We both ended up getting a flight of beers each and every one was great. The food surprised me as my fish tacos was super fresh. The chips and queso was also great. They just do them all very slowly or at least they did when I was there. We came here on a Monday evening, and it was somewhat busy but there were visible empty tables and a couple spots at the bar. We went to the bar and waited awhile before the bartender asked what we wanted. I didn't ask for a flight because he seemed too busy. Whatever I wanted they were out of, but I ended up with an Imperial 16-point IPA which was quite tasty. I also got some chicken nachos, but I had to go stand in line to order them. They were adequate but not worth the wait. The place was very disorganized. They had workers always standing by the hostess desk, but the bartender was overwhelmed. Seemed like they should have had more than one, after all it is a brewery. Would have loved to try more beer but we just left and went back into Lexington for another round at another place. It was a beautiful fall evening and there were a good number of people enjoying both the outdoor and indoor spaces. We took a place in line and ultimately I chose a pint of the Bareback Bronco IPA. We love good swag so we made our way to look at the offerings. My wife quickly commented on their cute and clever designs which are printed on soft, comfortable cotton shirts, hoodies, etc. They also had a good selection of assorted discount t shirts available in small, xxl and xxxl sizes. The band engaged the audience with the Chris Stapleton favorite, Tennessee Whiskey which was fun. We ultimately decided to enjoy one of the high top tables outside while I drank my beer, which I enjoyed and ended up purchasing an additional 4-pack for our long weekend in Roanoke. I got a flight of 5 beers: Monticello Mountain Ale, Rockfish Wheat, Full Nelson Pale Ale, Tangerine Kolsch, and a Phased Hazy IPA. The beers were pretty good except the Tangerine Kolsch tasted off. The Brimstone Bistro delivers your food order from the building next door. We both ordered the Brimstone Brisket sandwich. Perfect portion for us both. The atmosphere was friendly as well. Two customers brought their dogs, which we love. There is a huge outdoor seating area as well as roomy interior. Outdoor tables are covered with shade canopies. This place is a gem and we will be back for sure.
