I would not recommend this business. I called ahead and had an appointment. The owner knew the make, model and year of my car and I provided all of the information he asked for prior to heading out to the appointment. He gave me a "flat fee" for the windshield replacement. It wasn't until half way through the work that he informed me that I needed to pay an extra $80 or he wouldn't give me a warranty for the work because he had found some rust. When the work was finished I gave him my credit card for payment and he said, " I was afraid you might want to pay with a card. I only take cash." I am a senior citizen and he asked me to leave my car and walk to a convenience store down the street to get cash from their ATM machine! I would not so he rode with me in my car to my bank so I could get cash. This whole experience was very stressful and unpleasant. I see no reason he couldn't have informed me upfront about only accepting cash and possible extra fees. As to the quality of the work, I will have my mechanic double check my windshield because I don't have a warranty for his work and I have no confidence in this person. I will not use this shop again and I will not recommend it to family or friends because of his questionable practices and poor customer service. read more

Best service experience. I called another company in San Diego. They told me I had to bring in the car and it would take 3-4 hours, because they had to reconfigure my windshield camera. I did not have 3-4 hours. So I looked for another company, came upon State Auto Glass. They came to my office within a hour, and completed the service with in another hour. This was about two months ago. Windshield camera works great, still beeps at me all the time when I'm to close to a car. My conclusion is that since new cars have cameras on windshields, some companies want to take advantage of insurance companies and charge more to reconfigure the camera. I just called to ask how much they would charge me for a quarter sized chip on my windshield. The guy told me in this case, they would have to replace my entire windshield. I though he misunderstood me, since he said it was "too big" to repair. I said, no, its small...it's not that big. And he still recommended I call someone else to do the repair.
