When I got there at 5:30am I didn't leave them much time to waist, seeing how I needed to be at work at 6:00... I don't work far from this restaurant so I wasn't too panicked. When I arrived, there were no customers inside and no cars ahead of me in the drive through lane. I quickly ordered a number 5 with cheese with an orange juice. The gentleman taking my order was super polite. Even though he gave me an apple juice instead of an orange juice, it was quickly exchanged with no problem. And that's the end of the pleasantries. After I paid for my meal the cook comes to the window and as attempts to get my attention by repeating, "boss! Hey boss!". "Its gonna take like 5-6 minutes, cause I barely just dropped it in now." "Is that cool?" I reply that's fine thinking it will only be 5-6 minutes. There's no one else here... dunk the hash browns and let's go. 12 minutes later I realize if I don't leave now I'm gonna be late for work over fast food breakfast.... and so I left. No food, just an orange juice. I guess we'll just count that money as a Christmas donation to the Ronald McDonald house this year. Merry Christmas everyone.

It's clear that many of the younger employees have not been properly trained, and it really shows in both their work ethic and the way they interact with customers. If someone doesn't enjoy their job, they should find one they actually care about instead of taking it out on the people who are keeping the business running -- the customers. A simple smile, accuracy with orders, and a bit of respect go a long way. McDonald's really needs to invest in better training and management to restore even basic standards of customer service.
