I came here reading the reviews about how rude the staff were and to go some where else. For a person on a budget I went and try it out. I went on a Wednesday for the shots. Went in and I checked in they were very very friendly and out going! I was surprised that they give free nail trimming! Else where it would of costed me ten dollars! Anyways it was a in and out place. I waited like ten mins and my dog got her shots and nail trimming all for 45. The only thing I think was over price was the deworming pill. Half a pill for 20 bucks. I think with 20 bucks I would of gotten a whole bottle of it at a pet store. That's my only complaint. But their shots ranged from 5 to 10 dollars very cheap! Worth the money! Also they take credit and debit cards here with a 2.50 to use it. I didn't have a cash on me so the next bank was like miles away so I wasn't bothered with the extra charge! I don't know how this place is still in business. My boyfriend and I rescued a dog last week from the corona animal shelter who had her sent to this place to be fixed and vaccinated before we could take her home. We thought it was a little weird that the volunteer at the shelter told us when contacting this place, to send a text because they don't answer their phone. You would think that most professional places would answer a phone call for a customer, right? So, we go to pick up our dog from the vet, and you can't find this place. There's a poster in a window written in sharpie that says "starlight animal clinic." Apparently, the clinic operates out of a grooming facility. This place just screams sketchy. We go in, and the first things I notice are how filthy this place is, the terrible smell, and how warm it is. There was an old pizza box behind the mess that was the receptionist's desk. The blonde lady at the desk, who I'm assuming is Linda, was somewhat nice to us, but extremely unprofessional. The small waiting room is not separated from the operating/grooming room. That's right, they groom animals in the same room they perform surgeries on them. Since it's so warm in there, I can only imagine the germs and bacteria. While we were there, one of the puppies that they had spayed didn't have a cone on and was able to get to her stitches and tore them out, and had her intestines coming out. Why didn't the dog have a cone on in the first place? After getting this poor puppy stable and calling the vet, who wasn't on the premises and didn't come to fix the stitches, Linda finally got around to helping us check out and take our dog home. We were not told to make a follow up appointment. Fast forward one week, one of my dog's stitches came undone. My boyfriend texted Linda since they can't answer their phone to see what to do. Since they didn't have us make a follow up appointment, we thought that her stitches were dissolvable. After texting Linda, she says that the stitches do need to be taken out eventually. It would have been nice to have been told that while we were checking out and collecting our dog last week. After letting her know that we weren't informed about a follow up appointment, she texts, "Consider yourself told lol Giggle xoxo." I just think if you're going to run a business where there's sick animals, maybe the facility should be kept cool and clean to help prevent the spread of infection. I'm not sure why they prefer texting to calling. The way Linda corresponded through text with my boyfriend was extremely unprofessional. I would never speak to a client like that. Not telling us to schedule a follow up appointment and that the stitches eventually need to be removed is unacceptable. I would never recommend this filthy place to anyone. I wouldn't even bring a pet rock to be in their care. read more

Currently this clinic is closed as it is being remodeled but on their voicemail it says you can leave a message or email them to possibly get your pets records. Voicemails, emails and even direct messages on their Instagram have been left but no one is contacting my boyfriend or myself. I left a comment on a recent video they posted on Instagram and it was deleted. I then asked why it was deleted and now they have blocked me. Wow!! I'm absolutely blown away by the quality of not only service, but care that we received. Everyone in the office is amazing! From the moment we walked in our big guy was so curious about what was happening, and wanted to explore all the smells. They weren't upset one bit. They all fell in love with Tucker. He's a 61.9lbs pitbull. He's so very lovable! If you're looking for a vet that is going to take care of your baby/babies, and you're on a bit of a budget, this is definitely the place for you. The staff in knowledgeable, honest, and very kind hearted. I'll never take Tucker anywhere else! I took my little boy Zitto here today for his rabies shot to get a doggie license I needed for him. I looked up many places on Yelp as simple vaccines can be expensive!! This place was super and I mean super cheap!! Rabies shots were only $5!!! Know that this place is a no frills place. It is very small, but a straight way off the freeway and located on a side street of the main 6th