It's November 29, 2025 at 2:47 PM, and I'm currently inside the Starbucks in Vicksburg where the employees have locked the lobby doors with customers still inside. You can't exit unless an employee comes from behind the counter with a key to unlock the door. I told the staff this was unsafe, and they said "the district manager gave us permission." I even called Starbucks corporate, and they confirmed this is a fire code issue and told me I should contact local authorities. Corporate also said they have no way of knowing which district manager approved this for them to address it directly. I'm not trying to stir up drama -- I just don't feel comfortable knowing that, if a fire or emergency happened, nobody inside could get out quickly. Fire code requires free, unobstructed exit at all times, and this definitely isn't that. The employees mentioned they are overwhelmed with the volume of customers, but if that's the case, the store should be appropriately staffed, not locking customers inside the building. Safety shouldn't be sacrificed because of understaffing. Posting this so the community is aware and so the right people see it. This is a serious safety hazard and shouldn't be happening at any business. read more

Cold coffee served several times, even after ordering hot coffee and steamed milk . I notice that the business has less and less customers. Even during peak hours when you think it should be busy.There will be very few customers there.And the reason is, they have shown so many people, poor customer service that people just aren't going back there.They're going to the other coffee houses that are local. read more

I visited this Starbucks regularly while staying and working in the area. Every time I ordered at the counter/drive-thru or on the app, my drink was ready extremely quickly. The staff was always friendly whenever I visited. Even when the drive-thru line was long, it moved quickly and you don't have to wait long. My drinks were always made well too! read more

Come to hear some of the employees discussing how there is black mold behind the wallpaper and laughing about it, saying that it was just covered up with paint. Went in to pick up some coffee, here from out state my service animal was NOT allowed in the store at all the young lady in the green had a very nasty attitude about this manner I was trying to explain to her that you are not allowed to ask me about the paperwork of this animal of this service animal only thing you could ask me is this a service animal and what is the service another customer explained to Lady the same thing so we going back-and-forth so I decided not to purchase anything there and just walk away. As a Starbucks barista from out of state, I am quite surprised by how many of the baristas that are rude at this location. The first day that I came into town, a barista was yelling at my cousin, and arguing with him about the drink he ordered, rather than nicely rectifying the situation. They all need work on their customer service, and urgency on time management. Meaning, making all the drinks quickly, and given to the customers quickly. read more

It's your typical, busy Starbucks. We took the drive thru route because, COVID... They got our order correct and most importantly I didn't have to subject myself to Whataburger coffee. That's a win for me! And they "created" a lemonade or me. No complaints for us! read more

Stopped by here to grab a quick coffee on our road trip. We went inside and were completely ignored. Two ladies came in after us and were helped before us as we stood there waiting for someone to even acknowledge us which never happened. This location went through a major overhaul in customer service recently and it shows. They let their rude baristas go and brought in a much friendlier staff. Everyone is so nice and if they don't get your order right they fix it right up. Tatum is always one of my favorites. read more

The staff needs training on how to make drinks. I went to this location on two different occasions and both times my drinks were bad. I ordered a simple ice coffee, and it tasted watered down and strange. I ordered a white chocolate mocha the time before and it tasted like hot milk. Please get your staff some proper training.
