Who you work with matters…read more In August of 2024, I received a letter from my home owners insurance stating that one of my policies would be canceled on December 14th. I sent the notice to my insurance broker, whom I had used for years, and they told me they would be taking care of it as time got closer. After Thanksgiving, I contacted my broker to check in on how my new policy was coming along. They said everything was fine and sent me a policy. At the time of binding, they discovered they had been shopping for insurance for an address that is not mine and told me they had no other options for me I was panicking! I called Jeremy and Jessica Connally with Farmers insurance in Monterey. They immediately went to work (on a Friday night!) One of the issues they ran into with insuring my property was that I had to file three claims in 2023. Two of which were trees that had fallen on a rental during the storms and a burst water in another unit. I was basically uninsurable and was likely going to have to be covered under the California Fair Plan. However, Jeremy, Jessica, and their whole team spent an immense amount of time looking at every option for me. On Monday, December 11th, they had found me a policy and were able to bind coverage with just three days to spare before my insurance lapsed! I am so lucky to have been able to get to know Jessica and Jeremy professionally over the past two years because if I hadn't, this situation would have turned out a lot differently. With the way homeowners insurance is in CA right now, it absolutely matters who you work with. I promise you that these are the people that you need to be working with to give your clients, friends, and yourself the peace of mind you need in this crazy climate us Californians now find ourselves in. UPDATE: Since this experience above, they have assisted in insuring my another home of mine, my commercial auto policy, and workers comp for my business as well. Today, I went to the DMV for a renewal and transfer of title. I went into the line that was outside of the building to get to a person who tells me I can't renew my car at the DMV anymore. I could transfer my title though so I went past the door guard and got into the second line. People were sleeping on the floor in the DMV. I'm not even making that up. After 45 minutes in the second line and am given a number for the third line in which they told me the wait was going to be 2-3 hours... so I waited for an hour, the place was packed, then the straw that broke the camel's back was thus child's third fart next to me and starvation setting in. So I came to Keith and in 5 minutes paid for both cars, got both stickers and was out the door! As a non-religious person Keith's services must have been sent from some higher power!! Since leaving the corporate world to run our own business a couple of decades ago, we've had to…read morenavigate the murky waters of health insurance ourselves, and it's been a constant worry, not helped by confusing websites and questionable advice from various brokers. So, our expectations were low when we came across Goodacre's website at Calhealth.net; but as we watched Dennis Jarvis' excellent and up to date video on the Covered CA options for 2025, it was if the clouds had cleared and a ray of sunlight beamed down. We also watched an equally up to date and informative video on Medicare options, as that decision is coming up soon for one of us. I sent an email and was happily surprised to get a response from Dennis within a couple of hours with answers to all my questions and suggesting we set up a telephone meeting to talk the options through. We did, and in perhaps 20 minutes he cut through all the health insurance noise, helping us to choose the best plan and provider for us; and then guided us through the Covered CA application process on their platform in a fraction of the time and much less stress than it would have taken us to do it at coveredca.com ourselves. Long story short, we are now signed up for a plan that has better benefits and costs significantly less than our previous one; and we have a strategy outlined for the next move into Medicare. And, for the first time ever, I feel we have someone we can trust for good advice - and recommend to others.

I told her that before I did that I would like to speak to a representative in order to determine whether or not the firm offered services fitting my circumstance. She said she would connect me to a representative. Within twenty seconds the receptionist came on the line again and told me the firm was taking no new clients. I remarked that if that was the case why had she offered to set up an appointment. She said that is what she had been instructed to do. If other words, this firm seems to not want only new clients for which they can charge an initial consultation fee. Something is wrong with a tax guidance firm that won't first talk by phone with a potential customer.
