Inside is decorated with framed advertisements, movie posters and record sleeves from a bygone age. There are jams and marmalades that you can buy, and a good range of seating that can accommodate largish groups. Each table is adorned with a tablecloth, and the drinks are served in cups and saucers. If you ask for tea, it comes in a teapot, resplendent with a tea cosy, with enough tea for many a refill. Food wise, a good variety of homemade cakes, from crispy cakes, to brownies and cheese scones. Hot food wise, there a jacket potatoes with a range of filings, crumpets, toast and a fine Welsh Rarebit, flavourful cheese and topped with a slice of fresh tomato, so tasty! They also serve a range of sandwiches, an afternoon tea and a savoury platter. Friendly staff, and an inexpensive menu, round off an impressive place.
