only 3 stars is because the placement of the piercing is off slightly. Just barely enough off center that if I let it heal up and get it done again, it wouldn't be worth it. Also, the quality of the jewelry could be better. Externally threaded barbells are no fun to take out and put in. read more

Hi All :) I have been to many tattoo shops all over the country, and this is by far the best one ever! And the reason are two words....MATT MUELLER! Matt not only is a cool guy, but his work is phenomenal! He is quick and extremely talented. He works Friday thru Monday, and yes, you might have to wait up to a few months to get an appointment at times. However HE IS WORTH THE WAIT! I will never let anyone else tattoo me, I will go wherever he goes. He is amazing! If you are sure about getting a tattoo, don't hesitate and make an appointment with Matt "Make It Happen" Mueller. read more

Absolutely thrilled with this place! I would highly recommend it, as it is very professional. Separate rooms for piercing and tattooing, clean and sanitary. On Friday May 20th 3 of my cousins and myself walked into this shop on the recommendation of some locals. Two of us were from the area and the other two of us (one being myself) are from out of state. We had just come in from a pretty tragic funeral service and were in our sunday best determined to get tattoos that were meaningful as well as beautiful. As walk-ins i was dubious about us actually getting in. The moment we walked in it felt like a very good vibe. We were taken in right away and Kenny did all 4 of us. Very professional and genuine, Kenny tatted all 4 of us and did an AMAZING job! I think it just might become a tradition to visit this place whenever i'm in town visiting the family! read more

If your looking to get your navel pierced- avoid this place at all costs. My navel wasn't even pierced- my stomach was! Long story short the piercing rejected. I went to get another opinion at Native Rituals to see if I could get it again and the employee took so much time to look at my scar and he was 100% honest and said that the scar wasn't ready. He marked where the piercing should have been originally because it was placed wrong in the beginning. Really regret going here :( read more

Wow, I am the first review, really? Anyway. The real gem here is their artist Matt Mueller. He is just such an AMAZING color specialist and at 24, he is so incredibly talented at what he does. You could have an idea and have no idea how it is going to look and he will just create something so beautiful you are almost angry you weren't born with it. He also uses numbing spray which, while you are in the tattoo process, is probably the greatest thing ever. It doesn't totally numb the area but it hurts considerably less. The girls who work behind the counter and do the piercing there are also very nice and awesome. My best friend got her nose and belly button done there and they were just so reassuring to her. I would actually give it four stars if we were talking about the whole shop, however. Matt, although awesome, you have to make an appointment to get and he only works Monday-Friday so if you make an appointment in July, you'll probably get work done in early September - kind of ridiculous. So if you want one RIGHT NOW, you'll have to go to one of the other artists, who are also good but just not as nice and as quick as Matt. The music they play is also very good but if you don't like pop-punk or sort of poppy rap, you might want to bring some headphones. They are also sort of expensive, but totally worth it. Five stars! I go back to Matt for every single tattoo I get. read more
