The reason I came into Chudy's which specialises in Black hair products is because I have used a protein rinses before on my hair when it has become stressed out in the winter and dry. I find that some of the deep conditioning products intended for Black hair really do the trick. I guess if you use a relaxer you need the best conditioner around. The man at Chudy's was extremely helpful and asked my loads of questions before showing me loads of conditioners and explaining the best bits about each. The prices here are mid range and the Nexus products they sell are quite expensive (up to 15 for a large bottle). Some of the Black hair products are less expensive and a good conditioner will run you no more than 7 pounds. This shop also sells quite a large selection of wigs and fake hair pieces. If my conditioner doesn't do the job..who knows?

There are a number of different members of the team and all know what they are doing in their respective areas and give great advice to potential customers, doing so with a very happy demeanour and friendly professionalism. So, aside from the quality haircuts for reasonable prices, they offer highlights, tints, colour correction and hair extensions, if those are your kind of thing... even children's haircuts. Girls, if you are looking for some pampering before a special date or beach holiday perhaps you may want to try their choice of stand up or lay down sunbeds, spray tanning, facials, massages and full waxing service that ranges from upper lip to a Hollywood. I am not too sure that I would go for the latter option personally though. Full manicures and pedicures are on offer, as well as men's body care treatments. I don't particularly rate paying £175 plus extras for a balayage, only to end up with basically no…read moredifference in the colour. Initially I was told 'it will lighten up as the toner washes out', but numerous washes later it still looks.... Exactly the same. The ends look maybe a hint lighter, but I've seen bigger changes in my hair colour just from spending more time in the sun. It doesn't feel great when you tell your friends you've had your colour done and the reaction is '...really, what did you change?' I understand that I was starting with coloured hair, but I have had it lightened before, starting with a much darker colour and a different salon was able to get it to platinum blonde in one session. Don't get me wrong, the team were really lovely and hospitable when I was getting the haircut done, and if all you need is a cut this place will do great. However, I don't think it is great customer service if I come back to explain the result still isn't as expected, and the solution offered is to just pay for another session. I will. Just not here. And for the record, if you are using foils, it's not a balayage. See the second sentence of the definition if you just google 'balayage'
