For years I  have had dogs, and for years I have always wished that I had 'one of those dogs'…read more We all know what I mean by 'those dogs'; the behaved ones, the ok on a leash and doesn't pull you ones, the you can take anywhere ones, the ones that aren't an embarrassment. So before the arrival of my Irish Terrier puppy came I armed myself with all of the knowledge of the breed, I had made the choice and knew from day one that puppy training was not an option but a must for this dare devil dog. When Roots came we started with Puppy Training at Bosley's with Shannon from Yoga Dog, it was at the puppy stage I soon realized it was more about what we do as owners , than pulling the lucky straw. Roots and I continued with Shannon at Yoga Dog with agility classes, not for the sport but rather for the active training and bonding it provided, never mind it is a great form of constructive exercise for my Terrier and teaches him to be around other dogs. It wasn't that the dogs came behaving a certain way, but rather about what we do as owners,  I was very fortunate to have found Shannon and her services, I can honestly say that I now have 'one of those dogs'

My dog and I were greeted by a friendly and happy employee. I felt comfort in leaving my dog there for a few days. Rates are very reasonable. Employees attentive and kind. When I returned to pick up my dog they didn't know I was there yet - I noticed how kind they were treating the other dogs. Mine looked comfortable around them. Definitely will use Aspen Kennels again. My pup seemed happy and tired. Big bonus is that she didn't stink - which is the usual from other boarding places.

Lisa has been a tremendous help to us with our dog Lucy. Lisa's expertise is invaluable! Lucy had…read morebeen in the shelter for several months when we adopted her at a little over a year old and we don't know much about her background. She is such a sweet girl with my husband and I but becomes aggressive, anxious and highly excitable in new situations. Lunging when on the leash around other dogs and barking uncontrollably when new people come to our house were 2 of the biggest problems we knew we needed help with. Lisa was recommended to us by another trainer as an expert on training dogs with behaviors such as Lucy's. We were not at all familiar with over reactive dogs but Lisa right away upon introduction was able to assess and offer positive guidance on how we can help Lucy. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable and experienced but she has a calm manner that is very reassuring. Almost immediately with her specialized help we noticed improvement in certain areas. We like the individual attention and appreciate the small class size. The lessons are broken down into a manageable size and not overwhelming. Also the training booklet includes lots of tips and examples and has been very helpful to use at home while working with Lucy. Lisa is not only wonderful with dogs but with pet parents too! We moved to Seattle 5 years ago and haven't been satisfied with the total care of our dogs. We also were constantly referred to specialists, because the vet there does only basic care. So now we drive back to Winthrop for our Dogs care. I'd rather drive there for shots teeth cleaning and other services than spend 500. - 1000. On vet services because it's Seattle and they can charge more. Our Bassett Hound loves him too.

We called these wonderful folks and they were able to squeeze us in immediately between other procedures they had scheduled for that day. They stitched up our pup in no time and sent us home with all the medicine. They couldn't have been nicer about the whole thing! Thanks to them, what was otherwise a jarring experience ended on a good note.
