It's on the northwest corner of Midland and Ellesmere. Two Saturdays ago, I was driving up from running errands at Warden and Eglinton. I was thirsty. I needed a beverage. I decided to check out this cafe. If you are going southbound along Midland, it's a breeze to turn right to get to this Starbucks. I was going in the opposite direction. I ended up turning left to go into some business's parking lot, came right out, and then drove into the Starbucks drive-thru. There was a bit of a lineup. The wait wasn't horrible. I ordered a grande iced peach green tea. The woman on the other end was so nice and friendly. The way that she spoke made me think that she was an English major or an actress. Her phrasing and articulation were impressive, which I frankly don't expect from a barista at any cafe! I pulled up to the window and had this nice barista scan the barcode on my Starbucks app. I grabbed my drink out and she wished me a pleasant weekend. I reciprocated and drove away. I exited onto Ellesmere Road. I turned up Kennedy Road and headed home, sipping my drink the entire time. I loved iced peach green tea. It was perfect. It quenched my thirst. I was a happy camper. Although this cafe has odd entrance and exit setups, I had a great experience. If you are a public transit person, this cafe is steps away from Ellesmere station along the Scarborough LRT (Light Rapid Transit) line. If I were a commuter, I like the idea of grabbing a drink or snack before or after riding the LRT. So convenient! (231)

I noticed this Starbucks cafe next to the Mr Sub where I had placed a takeout order last Saturday. I was debating whether I should check it out. I didn't really need anything from the place. My Mr Sub order had a canned drink after all. Well, after grabbing my takeout, I was curious and headed over to Starbucks. Both businesses are in a vast parking lot, so parking is not an issue. This cafe doesn't have a drive-thru. I didn't mind it. I don't think that one would work well given the design of the plaza with box stores. What surprised me was that this store did not have any places to sit down. It was weird. It's set up to grab your order and go. I looked at older photos posted on Yelp for this business listing. It did have chairs and seats years ago. I'm not sure what the rationale was behind getting rid of seating. I frankly wasn't going to sit down, but what if you needed to? There was one person ahead of me at the ordering area. It allowed me to figure out what I wanted. I spotted what looked like the last snowman sugar cookie left. I don't frequent Starbucks as much as I used to. However, I do make it a ritual to get a snowman cookie every year. I nabbed the last one. I got the nicest male barista at the counter. He was great. My order consisted of these items: - Grande iced peach green tea - Snowman sugar cookie I paid with my Starbucks card through the Starbucks app. Done! I waited over at the pickup area. It was busy with roughly four people waiting for their orders. My order was pretty straightforward. I was holding my cookie. The nice man who helped me with my order also made my drink. I thanked him and wished him a great evening. I got a straw and left the cafe to drive myself home. I sipped on my iced peach green tea. It was refreshing and delicious. I was glad that I did get a drink to keep me happy and hydrated driving home. I had my snowman sugar cookie for dessert. It was buttery and sweet. I loved it. I got my yearly fix. Staff are friendly and I loved my drink. It's a shame that you can't sit down here. However, if you are a grab-my-order-and-go person, this cafe is for you. (442)

This cafe was doing steady business at around 2 pm on a Saturday. I got in line. There were a couple of folks ahead of me, which gave me time to look over the beverage menu and gawk at all the yummy-looking cakes and pastries in front of me. Oh, my! I got the nicest female barista who stepped me through everything. I wanted the oat caramel chai on the menu. I saw the fine print that it could also be ordered iced, which appealed to me. She asked me if a medium was okay. I rarely visit a Second Cup that her prompting the perfect size for me was awesome. I got a medium iced oat caramel chai. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I thanked her and moved over to the pickup table. I was carrying a bag of goodies from Cinnaholic. I didn't even think of putting it on the small table. I'd expect drinks to be placed there. An obnoxious man joined me at the pickup area. He leaned over this table by putting his forearms on it to look at his phone. I gave him quite the stare. He eventually moved himself off the table. Ugh! My drink was ready. The nice barista placed it on the table that no longer had a hunched-over man over it. I got a straw, put it through the lid, and left the store. This drink was delicious. It was slightly sweet. I loved the caramel notes with the chai flavour. The oat beverage was barely noticeable. I liked that it was a dairy-free drink. So good! It was my first time sipping on a drink as a commuter on a train. There's a first for everything. I had an excellent experience, minus the annoying hunched-over-table guy. I'd return here for more drinks and maybe get some cake. (477)

I heard about the afternoon happy hour deal from 2pm - 3pm which is buy one get one drink half off and thought that was the perfect excuse to come. Timothy's is definitely more expensive than Tim Hortons and Second Cup and just a little bit cheaper than Starbucks. For these kind of prices, I do expect a lot. It was pretty busy at in the later half of 2:00pm presumably because of the deal. There was a little bit of a wait to order and definitely when waiting for our drinks since there was only one cashier and one barista working at that time. I was there with a couple so we were able to try 3 different drinks. The iced caramel latte had a nice consistency and was pretty tasty. Similar to an iced cappuccino from Tim's but smoother. The caramel latte had a strong espresso taste which I liked a lot. Our third drink was the sea salt hot chocolate which was a tad sweet. We actually wound up mixing the latte and the hot chocolate together to make an impromptu mocha which was actually really nice. If you really enjoyed your coffee, you can take it home with you to have at any time if you also have a Keurig machine. There's a huge selection of K-Cups that you can mix and match. They have a deal that's 24 cups for $15.99. There were also some jars of their signature hot chocolate that would make a great gift.