street in Norco. I have never been out this way before. There are sooooo many animal places in Norco! I never knew that! Maybe that's why they offer such cheap vaccines. Anyways, the clinic here is open 3 days a week only - Wed, Thurs, and Sat for limited hours - so make sure to check before driving out here! This place was not all that far from me, less than 20 miles and worth the drive for super cheap vaccines. The places near me were at least $20 alone for just a rabies shot!! I also got my 4 legged child his 5 in 1 shots to update. Both shots costs me only $15!! Elsewhere, I would have easily paid at least $50. There was no wait for me today. I am guessing Saturdays are probably their busy days. I am glad I have a job that allows me to take care of many errands on weekdays without the horrendous crowds. We were in and out in about 10 minutes, shots done, paid, and rabies proof in hand. Like I said, this place is very no frills. When you walk in, it is small and does smell like animals. There is a small waiting area with only a handful of chairs. They do mostly vaccines here, but some simple stuff like spaying/neutering plus basic grooming and housing your pets as well for a nominal fee. Everything here is very reasonable priced. The check in lady was okay, not too friendly, but not rude... just more of a whatever attitude. The lady who gave the shots to my littlw boy however was very friendly and told me about cheap flea medicine that I could buy for him as well. They do sell flea medicine themselves, but she did not push that on me. This place takes cash or check only!! They have a vet on hand that is available for walk in check ups as well. After my boy got his shots, they gave me a sheet with things to look out for and emergency clinics that I can take him to as well, if adverse reactions happen. Zitto is at home and his happy self, running around! I am a fan of this place and for sure I would come back for sure for vaccines. They are the cheapest you can get all around. I cannot comment on their spaying/neutering as my boy is already neutered... but their prices are the best around!! Quick in and out!! I will be back when it's time for shots again! read more

This place is amazing!!! I recently rescued two little kittens. Believing one was a girl and one was a boy, I was desperate to have them spayed and neutered so I wouldn't end up with a pregnant cat. My Vet refused to fix the kittens until they were 6 months old (even though Kittens can get pregnant at 4 months). I searched around for a different place and I am happy to report I found Starlight Clinic. After I left a message I received a callback and was scheduled an appointment. When I arrived I was a little nervous as this place didn't look like I expected. I met with the owner (Linda) who gave me a tour of the clinic and walked me through the process. I asked some very direct questions about the procedure and the tools used and she not only explained how they did it, she showed me the sterilized tools. When I returned to pick up my kittens Linda went over everything that had happened with me. Including that the kitten I thought was a girl was really a boy. The kittens ended up having fleas and she walked me through the most inexpensive way to get rid of them and where to buy. I told her I wasn't comfortable and she gave me the number of a holistic doctor. A tech went through everything that was done and aftercare for my kittens. With some of the options, she gave me less expensive options that weren't through the clinic. I was impressed. She also told me it is not necessary to vaccinate my indoor cats every month but why I should do it every three months. It is very rare in this world to find a company that considers your animal and your costs before their own financial gain. This place is amazing! Before I left Linda gave me a hug and thanked me for my rescue efforts. I just knew I have found the best people, doing the best work. Give this place a chance and I guarantee you will be changed. I have been taking my dog and dogs I have rescued to this clinic for years .. I have ALWAYS had a good experience! I have helped Veteran friends with their dogs some who could not afford treatment, Linda always assists..Her priority IS the Animal. Her heart is for the animal as are the people who work and volunteer there! My dog is a PTSD service/support dog, and when he had surgery for possible cancer, I was a wreck, I could not leave him .. Linda allowed me to stay and wait for him. The patience and the kindness of the staff toward me and my dog was unbelievable! Turns out Praise God..it was not cancer!! It can get very busy there as we have spread the word to other rescue groups of affordable care for dogs so that more animals can be saved.. Starlight Clinic saved my puppy's life! I've been coming here for years for my Boston Terrier's shots, so when I got a new puppy (a 12 week old french bulldog/boston terrier) I took him as well. We did shots for both of them and then a puppy check up. Everything was fine until about 30 minutes later he started itching... I looked at his face and his eyes were swollen! I called Starlight Clinic and they answered instantly and said to bring him back right away. Luckily I was only about 10 minutes away, but in that time it got so bad he wasn't able to breathe! They took him to the back IMMEDIATELY, gave him injections of some sort and oxygen, and with in a couple of minutes he was stabilized, and a few minutes after that the swelling was going down. Turns out he had a severe allergic reaction to one of the vaccines :( I am so thankful for Starlight clinic. I really doubt if I would have brought him anywhere else that they would have leaped to action like that. If it would've even a minute longer he would've died. Thank you starlight clinic! read more

