Me and my friends did the black light tours and it was a lot of fun. Our tour guide Wes was a really nice guy who knew a lot about the caves. I personally and terrified of caves but his jokes definitely make the experience more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend a tour with Wes! read more

Cave tour was a fun little walk that took about an hour. Karen was our tour guide and provided a fun history of the cave. This particular cave is a younger cave so the formations are limited in numbers and size but still a cool cave to visit. The lake in the entrance was very cool and many waterfalls were active as it was raining pretty good when we visited. They provided umbrellas for the walk to the cave and the visitor center had many fun items. Take a moment and enjoy this tour! read more

We had a great time seeing the Stark Caverns. Gracie was our tour guide, and she was so much fun and informative! Gracie had a great energy about her and it made us excited about being on the tour. There are different caverns in the area and each one has its own unique character. The tour takes an hour, and I was glad I had my sweatshirt. There were cool artifacts for your viewing, and a rich history of the past. The large metal doors at the entrance of the caverns were cool and so were the little extra halloween decor! read more

I have been through most of the Ozarks caves and this was higher priced and not as scenic of cave as others. Not a single stalagmite joined to a stalactite. Ethan was our guide and he was ok maybe talking too much. Not many formations and small rooms compared to other caves. read more

Came and brought my twin 7 yr olds for a tour. Our Guide Lee was awesome. Very knowledgeable and very understanding with the impatient kiddos who wanted to run wild in a cave. Called an audible and stopped in at Stark Caverns. Our tour guide, Christy, was very knowledgeable and rocked at her job. Between the puns and the knowledge she provided, our tour rocked. I wouldn't take this cavern tour for granite. There's so much history in this cave, especially how certain animals would hibernate in the winter. I could bearly wrap my head around how old this cave was. This tour was pretty stalagTIGHT. Puns aside, highly recommend this tour. Christy was a fantastic tour guide. read more

We recently toured the Stark Caverns and it was very educational and a rewarding experience. Our tour guide, Elle, was extremely knowledgeable of all the formations in the cave, and made the tour an interesting and intriguing adventure. The gift shop contained many interesting souvenirs--we decided to get two geodes which the attendant helped us crack. My daughter who is currently finishing her studies at Mizzou decided to take a day trip . I called ahead to ask some questions about the facility and Stephanie was very well informed. We took the one hour drive and Stephanie greeted us and was so wonderful and extremely informative. She was a wealth of information and in addition to learning a little of the history of the cave and what has been in it the past was a wonderful at unfolding the stories of past and present. Looking at the reviews I see my daughter and I were so lucky to have Stephanie share the history and her detailed description of the different minerals. Way above my head but what a wonderful and informative teacher. Now if I could only retain what I heard today. She talked about all the different mammals and reptiles that lived in the caverns of the cave. Pointed out some barrels from prohibition. So much to learn and explore. I took my 5yr old niece and my 12yr old daughter on Saturday,, April 15 of 2023 to visit the Caverns for the first time even though we live locally for three years, now, we have not made our way to this cavern. My husband was 30 years active duty, Air Force and government work. We've lived everywhere around the world we visited numerous caverns however, this particular cavern stood out from all the rest in several ways. Our guide Paula was absolutely amazing!! Paula was very patient. Very very knowledgeable very passionate about her work you could tell she loved what she did with her heart and soul!! This is not a job to Paula. This is a lifestyle and passion and it shows! She educated us on all of the minerals in the local area to include my area where I live I've never had more education inside of any cavern I've visited ever. The history was so deep and amazing that she had all of our attention. The ambience in the cave was amazing from start to finish the way everything is set up is phenomenal!! All of the different artifacts inside the cavern to educate people and show people because seeing really is believing makes it that much better. All of the staff working we're happy they were all playful with each other. Everything was very lighthearted, even though there was a storm going on outside. One of Missouri's famous thunderstorms in the cavern. You couldn't tell. The climate remains. We will be coming back for not only the escape room, the blacklight tour, they have camping events they put on dinners for certain holidays. They do things no other cavern does in the United States. Well worth the visit. Great little gift shop we even had to come back the next day for a couple things we felt like we missed out on and had to have! Another amazing thing that this gift shop does that none of the other gift shops I have visited do is the way that they crack open their geodes. It's really neat for the kids to see and the adults. It's the safest most rational way I've ever seen them opened. This should be patented and spread throughout!! Honestly, keep up the good work you guys made us feel like we could actually live inside the cavern no problem! My daughter even commented about having a job there one day, which was amazing for me as her mother to think she's as interested in the most amazing things on earth as I am. This is a great place to visit. The history of the area and cavern is amazing. It has everything from a damned up lake inside the cave to a burial area. It was used during prohibition and offers tours for groups and learning activities. They also have a large gift shop with dirt you can pan ( no the dirt is not local, but the kids had a blast doing it!) There is some climbing but they are very cautious of its visitors and have waiting areas if you don't want to make the climbs. They have also added night tours and glow tours with escape room type themes!! (We have not done those but definitely thinking about it! read more

Absolute best time with family! The staff is very attentive, the tour well organized. We particularly appreciate the concern for social distancing and wearing masks, everyone else around here seems to be acting like there is no pandemic. All staff wear masks, the tour guide Amanda was wearing a face shield. The tour is easy to walk, very manageable even for people who are not comfortable in closed spaces. We had our thirds graders with us and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience! Be sure to pan for rocks afterwards! read more

I got two tours over two days from two great tour guides in Lee and Erin- they both have a great knowledge of the cave and can point out interesting things that you will see only in this cave.
