However, for an outdoor game, it was an incredible, unforgettable experience. Despite the cold, it was an amazing day. And even better that Michigan State won in overtime. It was definitely a see of blue of all, with lots of chaos and confusion from Penn state fans about where they were sitting and how to even find their seats. But, everyone was respectful. The stadium did not have much service but thankfully the bathrooms were heated. Parking was hard and easier to park further away and walk. The outdoor hockey game was definitely a unique experience and I'm so grateful I was able to attend. I would definitely be interested to attend a football game here, but of course, only if MSU was playing. Go green!

We felt welcomed and many of them thanked us for coming. One of the tailgaters even gave us shots and beer while walking towards the stadium. Stadium was under construction during the game. Made it harder to maneuver to some seating areas. Regardless of the construction, there aren't a lot of signs to help navigate the area. Entrance ticket didn't even have what gate to enter purchased seats purchased seats in section NA. There was a massive ramp to walk up to some of the seating sections. One escalator was available on the home side of the stadium. Some of the top level was setup on rafters. Port-potties were in place for that level also. I expected more screens around the concourse for it to be such a large stadium. Visitor side was packed with Penn State fans also. Stadium benches are tight and hard to enter and exit when rows are full. Might as well leave your phone in the car. . .service was very spotty. Parking: We stopped and purchased a parking pass at a gas station off the highway. I wouldn't recommend parking anywhere near the stadium. Parked in lot 44. Event staff helped waved you in. Our section was near a hill where people were getting stuck trying to park. Plenty of port-o-potties around and bags for trash. Once again there were no signs to help navigate in the lot. We ended up walking around the stadium because exit signs to specific areas were non-existent. There were no event staff in the lot assisting with exiting after the game. Took us over 2 hours to get out of the lot and to the street. Use the shuttles.

Before we could get the application in the guy in charge of the food vending is Rick Snyder and he sent us a email telling us that at this time they are not accepting any funnel cake vendors. So I guess he makes the decisions for the committee without an application. I think it is funny how he has his food trailers there and I am sure he does not want competition.

Love the types of artists. You will see art like metal sculptures, basket weaving, some steam punk, salvage artists, and traditional painters. There is typically country or 50s/60s rock played by bands. The festival is laid back. Parking is good with typically 5 buck spots at private lots. The arts and crafts at this festival are typically all over the map. But all of it is a joy to view. It is easier the navigate than the one up the road a well.

This museum works closely with students from PSU who design and implement the exhibits, so it is constantly changing. The kids liked the earthquake building designer, the flood plain, and the geology exhibit. Also, the pressurized tube and ball shooter was a hit. In all, we spent about an hour and 45 minutes exploring and playing. It is well designed, but it is on the small size. Also, it isn't the easiest place to find...look for the State College HS football field, and it is right next door. It does host birthday parties, which would be fun if we lived in the area. Overall, I'm a fan. We'll be back on future rainy visits to State College.

The Arboretum at Penn State is a beautiful green oasis just steps away from the heart of the Penn…read moreState University campus. This was actually our plan B, as we had initially wanted to stop by The Berkey Creamery for their highly ranked ice cream, but didn't feel the extremely long lines there were worth the limited time we had to spend in State College. Admission is complimentary, although there is a nominal fee for parking in the lots. It's a decent sized arboretum/garden for being located on a college campus. There was quite a few flowers in bloom during June when we visited. Depending on your level of interest, the arboretum can be navigated in 30 minutes or upwards of an hour if you're in no rush. I especially liked the viewpoint at the far end of the grounds and the children's garden seemed to be a hit amongst families. There's plenty of benches throughout the grounds to take in the beautiful surroundings. If you love green spaces & gardens, I'd recommend a visit to The Arboretum at Penn State a nice way to kill some time while visiting State College.

Everything is pristinely maintained, with something different and beautiful around each corner. Lots of signage labelling each plant and seating to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. I brought out my drawing pad and even had a few people approach asking if I was part of a drawing group -- it meets every Tuesday (I believe at 10 or 10:30am?) so I happily joined the group as they use the grounds for inspiration of whatever the weeks prompt and reconvene for a group review.

Attended a class reunion here. The pavilion was spacious enough for classmates and guests. About…read more100 people were in attendance and there was plenty of room for all of us plus the dj, food, cake table, and beverages. The grounds are very nice and kept up. Very spacious! I took a little time to read the names in the memorial wall. This is a great place for a large outdoor party. The only reason I gave three stars is because of the restrooms. They need a little help. It was fun having our reunion here. Hope I get invited to another event at the VFW picnic grounds.
