This is where Jim came to the rescue, he called me back right away to say he could accommodate my 2 pitties right away, for 5 days! Keep in mind, this is a pet resort, but it's not a salon. They don't groom dogs, but they offer bathing, depending how well natured your fur baby is. You need to bring leash, collar & food. Blankets/bedding, treats & any toys for your fur friends are up to you, if you want to bring or not, but it's not necessary. Jim has a FANTASTIC environment for dogs, where they can run around & play. There is even a shallow pool/pond (I'm guessing it's for the summer months). There are several runs that he offers to allow a bunch of dogs, & he lets them out 5-6x/day, for break time & outdoor playing. The building that the dogs are housed is very clean & the inside temperature was quite comfortable. The individual "rooms" have plenty of space to lay around & for some small play (chewing on your favorite ball). Fortunately, my 2 pits were able to share a kennel, to keep each other company. I felt very comfortable having Jim care for our dogs. He responds to your texts quickly, no matter if it's receiving your dog's vaccination info, to how your is doing. When we went to pick up the dogs, they were happy & look well cared. I'll definitely be giving Jim a call, when I'm back in Omak with my 2 pitties. I am incredibly focused on the idea of breeding for health and longevity, rather than show qualities. We found Libby and her amazing great danes from Poland and our puppy came home with us this weekend. You may never get a puppy from her, or even like great danes, but we have to admire those rare and wonderful breeders who take their bloodlines seriously and only want healthy dogs. If you want a great dane... this is the breeder to choose. If you want ANY dog at all, check out the breeders well beforehand. There are good and bad out there.

I have had my dog who was pregnant ultrasounds and X-rays done here, the whole staff was onboard in case they needed to intervene or start delivering puppies, I brought in the 10 pups for first shots and health exams, mom got spayed here, I've also had two other dogs brought in for X-rays from injuries and my cat who has severe allergies. Every-time has been great- sure it costs money- it's a vet you have a pet expect a bill. The staff are all kind and thoughtful. Personally I love how in depth the vet gets she's passionate and fully on top of her game! In another world if I had pursued veterinary medicine I would love to work under her guidance! I called the emergency number, and lucky for me, Dr. Rust was on-call that evening. I had difficulty getting my dog's bleeding to stop. Dr. Rust gave me instructions to care for my dog until I could get to the clinic. I live approx 1.5 hours away from the clinic but I felt like Dr. Rust was right by my dog's side the entire time. I had already been out in zero weather for almost half an hour and needed to go inside for the bathroom. He came while I was inside. I saw there was a text on my phone, saying "He was here, rang the doorbell, but no one answered, so he left." Problem: I don't have a doorbell. He came into the porch to knock or even knock on the storm door (my 4 dogs would have gone ballistic, letting me know. I called him and was spoken to with such anger and contempt, informing me that he couldn't come back (he'd literally been gone 3 minutes) and wasn't coming back my way later. I asked if I would be billed for the farm call, and he said, "he would see about that". Well, apparently, his way of handling it was to decide not to serve my horse ever. Because I called for a farm call for my sick horse, and he refused and even wouldn't do a haul-in appointment for me. Hurt my horses, and you are out of my world. I've given him plenty of my dog business and even worked with him on a rescue dog issue, and I was very impressed with his care. But I'm done now, no room for petty, immature behavior. I would have paid the 80 bucks for a missed farm call even though it wasn't 100% my fault (70+ year old bladder) but then he might have still treated me like he did....

Charged me $433. Now off to another vet to get job done
