They serve the normal range of breakfast butties, tea, coffee etc,. in the mornings at a really reasonable price, and at lunches have a massive choice. They have the usual salads, wraps and sandwiches, but have also started dabbling in chinese dishes which is long overdue (nowhere else in the town centre does a Chinese lunch buffet as far as I am aware!). They deliver to your door if you work in the town cenre, you can pre-order, and they are always laughing and smiling - what more could you want? Oh and they are also of the attitude that they want to gear their business around what the customer wants so they welcome honest feedback and want suggestions of what they are missing on the menu. Quality is of utmost importance to Donna and I have known her throw whole cakes away that she has baked because she thinks they are not 'quite' to standard - even though they have seemed fine to me. All the dishes are prepared by hand by Donna or her small team. The only one little negative I guess is its quite small so you may be pushed to find a seat at busy times, especially outside as there are only a couple of tables. Yesterdays only opened a few weeks ago and already it is a buzzing, packed out Americana styled 50's & 60's cafe on a side street in Polesworth. There are American state number plates bordered around the ceiling, a giant jukebox blasting out Johnny Cash and an aroma of hot dogs I can still smell. The menu is made up of American actor and actress named burgers, such as the Marilyn Monroe or the Clint Eastwood and 8inch hot dogs known as the Paul Newman and Marlene Dietrich. They also offer milkshakes, with a list of flavours as long as your arm. You name the chocolate bar, fruit or sweets you want and they'll have it and transform it into an ice-creamed mix up dream. I had the Marlon Brando burger - a juicy chicken burger with cheese and salad and a Ferrero Rocher milkshake. The burger was good and though the milkshake didn't look like anything special it tasted amazing. The only downside to Yesterdays is the size of the place. As it is so small there can't be more than 5 people in the queue before it leads out of the door. They did seem overwhelmed being in such demand - though it was a Saturday afternoon - I only wish the service was up to an American standard. What am I going to have next time?

Unfortunately this didn't live up to expectations…read more The kids had hot dogs which i would describe as of very poor quality served on bread that fell to bits. the ketchup sauce bottles looked like they'd not been cleaned for a long time. The burgers were okish although, again, not the greatest quality. Price wise, it was more than i was expecting, and although not a huge user of fast food, you'd get far better quality at a better price at Burger king.
