The bad: The hamburger was NOT good. It was oddly very overly sweet (both the bun & onions) and the meat was a bit odd - just didn't give me confidence that I really knew what I was eating. I bought tix for the 4th row in a very small theater... sadly it was still far too near to the video screen - any fast motion on the screen really mad me it way too difficult & blurry to watch.

The concession stand employee, Foster, was awesome and made sure we went into the theatre happy with our purchases. We were also able to purchase alcohol for the show, each ID is allowed two drinks associated with it. Every area in the building was very clean, a major comfort when going to the movies. Our seats were nicely spaced away from other rows, which is always a plus when at the theatre. The seats also had the option to be adjusted and each one had a tray for holding snacks, what more could I ask for aside from Ardeth Bay sitting next to me ?

Remarkably, during the intermission of the show I had attended I had the extraordinary opportunity to chat quickly with the lead singer of the band that was performing at the particular program I had attended. Shockingly, he immediately shared with me the fact that he and his band had COMPLAINED to the management about the lack of heat in the theater and that the management had "blown them off". How contemptible and unforgivable is it that the management was unable to provide as simple and amenity as HEAT for a live music concert in the dead of winter? If you have read this far, I strongly urge you to RESIST the temptation to patronize this location - unless and until they show enough respect for their patrons to provide heat during the winter.

I recently visited to watch Reminders of Him and the cinema worker said even showing an email from Rutgers would suffice for the discount deal. Love this spot and being that it's on Rutgers' Piscataway/Livingston campus, it brings back so many memories of being a student there. You can buy tickets on their easy to navigate website (added fee) or in person. I've never experienced them to sell their tickets out, if you're wondering whether to buy in advance or at the cinema.

Show listings here are limited to at most 3 movies at any given time and include new releases, old releases, and/or occasionally recordings of live events (like the Swift ERAS Tour which costs a hefty $19.89 for admission). The stiff auditorium seating and standard surround sound are adequate for shorter 2D movies, though I personally wouldn't come here for features longer than 2 hours. The lack of proper ventilation in the three theaters here become very noticeable an hour into any movie, when you can both feel and smell the stagnant body heat of 40 people seated in a closed room. The combined miasma of body odor and popcorn is so unbearable at the 90-minute mark that I usually have to leave the screening after two hours, if for nothing else than to use the restroom at the end of the hall before three dozen other kids try to do the same. There are some concession-related promotions from Monday thru Wednesday, but the only remotely bearable part of the Rutgers Cinema experience is the $5 admission with student ID (or $0 thru certain special events) which is primarily meant to cater to students with no cars, no money, and nowhere to go. For the general public, your local AMC or even your home theater system will be overwhelmingly superior.

I have not seen any AMC theatres to complain about. I will continue to go to movies; home theatres cannot compare to the large screens and outstanding sounds in the movie theatres. Popcorn and drinks, and I am all set. We probably go to the theatre every couple of months. I recommend these theatres.
