Today we received a mini 2014 calendar which is going to come in handy! Additionally, I always enjoy the hand-written note and thank you I receive from the store owner Nancy. If I lived in the area I'd be haunting and buying from her shop relentlessly. Yarns & Threads is the one place I can find Bryspun Pearl knitting needles. Not only does Nancy stock what I need their prices are supremely fair and shipping is wonderfully fair and reasonable as well. Should I ever get to Michigan I will certainly be visiting in person. They make the experience so much better. The store is filled with antiques, souvenirs, candy, greeting cards. You name it. They have just about everything. Some of my favorite things I've boughten in my entire life are from the Wishing Well. No exaggeration. I'm obsessed with my bird bath, typewriter, antique snack bowl & wall art. There are just the few of many things we've picked up there.... =) The prices are great. They even often have sections with free stuff. I always stop here first before I even go to Goodwill or St Vincent's De Paul, when I'm looking for something used and chances are they have it. For weeks I was searching the Thrift Stores for a nice book shelf & then I went into the Wishing Well & found a huge, sturdy one for only $15. I'm also convinced it's perfect for anyone looking for rustic items for a Wedding or looking to decorate a house. (PERFECT place for a housewarming gift!) I've saved the best for last......CANDY. They have theeee best candy. It's ridiculous how much people will pay for a candy bar at the Gas Station, when you can get so much more at Wishing Well.....and better quality too. The chocolate covered peanuts & blueberries are just to die for. The jordan almonds. The razzles. The bubble gum. Everything there is so delicious. I just love the Wishing Well. Definitely recommend it to all.

Cheesy, but my New Year Intention will be to revisit the yarn shop without the pressure of "this project needs this specific yarn!" hanging over my head. I was greeted immediately upon entry by two lovely folks. Sometimes in a craft shop - like a great bar - it's hard to know the employees from the comfortable regulars. The warm welcome was appreciated nonetheless. This is a quilt shop, which all of you sew-n-sews can enjoy. You have my respect, as I cannot even manage to replace a button without the fabric getting all bunchy. You crafty devils will appreciate the stock of fabrics and notions. It even got me thinking about lessons and classes. The yarn area is small but BOY! It's pretty and has a lot of my favorite brands. Sadly I had a specific project in mind and could not get my brain to make the math happen for substitutions. I will come back, buy yarn 'just because' and maybe even buy some buttons (justification to cast on for a sweater, amiright?).
