Hooray for dependable coffee! If you live in a city, it's the very chic, in thing to eschew all major coffee brands and claim to ONLY drink the Joe from Molly McFlanagan's down the corner.
But when you live in Hillbilly, West Midlands, "getting" a Costa or a Starbucks is a big achievement -- soon, we think, other great businesses will start flocking in, a la Gillian, and grace our small urban development with fantastic things to buy, eat, do and wear, in no particular order.
There is one Costa Coffee in Tamworth, but it is in the centre of town, where it's hard to park, and where there aren't really any decent shops, just a run down shopping centre and a 60s-style flower hall. Sad and sweet, and not the scene I need for my morning mochafrappawhappy.
The new Costa Coffee in Ventura Park is sufficiently slick and polished, and brand, spanking new. There's ample parking right outside, or in the nearby larger car park, and plenty of tables and chairs out in the patio area.
It's nice and clean inside, and the staff are all helpful, and like every other Costa, it's a great place to grab a spot of caffeine while shopping, or a sandwich for lunch. Reasonable prices, and dependable, nationwide selection. read more