I have been looking for a place to spay my cat and found this as a nearby place with probably the best prices. Didn't find any reviews, but the person on the phone sounded pretty nice and thorough. They also offer vaccines and various other shots for both dogs and cats. This is definitely a small, but friendly place. The facility seems like it can only cater to a couple dozen pets at the most, but it looked well organized inside. By all means, its not a Four Seasons for pets, as I'm sure thats how they're able to keep their prices so minimal. It seems there are only two people on staff (possibly even volunteers), and they're only open on Wednesday from 10AM - 4PM and Saturday from 12PM - 4PM. Came in the morning to drop off my cat, and back in the later afternoon to pick up. Everything went smoothly and was given detailed instructions on care and what-ifs. Thanks! read more

Not recommended at all. I recently adopted my kitten from a woman who has an account with this clinic. That is the only reason I brought her here to get fixed, because everything was included in the adoption. As many others have stated, getting ahold of this clinic is frustrating. I called and left 2 messages in 1 day and called 2 times without leaving messages that same day. I didn't get a response so I called again the next day and left another message. While I was at work they called me 3 times and text me (?) that they were returning my call. When I got off work 30 mins later and called back, again, no answer... When we finally finished playing phone tag I set up an appointment to bring her in. It seemed easy enough. Drop off between 8-9 pick up between 5-6. When I went to drop her off there were others being helped so I waited my turn to fill out paper work. I didn't understand a lot of what it was asking so I asked for the woman up front to help me understand what I was signing. After I finished she let me know if I didn't "accept" some of the info they wouldn't do the procedure. (Exactly why I asked for help). I was already nervous about taking my kitty to get put under, and the look and smell of the place didn't help. All the cages lining the wall freaked me out. Later on my mom went to pick her up because I was working, and when she did they told her that it was $85! My mom rarely has this much money on her but they told her if she didn't pay she wasn't taking her home. My mom had to pull change out of her purse to get the money together when it should've been free in the first place! They told her because they couldn't reach the woman I adopted her from that I had to pay it. They did not call me to let me know before hand, just surprised us with an $85 bill. Very disappointed with the customer service at this clinic. I am furious that they went ahead with the services and charged my mom for them without ever contacting me. Do not go here. There are clinics that will spay and neuter for free and will help you fill out paperwork. Beware! read more

This place was the greatest! First off, it was hard trying to find a vet that could fix my male cat during the hours I work (My job would not give me the time off). They were able to get him in on Saturday morning. They were a little hard to get a hold of but that was before I knew the number linked, is actually a cell phone to one of the vets. But they did respond to my voicemail i left the next day. Yes, the place is small and smells like animal, but honestly, I was so happy t get my cat fixed and get his shots, it wasn't even a big deal. its a clean place and you can see the vet techs back there cleaning as she takes care of the animals. On our way here, which is only like 5 minutes, my kitty was so upset, he managed to scrap his nose on the carrier and made it bleed! It freaked me out and was super upset when I got to the clinic. They assured me he was fine and that they would take care of it for us, which made ma feel instantly better. The lady was so nice there, Linda, and she explained the aftercare and everything. My little fur baby was well taken care of. When we got home, he must've licked it without me seeing it and opened up his incision! I immediately called and texted the number to the vet and they gave me instruction on how to take care of it, and said to come in again if it has not healed. He is great and healed up nicely. They even gave us some medicine to put on our baby's nose so that could heal too. Honestly, or the price i paid and the service I got, I will definitely come back