Our experience with TDC has not been a positive one…read more There are a few GREAT teachers here, but others are not very good. After 7 years of sending my three daughters to dance here, we've noticed that the instruction of TDC has gone down dramatically. * Teachers rarely start class on time, and therefore rarely end on time as well. This is difficult when you have a 35-minute drive back home... after a 9:30 pm class... and your kids need to go to school in the morning... * From January to May, all the time in classes with a recital dance is spent on recital. As a former dancer myself, I realized that there needed to be more time spent on technique training. * Class sizes are too large! 35-40 girls in a class under one teacher is unacceptable. Period. The facilities were also lacking. The studios are extremely cramped (and they are not willing to renovate). The studios are either WAY TOO HOT or freezing cold. These are among many problems. -------- We pulled our kids out of TDC two years ago. It was hard to do so with all the friends they'd made, team bonds, and contracts. It was even more difficult write this review for a business we used to love. My (now teenage) daughters now dance at another studio and could not be happier!! :) ----- Disclaimer: this review is neither endorsed, nor sponsored by TDC or other dance studios. the opinions in this review are solely mine, and are, in no way, shape, or form, influenced by others.

After 3 years of loyal service, we are completely pulling out of True Dance Co…read more My daughter started on one of the competition teams for the 2018-19 season. After 8 months of intense training and hard work (and THOUSANDS of dollars into their pockets for mandatory extra choreography classes and mandatory recreational gear) they cut my 5 year old daughter off of the team, for "bad behavior". There were no incident reports, I never had a teacher approach me after class, and I was absolutely stunned when I was informed. They pulled her in January, a week before what would have been her very first competition. This was one of my daughter's first learning experiences when it comes to peers. For a school dedicated to "teaching children", I think they failed miserably. 10/10 would not recommend.

I only have good things to say about Lincoln Children's museum. It's three stories of fun, yep…read morethree levels for you and your kiddo to enjoy. The space it clean, there's so much to do. We could've stayed here all day! The employees are friendly. I love how the play structures are Nebraska themed. And I really loved how they play Disney music on the speakers! The only thing I would critique is the parking. The museum itself is close to UNL, the university campus. Making it hard to park. There is meter parking available however there's also a ton of construction, making it easy to get lost if it's your first time visiting. Other than that -- we had a fabulous experience. I think getting a membership is worth it.

Bryan Hospital and the Lincoln Fire Department sponsor a fire truck experience in minature and health care activities. There are legos, an airplane, construction equipment and even a wooden apple tree with "apples" that fall from the tree. The prairie dog town and animal identification stations are fun too. There's a cafe of sorts that was closed when we went. The only real downside I saw was it wasn't as clean as I would expect. For example, there were cookie leftovers in the fire truck. Since we got there right at 9:00 when they opened, it seems unlikely that this was new. Someone should do a complete walkthrough before they open to make sure it's clean.