here. This isn't a "bells & whistles" place, but who cares? If you want heartfelt care for your pet this is the place. I've taken 2 cats for spay/shots and 2 doxies for spay/neuter & shots. It's basic but clean so I don't understand earlier reviews. There's no smell at all (no dirty smell, no antiseptic smell -- more like being in a clean home). When I dropped my dogs off they were gathering bedding for wash. My male dachshund had a complication after his neuter (bleeding under the skin), but they're hyper dogs. I kept him and his sister quiet for 24 hours, but after that it was back to doxie races up & down the stairs and heaven knows what else! The bleeding wasn't the vet's fault. I continued with antibiotics and all was fine. Thee vet is a younger guy, very friendly and I can't imagine rough handling as mentioned in another review. After my doxies spay and neuter I got written health report and post-op instructions. The $3.50 fee to use a credit card is annoying to be honest. Just build the cost into the price of the procedure! But their spay/neuter prices are way less expensive than other places so I guess it balances out. read more

This was my first experience with a low cost clinic I've always taken my pets to be sterilized to my vet. The place is a bit scary looking, but the staff is extremely friendly and obviously are all animal lovers. My puppy's incision has been healing properly and he was back to his normal self the very next day after all the meds wore off. The only complaint I have about the clinic was that they misspelled my name on the neuter certificate, I guess that could happen anywhere. Honest mistake. After I came in to pick up my puppy they gave me detailed instructions on what I should do to help my little guy heal and stay safe after surgery. She started cursing at the customers because they were questioning if their dogs surgery was botched. I've never seen someone talk to customers like this. I wish i could give a higher rating that 5, this place is GREAT!!! I wont got anywhere else! I have 2 dogs, brother and sister, that are a yr and a half. We got all of their puppy shots, Micro Chips, Spayed and Neutered, and Year shots done here! Every time has gone extremely smoothly, my dogs actually enjoy going in and getting all the attention from the staff (including treats). Best of all I have saved SOOOO much money! At 4 months old the girl, Bailey, started having seizures. I started paying thousands of dollars to Emergency Clinics (always seemed to happen on a Sunday night when Starlight wasn't open) to tell me she is the Healthiest dog! Last month the seizures got so bad we put her on mediation. We got the medication from the Emergency Vet but this time I went to Starlight to get the testing done a few days after and it was 1/4 the price!! Once again, Starlight saved me so much money! Linda, the owner, called the prescription in to Walgreens (by my house) and it was $15 out the door (I PAID $60 for the same medication thru the emergency clinic!!!) I knew i would save money but i saved way more that I thought was possible! The Vets here are sooo friendly. I have taken Bailey in 2 more time since the testing and the Vet looked at her for free! Linda, the owner, is even more amazing! The 1st time i went in there i was almost in tears because i was so upset and zlinda was able to re-assure me Bailey would be fine. They are able to save everyone money because they work so hard! Each employee does the job of 5 people and do NOT stop all day- so please keep that in mind! Came here to vaccinate my 7 month kitty. Prices are very good and the staff are friendly. No need for appointments for shots just walk in and the wait is about 10-15 minutes depending on the day. Was referred by Norco Animal Shelter for rabies shot/license renewal for just $5.00. Probably the cheapest price around. No waiting in lines for Saturday clinics. They have them during the week, no appointments needed. They even came out to the car to give my dogs their shot so I didn't have to take them in. In and out in about 10 minutes. Cheap and fast. **UPDATE Once again, I have nothing but good things to say. My puppy, Lilly, was spayed and had her surgery here. She is a VERY active dog and was very difficult to keep quiet while she healed. Her incision started to separate so I took her in and had her examined and re-stapled. I was told to bring her back in a week for staple removal. During that time; my mom ended up in the hospital and I lost track of time. I thought for sure it was a Tuesday that I was supposed to bring her back when infact it had been Monday and I missed it. So Monday night Lilly got really rambunctious and managed to turn one of her staples inside out and was quite uncomfortable. Tuesday morning I set out bright and early driving from Seal Beach to Norco only to get there and find out they were CLOSED!!! I of course was in a panic because of Lilly's turned staple. I knocked on the door anyway and even though they were closed, Michelle let me in and took the staples out herself. I was SO grateful because I would have had to pay a different vet an exam fee plus staple removal. Michelle not only took care of me when they were closed but didn't charge me anything because I'd had her surgery done there. Again, it's not pretty on the inside but the heart's of the staff are downright beautiful! read more

Starlight was able to handle my Very fractious (upset and mean with claws and teeth) cat for his neuter. He had actually been sent home from two clinics because they couldn't handle him. My baby girl bell is 15 and had surgery here. I have never been so happy with how they treat animals. Sommer is a amazing employee that works their and treated bella like her own. My baby girl got her surgery and is on her way to recovery thank you all so much for being so amazing to our dog, I didn't have one worry while she was under. First pros: This place was great! Took my kitty to get spayed, she got dropped off and then picked her up at the end of the day. The reviews had me second guessing it but most of the bad ones are off or maybe outdated. The front desk lady was nice, she even offered coffee. The place isn't a top notch brand new bldg but they do get the job done. Cons: the biggest reason why this place didn't get a full 5 from me was because of the way the go about contacting them. All these employees are awesome, Summer, Chelsea, Karen, Dr. all staff & volunteers. I have had 3 puppies spayed and nuetured, AVID chips, Shots. I will be taking the Momma in 3 weeks for spay and AVID chip. They are a busy place but have time to talk with you in depth, they really care about the animals in their clinic. On a moments notice they were able to give a Health check & cert to an 18lb. cat adaopted at the Riverside Shelter that was to travel via airline to TN. Really good place. Having a large number of pets, vet bills get pretty pricey. I stumbled across Starlight when we rescued two feral kittens. A total of $80 to neuter them vs what my vet quoted which was over $300. No the place doesn't have a seating area with magazines for you to read. But they are straight to business and do not overcharge you. Always polite when I walk in and always willing to address any questions I have. We truly appreciate this place! Oh and $5 rabies shots?! We fostered a cat from a local rescue, with option to adopt if we had a good fit. We are new to cats. The cat had runny nose with yellow/brown mucus & diarrhea . The rescue made an appt with starlight. We arrived at our appt time. The place was busy so a woman named Linda asked we come back in a few hours, so we did. On intake form I wrote on the bottom the name of rescue, as the appt was to be at no charge. We waited almost 3 hours to be seen. A woman named Linda took us to a cubicle. We explained the reason for our visit. In addition my 11 year old ( who is the care giver ) had a few questions as this is our first cat. 1. How much does she weigh? 2. How much should we feed? 3. She didn't meow, is that normal? 4. Approx age? No big deal. Linda went CRAZY!!!! Screamed and yelled profanities at us. Stated we don't own the cat and we are liars. I tried to tell her we agreed to foster with the rescue , they made appt for us. Which was written on the entry form. As her behavior became very aggressive & combative, my 11 year old & 8 year old in tears. She abruptly put the cat back in the carrier and refused to treat. Which was fine with me, Just wanted to get the kids out of there before she became combative. We took the cat to centennial 2 days later. Spent 181.00 to see the vet. Cat was given meds for respiratory infection, cat had low grade fever & was treated for parasites. I followed up looking into this dump as I have had many dogs, horses & reptiles and never had a vet behave in such a bizarre manner. Reports still pending!!!!!! Linda holds NO credentials in treating in any animals. The cal board of vet medicine was expired at the time of the visit. However in the past few years she has 2 different vets listed, I never saw ANY one but her. Reading others reviews, doesn't seem anyone has seen any vet, just Linda. It also seems this behavior is somewhat common. After reporting to appropriate authorities, it was mentioned she takes in cats/kittens and charges a surrender fee. Then turns around and gives to rescues who then charge a fee, which goes back to her. Next to the clinic there is a room over filled with cats/kittens, often sickly due to over crowding & lack of care. I would stay clear of this place & Linda. If she behaves to people like this, have to wonder how she treats animals in back, in addition to holding NO legal veterinary credentials. I adopted 2 cats from the animal shelter who automatically sent them here. Should have known this place would be bad, since the worker at the animal shelter winced when she said they'd have to send them to starlight. (it was the only animal clinic still open) The place was extremely unsanitary and smelled like piss. The service was god awful, so rude an unhelpful. The real kicker was we didn't get our cats for FOUR days---longer than it would have been at any of the other clinics. And they NEVER answer the phones. Had to call animal control just to find out where we could pick them up. read more
